Pitched near toilet bock which were very clean until 8.00 pm. 50 yards walk to main entertainment resident band and cabaret act very good . Pool slides shutes and water spouts ideal for kids indoor softplay area swings slides and climbing frames outside kids loved all these and they are free. There is an indoor amusements area which has a choice fron 2p to £1 slot machines. Most of the children's machines gave out tickets can be saved to purchase a free gift so take plenty of money. Filey is only about 7 miles away and has a lovely beach and a few pubs shops and amusements. Scarborough town centre offers a lot more but traffic can be very busy you would be better catching bus opposite caravan park. We all loved this holiday and would go back again

This site although in a very attractive area is ordinary no frills at a no frills price a pitch comes with resident seagulls.
Beware if put up an awning you will bend even rock pegs because the ground is like concrete,
shower blocks are plain but always clean, you are close to everything going local
The area is outstanding and well worth a visit
If you want a clean well looked after site with very reasonable fees then give this one a go

Just returned from a long weekend at Cayton Bay Holiday Park. Very impressive site, clean and well maintained. Stayed in a 'silver' static 3 bedroom caravan which was very modern with basic provisions. Shop stocked variety of foods etc. Slightly overpriced but we expect that on a caravan site. Entertainment was good with bingo each night and a variety of gaming machines etc in the amusement area. Only one complaint to be made-on our second day the drain blocked which resulted in toilet not flushing and a flood in the kitchen from the sink. Reported to site and fixed but external drain remained blocked resulting in a pool of offensive sewage / waste outside our caravan. This marred an otherwise enjoyable stay. Would consider paying a return visit.

Just returned from a week at the Cayton Village Holiday Park and thought we should let everyone know what a great site it is. We booked via this website using the contact button and communication was great from the start. We requested 2 pitches together, which they said they could not guarantee but would process the bookings together on receipt of deposit and do their best. They kept their word and when we arrived were allocated pitches 006 and 007 just round the corner from the reception in a lovely grassy area opposite some of the supersites.
The pitches were of a good size, we have a large tent but had plenty of space between ours and our friend’s trailer tent and our car was parked along side the pitch too. Staff were very friendly and helpful every time we had any contact either at the reception or with the staff walking around the site. The site itself although quite busy always felt quiet and there was never any rowdiness at any time of the day or night. Although on the Saturday before we left, we walked round the tent field and it had got very busy and we did ask a newly arrived neighbour to turn his TV down at 11.30 PM.
Toilet blocks were clean and in good order and never over busy, only once in the week did I have to wait for a cubicle. Although I believe the ladies were a tad busier.
The shop was a little disappointing did not stock much, no eggs? And no skimmed milk, but there is a shop in the village and Morrison’s is only 10 minutes away. In the village there are two pubs, although we only used the Blacksmiths Arms which was very good, staff were friendly, food was great and we were treated like locals. There is also a Chinese and a chippy though we did not use either.
The kids loved the play area and the dog enjoyed running round the dog field.
The site is ideally located for the attractions, Cayton beach is superb but it’s a heck of a climb back up! We did Scarborough, Filey, Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. The Peasholm Park Naval Battle is a bit of a rip off at just under a tenner for 2 adults and 2 kids. Yorkshires beaches are lovely these days (Scarborough south shore excepted)!
Overall we had a fantastic week on a lovely, clean and friendly site and would recommend it to all. We will definitely be back.

Just returned from our first camping trip on this site. Stayed on the Touring fields, which offers loads more room than the main area where tents and caravans are packed in really close. There was a little 'offshoot' to the right of the main field where we pitched which was a little quieter than the main large field.
Showers OK. Did the job, but there are queues at 'peak times'
Charged £1 for family bathroom which was a bit of a shock! You also have to book a slot for this, and only allowed 45 minutes. We managed to bath the kids and ourselves in this time, just, and it was difficult as the room is very small!
Onsite shop slightly expensive (as expected) but there's a decent shop in the village 5 mins walk away. Turn right at gate, walk into village and turn left when you reach junction.
Went to 2 pubs in Cayton. The Star is the grubbiest pub I've ever been to. It needs a very very decent clean outside. Wouldn't go back. The other pub (which I've forgotten name of!) was much better and cleaner. Both welcome kids.
The best local pub we found was the 'Tow Bar' opposite Cayton Bay holiday camp. Friendly, good food and a play area for kids outside, which my little lad (3) loved. Food was reasonably priced as well. Didn't eat, but food looked Ok and was very busy in the evenings.
Turn left at main gate for 'Tow Bar' and right for other 2 pubs and shops.
Cayton bay a good 20 min walk with kids. 10 without!
Bus stops outside main entrance and timetables available on reception. Regular service to Brid, Filey and Scarborough.
