Arrived on site owner out but season tourer man welcomed us showed us pitches available the one under the tree was absolutely perfect. We have wide awning and on this occasion scooter on trailer as well, loads of space. Showers and toilets really clean,
View of castle from site, lit up at night, lovely, we could see part of castle from our pitch.
Convenient shop minutes walk away for everyday needs, also can walk into harlech via steep hill, overall lovely site, felt very peaceful even with the sound of the occasional train.

Just back from a lovely week this site the reception was very welcoming, the site is small but well situated for the train station, the beach and harlech centre, though it is quite a steep hill up to the town.
The toilets & showers were clean, there is a laundry room, washing up area & chemical toilet disposable area.
There's no play area if you have small children.
The pub/bistro down the road is a nice place to eat.
There is a shop close by for any groceries you may want.
All in all a lovely site and we will return for another visit

A real gem of a site for approx. 15 units; secluded, quiet, directly under castle rock. Warm, clean toilet/shower block, all hard standings, plus hook-ups.
New owners/managers took over in February 2011, very friendly reception. The only downside is lack of motorhome disposal point; they say will provide at end of this year.
Bus stop & Train station only minutes away, for short trips to Barmouth / Porthmadog etc. Castle Hotel next to station looks dire, so walk further on road, over level crossing to 'Y Branwen' pub / bistro, local real ales, food looks good.(approx 1/4 mile from site).
The road up to town is rather steep from crossing, (the way up directly from site is 1 in 3 or 4, not for the unfit)

Just returned from this little gem of a site tucked right below Harlech castle, a lovely small site situated closed to St Davids Golf course, a short walk to the beautiful Harlech beach and a very steep walk up into Harlech (and when I say up I mean up, Cardiac hill.
We ate in the castle cottage on the Friday as it was our 27th wedding anniversary expensive 5 star the food is great, the service not so, but if I saved up I would probably eat there again for a treat. On the Sunday we ate in the local just down from the site (sorry I cant remember the name) and it was great food was spot on and not pricey and they serve some great real ales staff really friendly.
All in all a lovely weekend great facilities at the site very clean, but a word of caution the site has nothing for kids

Stayed 2 nights. Small sight with some statics behind touring field.(nicely kept)
Helpful wardens
Toilet block very clean (token 50p for showers, I hate that especially when office is closed and you want to take a shower)!
Set in lovely location underneath Harlech castle.
Harlech village quite nice a few shops pubs etc.
Beach close by with some lovely walks.
Good quiet site to stay in that area.

Just got back from a weekend at this site, excellent facilities, owners very friendly and helpful. The pitches are small but we managed and so did my son who also had his awning up. Shops close by long walk up hill to village I called it cardiac hill ! The only thing I would suggest that you take especially if you like sitting out at night with a nice glass of wine , is take some insect repellent or citronella candles because my hubby got bitten by the midges, other than that had a lovely weekend. We will definitely go again, the beach was amazing and even though it was hot the beach was practically empty. Would recommend this site.

Stayed for 2 nights at this wonderful site. Its positioned right under the castle and provides a stunning sight when all lit up at night. The site is for motorhomes and caravans only (no tents) is fairly small with about 15 pitches. All with elec and hardstanding. All pitches looked level. The toilet block was spotless. There is a washer drier etc. The owners very friendly and helpful. There is a general store a couple of minutes walk away and a pub close by. One of the best beaches in north wales is only a 10 min walk away. The town centre can be reached by a short (but vertical) walk. We would highly recommend this site and will be going back.

We had our trial outing camping with awning here and had the misfortune of choosing the windiest weekend of the spring! Was too windy to visit the castle and the awning only managed to stay up an hour before being blown off the van!
The site itself is small, friendly, and given better weather ideal for exploring this part of Snowdonia. The toilet block is the cleanest I have ever seen! We were able to choose whichever pitch we liked which was nice, and although not big pitches, as site is small you don';t feel hemmed in. We hope to be back!

We visited this site over the Mayday bank holiday 2008. We arrived on the Thursday to find a warm welcome. The site is quite small and right under the castle with only a short but very steep walk up into the old town where you can find a bank, spa store, old fashioned sweet shop and one or two nice restaurants, including a good Tandouri Indian. One of the best beaches in europe is 10 minutes walk away.
The site has some of the best and certainly the cleanest toilet and shower facilities Ive come across
In summary, its small site, with quite small pitches ( although there were large caravans and awnings on them with no problems). The couple who run it do it very very well and are very welcoming. As a base for the beach and Snowdonia its hard to beat. I will definitely return.
(One word of warning is to beware the curse of the Sat Nav if approaching from the North. Mine sent me down a B road some 3-4 miles north of Harlech and so I had to drive through the town. If I had then turned right in town as it suggested I would have got the caravan onto the steepest road in Britain and I doubt we would have made it down)

A very nicely kept site, very tidy and excellent views of the castle above the caravan site toilet block is very clean and a key scheme is given to give access when you need them ,stops children running in and out freely , but I found the pitch's a little tight for size by the time i'd got the awning up I couldn't really park the car and the next caravan to us their car was almost touching our caravan because they had a awning up,(and my awning isn't particulary big either)probably it was busy and I thought there seemed to be more caravans pitched than advertised , I suppose it is a nice site but I don't think we will be going back, we do like a bit more space.
