Lovely site! Quite a few vans permanently pitched but large camping field behind these with its own toilet / shower block. Jeff the warden is very helpful and ensures the toilets are always clean. We stayed Saturday - Tuesday and the site does get busy over the weekend but it wasn't too packed. The site has a sister site down the road with a shop and pub which I must admit we didn't try as DH had a broken toe and couldn't walk very far! This site is ideal as a base for exploring the Lake district and we will visit again.
