Had four nights with the Wife, two kids and the dog. This is a beautiful site, well laid out and spotless. The owners are very good and keep the site to a five star standard. Excellent modern toilet block with separate shower rooms. The showers are 50p meter fed and there's plenty of time to get a good soaking. There are two fishing lakes one small with a variety of fish. And a decent sized carp lake, I fished the carp lake and had a great time fish ranging from 1lb to 14lb and I think bigger as I was snapped a couple of times. There is a narrow lane about a mile long up to the site but its very open so you can see cars coming and there is passing places. We had no problem, and its a lovely drive with the river running along side you. The only negative to us was poor internet coverage and poor phone signal, And with two teenagers its very quiet. But if you want peace and quiet in a beautiful spot with excellent facilities great fishing, great dog walk close to the M5. This ticks all the boxes. Me the wife and dog will be back not the kids.

Love this site. So clean and tidy. Hard standing pitches next to the river with your own water tap. The views around the lakes are lovely so much attention to detail. If you have a dog there is a great walk which is fenced around the field, or over the footbridge normal fields. The owners are so friendly and helpful. We all loved seeing the baby lambs in the barn. This is a quiet site but children are made most welcome. The site is at the end of a narrow lane about a mile long but there are passing places. Asda and Tesco not far away. Look forward to our holiday here every year.

This site is down a very long narrow lane with no passing places.

It has only 5 poor quality hard standings which are next to the river which is unfenced so could be dangerous for small children

The grass play area is a long way away. The toilet block is unheated and in need of refurbishment. There are two unisex showers with a slot machine taking 50p for hot water.

You have to pay also for hot washing up water 20p. All are very clean.

There are 25 static caravans and 20 permanently sited caravans.

The facilities were stretched when busy.

East Huntspill is an unattractive village with two pubs and a poor shop.

Picked this site as we prefer quieter, uncommercialised campsites. Found the site easily off the main road, approach road narrow but well surfaced with the occasional stopping place. Was a little confusing upon arrival as not sure where to park or where reception was but note said to check in at farmhouse. Friendly welcome from the owner who showed us around the facilities.

Site small, and appears very popular with seasonal tourers who were there cleaning/tidying their vans. A small mixture of statics and wood lodges also but these are well away from the touring area. Very few pitches for short stays and we were told to pitch on the hardstandings by the river - pretty views.

Toilets/showers a minute's walk from your pitch. 2 showers and 2 loos per sex. Considering the site is based on a farm the showers were immaculate, smelt of fresh white paint and not a cobweb in sight! Nice spacious cubicles for both showers and toilets. Showers are 50p coin meter but water plentiful, you can adjust the temperature (rare these days) and the pressure was excellent. Seating bench in spacious shower room, plenty of room for hanging clothes and getting dressed.

There was a laundry room & information room but we didn't use this.

The best thing about the site was how dog friendly it was. The owners have securely fenced over just over a mile of flat dog walk around their fields, with poop scoops provided, our German Shepherd gave it her stamp of approval!

We will definitely return - just our sort of site, peaceful (no road noise whatsoever), well kept site.

Excellent site, showers and toilets spotless. Local produce sold on site.

The on-site Library and information room was extremely useful.

Sue and Graham (the owners)very helpful.

Fishing in lakes excellent, river fishing during the time we stayed non existent due to excessive duckweed.

If we lived nearer we would use this site most weekends, but we plan to definitely go back some time in the near future.

This site is very peaceful and relaxing in a beautiful spot along the riverside.

The showers and toilets are spotless at all times.

There is a small library with DVDs to use. Alongside these there was a selection of homemade jam/marmalade and cards to buy which I thought was a lovely touch.

If you have dogs, there are many walks/fields to let them run free in.

The local pub, shop and post office are about a mile walk down a quiet lane.

This site is excellent value for money, a good size pitch with EHU and spotless facilities for £16 peak season, I would highly recommend.

Its hard to write something different than the other comments. The site is perfect. I agree with the first review don't tell anyone, my pitch was placed at the joining of two rivers hard standing water and waste.
(Free Fishing) there are two lakes on site one in an apple orchard, Roach to two pounds, crucians, carp, tench, bliss the site is spotless, showers toilets ultra clean, they even have real hand towels changed daily,
Would I go back? if I lived closer I would be on the seasonal pitches. If your in Somerset do not miss this site (very very peaceful)

I can't believe there are only 2 reviews for this site. But then I am reluctant to share my reviews, as this is a little gem of a site. There are only about 7 pitches for touring caravans. Plenty of static's and seasonal pitches. We were given a spot right on the riverbank and I could've stayed there all week, unfortunately work was calling and had to come home.

There's not a great deal on the site, but its so peaceful and pretty you don't need anything. The shower's and toilets were excellent, very powerful hot showers, costing 50p. We woke up to the sound of woodpeckers, and before going to bed I was lucky enough to see a little otter swimming down the river.

We absolutely loved this site and will most definitely be returning very very soon.

This is an excellent site that really can't be faulted. The owners, Sue & Graham, and Keith the site warden are all very friendly and helpful.

We pitched on one of the hardstandings on the river bank. All pitches are level and are very close to the facilities block which appears to be new. There with two good sized showers with 50p meters and separate toilets and wash basins.

The block also has a good sized laundry (£3 token for washing and 20p's for the tumble dryer) and a good range of tourist info in a well organised library.

There's much birdlife around, the highlights being large numbers of Goldfinch on feeders in the statics, Kingfisher on the river each morning and a Barn Owl hunting over the fields at dusk

The site was so peaceful with great facilities that we decided to go back for a second night and will definitely go back when touring the area next year.

This site is ideal if you are looking for a 'getaway from it all' break. It's so peaceful. At the very end of a quiet lane with no passing traffic. The rivers Cripps and Brue join up on the site, so a great site if you like fishing.

They only take 20 touring units (tents, motorhomes or caravans), but the facilities are second to none, modern and exceptionally clean. Two seperate showers with large changing area (50p meter). Laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and telephone. Another room with a freezer where you can freeze your own icepacks.

The cost is £11 per night including electric hook up. Some pitches have mains water too and hardstanding for caravans. Parking area very close to pitches. Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead.
