If you want a campsite close to St David's I wouldn't recommend this campsite.
The facilities are clean and very nice.
The overseers of this campsite were rather rude to us and as such we would not recommend this campsite as it did rather tarnish our 2 day stay on a tour of Wales.
It is near a lovely blue lagoon in which you can go swimming.
I states it is near a pub but it is a long walk on narrow country roads so wouldn't recommend walking late at night.
Surrounded on all sides by roads so not ideal for children or dogs.

After telephoning the owner of this site, because we were lost, we arrived to a very warm welcome.
Couldn't get hook up this time as all pitches were full. But what we did get was a fabulous pitch overlooking the bay. It was very exposed though to the hurricane and torrential rain, which developed during the 3rd day of our stay.
The facilities were good with laundrette & wash up. Also a pay phone as there wasn't mobile signal at all. Everything was very clean. Good spot for visiting all the area.
We had to leave on the 4th day as the weather was still very damp,& I was feeling the cold. But all in all a nice site to visit especially in the summer months. Will certainly go back.

Spent a lovely week at this pleasant little site, the quietest site I've stayed at. The wardens were most friendly and that's a bonus after a long journey to be greeted with a friendly smile.
There are lots of lovely coves all in a short radius of site with tenby 30 miles away, well worth a visit. We enjoyed our visit so much were looking to return next year. The weather for the week was gorgeous but be ready for strong winds of the sea.

Small clean site, outwardly friendly staff. It's been described as orderly and I'd agree, did not seem very welcoming.
Definitely not child friendly - no play area, no ball games and no real space to run around and closely monitored (in case your children do start to enjoy themselves!).
Showers clean but dated. 90% of lower field definitely not on a level pitch with some amazing 'chocking' to make units level.
Locally, unless you want beaches you may find the attractions limited.
Very exposed, when we stayed very windy, no one kept their awnings up for long.
Not up to the usual Caravan and Camping Club standard but adequate.

Just got back from a 3 night stay with husband and two 6 year olds. Only our second time camping. Overall, a great campsite but perhaps a little too busy for our liking. We arrived soon after midday and luckily got the last pitch in at the sea edge in field 3. I would recommend arriving early with this in mind.
Views were fantastic all around. Ground quite hard in places so next time would take pegs that we could hammer in. Realised how essential these are when the wind got up on the second day. Then followed 2 sleepless nights due to the strong winds which we had read about in other reviews but had clearly underestimated. The 3rd night was the worst with heavy wind and rain. We had to get up at 2 am to re-peg some of the guy ropes but I guess this would'nt have been a problem if we had had the right pegs in the first place.
Beach was excellent with soft sand and rock pools which the children loved.
We had a meal in the Tavern on the last night as the BBQ got rained out. The setting and food was fantastic and service efficient. Great relaxed atmosphere with kids. Reasonably priced for good food and wine.
Shop very handy for freezing our ice blocks and renting some replacements.
Shower blocks and toilets very clean with lots of hot water. Only criticism was there was only one key card for the family which caused logistical problems at times.
Would visit again but probably on an alternative pitch to avoid the wind. Would recommend.

Just got back from St Davids. It is a very quiet site, the gates are locked at 11pm, and quiet time is carefully observed. The showers & toilet facilities were spotless, if a bit old. The people running the site are very welcoming, and can't do enough for you. There is a shop of sorts on site but just the very barest essentials. The pitches are sloping, some more than others, but we were in the corner of the bottom field and our corner steadies were fine with no additional height needed.
The area is lovely, but we were very lucky with the weather, and the trip up to Snowdonia, although a long one, is worth it. The views along the coast at cardigan bay are fantastic.
We took our 14 year old son and he was bored bored bored. The TV reception was non-existant, and the only radio programmes we could get were Irish, but RTE2 is worth listening to! And the mobile phone reception is very spasmodic.
Would we go back? Probably not, because we tend not to go to the same place twice, but I would recommend the site for those looking for peace & quiet. The approach roads are single track,so if you meet another caravan coming the other way it can get quite interesting!

