August 2003 This is a lovely site, in a beautiful location with fabulous views and the river flowing right along side it.
The owners Dot & Bob were great, they made us feel welcome and were really helpful and friendly. The facilities are good and the shower/toilet block is kept clean.
We had a fantastic weekend camping at Eirianfa, and can't wait to return for the August Bank holiday.
We would definitely recommend this site to anyone visiting the Llangollen area.

Lovely site with easy access to the riverbank - just one mile into Llangollen if you fancy a walk. Bob and Dot are very friendly and will always suggest an outing locally if you are stuck for something to do.
Ideal place if you have children were they can play safely and enjoy swimming in the river - great ropeswing. The toilet facilities are cleaned regularly - and there is also the added bonus of a washing room with drying facilities.
Open all year round - the site is well maintained with a very pretty orchard lit at night with fairy lights. Ideal for having a barbecue, finishing off the night with a firelog and a hot toddy!
Most people who visit, seem to return. We have been made to feel very welcome and will definitely be visiting again - frequently! I would just finish by thanking Gillian for her help in the shop on our last day. Thanks Gillian and Matthew.

I visited Eirianfa from overseas and had intended staying only a couple of nights but ended up staying a week. The owners, Bob & Dot were extremely helpful in directing me to some great tourist attractions in the area. I felt like part of the family by the time I left. The site was beautifully maintained and everyone worked hard to keep the toilet block spick and span. There were a few signs around the place which were off putting, but I could see why they were needed. Bob had to evict a couple during the night for bad behaviour. It seems Bob & Dot never have a minute to themselves. The fees for camping were fare given the facilities and the site was in a lovely spot, walking distance from town. All in all, a GREAT week. NICE PEOPLE. I'll remember it for ever.

August 2003 Great site, good facilities. Clean washrooms and showers. Bob and Dot lovely people, very helpful. This was my young families first camping trip, we enjoyed every minute of it. (Be warned tho, there are very loud owls hunting at 3:30 in the morning. Once they got their dinner tho it was all quiet again!!) Brilliant, cant wait to go back.

August 1999 We stayed on this site during August 1999 and found it to be a pleasant site. It was obvious they had had trouble in the past due to the many notices around the place. This did appear a bit unfriendly but we didn’t have to run the site. Will return one day.

January 2003 This site is situated in a lovely area, with many walks around and within walking distance of Llangollen. That, however, is the only positive comment I can make about it. The toiletblock was in an appalling state at the time of our visit. The shower, for which there is a charge, was dirty, so we decided to use the shower in our motorhome. The soap provided at the wash-basins looked as though it had been there for years, it was downright filthy and the bin inside the toiletblock was overflowing. As it was January and only 3 outfits on site, one can only guess at when the bin was last emptied. And all this came at an extortionate price: £12.00 per night, and that didn't include elctricity, that was an extra £2.00!! As we had booked with friends and were only staying 2 nights, we decided to stay, but certainly won't be making a return visit! There are also some really aggressive 'notices' posted on the toiletblock, saying (amongst other things) that washing of cars is not allowed, and anyone caught doing so will be 'assisted' by having their car towed down to the river and having it washed there! As for visitors, they have to pay £1.00 per person, are only allowed between 12 noon and 6pm, 'any longer and a full day charge will be made'. As they say, nice area, shame about the site.