The views are nice and the toilet blocks are fine. There are laundry facilities, quite expensive.
Actually other than this, we really had a negative experience.
First of all it is not at all in St. David's: the fact that's in Brea (few houses in the middle of nowhere) is nowhere but in the name of the campsite, and if you are not a local, like us, you just think it's a Welsh word or something.
It takes 10 minutes of driving in tiny roads in the countryside before getting there. That was quite disappointing.
It was the bank holiday weekend so that might be why it was crowded and very noisy until late at night.
The pitches are not well levelled.
Last but not least, we paid 22 pounds to sleep in that place. Which made it all even less worth it.

We should of stayed on this site for 2 weeks, but only managed 10 days, which was more than enough.
The toilets were clean and adequate, the showers though clean, are very small, the whole block is very dated. Could do with a re-vamp
A shed is the reception area, and very small basic shop.
Laundry facilities, dated and expensive
The site is very sloping, and chocks are most definitely required on this site. We were at the bottom of the site by the shower/toilet block, and when it rained the water ran down the site, making our pitches very soggy and slippery underfoot. Would not take too much to level a couple of pitches a year.
We found the site very over-priced for what it offers. There is no freeview/TV signal, only Irish radio, or phone signal, which could be a bonus. Basically its one step up from a Certified site.
Huge deep pothole at the entrance of the site, we got a puncture. Was never filled or attempted to be filled whilst we were there
The site is down very tiny bendy country lanes, one unit arrived an hour early and was sent away.
We were asked by the wardens to take our windbreak down as it was encroaching onto our neighbours pitch by 1'.
Children were told not play any games, if they came out of their unit with a ball the wardens would be there in a flash.
There are a lot of niggles/negatives about this site, that mounted up over our stay.
There is a bus stop by the site entrance.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful, and we went to Porthgain where we found the most amazing pub with food, called The Sloop Inn.
The beaches, which are all quite a drive away, worth it as they are so beautiful.
The real downside however to this site, which is very unusual for the Camping and Caravan Club, is the wardens.

We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2008. We had booked a hardstanding. On arrival we were shown to our pitch which was on the camping field, it had lovely views but was as far away from the facilities as you can get. We were told to park our van on the left of the pitch so as to maintain 6 metres between caravans, fair enough I thought until I tried to erect the awning. I have a good selection of pegs including a new set of screw pegs and a big electric drill to wind them in. But this hardstanding defeated them all, not a chance of getting them in, so after an hour of cursing we admitted defeat and packed it all away again. Now I know that by definition hardstandings are hard, but come on. These bases were donkeys years old and not even a thermo nuclear weapon would penetrate them. Get a grip someone, get them sorted.
Other than that its a nice site, although it is VERY quiet and a little too out in the sticks for our liking. TV reception is great if your into irish channels and as for phone reception forget it.
St davids is a nice place but is geared almost 100% towards tourism, we only found one shop where you can buy your supplies. The views along the coast are great although care must be taken when travelling because many of the roads are very narrow and twisty.
Handy tip,. If travelling from the north avoid going though Fishguard like the plague its aweful and I heard stories of tow cars suffering burnt out clutches although we managed to get through unscathed.
All in all, nice views, site could be better, get those pitches sorted, we pay extra for a hardstanding and expect to be able to use it.

Spent a very relaxing week at this site. A small site (40 pitches) which meant that on a bank holiday weekend it got a little noisy with lots of children. Wardens were very helpful and accommodating. Block was not very big (2 showers) but didn't seem to cause any problems with waiting for the shower. Very little to do in the area, so everything was a drive away. The closest beach was not very big but White sands Beach is a little over 20 minutes drive away and is more than large enough to handle a busy bank holiday weekend. Would go back to this site!
