Spent 6 nights here. Camp site was peaceful, there is a kids playground next to the caravan area. Lots of stones etc. Under the grass which caused some choice words when we first arrived, but once up I was quite impressed with the site. The toilets/showers were clean and tidy (usually cleaned at least once a day if not more so), staff were very helpful and friendly. We were on the main site not too far from the toilets (having 3 young kids it was the best place for us) but there is another section for tents which is set up so that you can have open fires if you wish. Site shop was okay for the basics (wine and beer in a chiller). Was not open all day however had an intercom on the door and if you called someone came down to open up for you. I would visit again.

Visited for the weekend. Toilets were clean and well looked after. Soap was provided and a free hairdryer was also on hand in the ladies.
We booked our pitch but no pitches are marked and it meant the hook up was too far away for our cable but staff loaned us an extension which solved the problem. Midgies weren't really a problem whilst we were there but it may have been as we had a dry spell?
Shop a bit on the pricey side but at a push would be ok for essentials. Visited the resident tamworth pigs which were friendly. Active recycling was in progress. Tins, glass, paper into seperate bins.
Although you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere on the site the road which runs paralle is surprisingly busy even at night. Then of course you have the clever drivers who think it very amusing to blast their horn continuously whilst passing the site.
Would use again.

July 2005 Just been there for 5 days a lot of seasonal touring pitches and some of them think they own the site and some are more friendly than others. Showers very dangerous water very very hot. Toilet block in need of Renovation. The best thing about the site would be the shop There is a 4 stars sign on the wooden shop but it must be for the shop Been there done it got the yellow tee shirt

August 2004 This site is okay as a stop over site, not much to do but relax. Was pleased to leave after two days, not because of the site but because we were bitten alive by midges. Had to return straight home to clean the caravan, and the awning was covered. They were that small they came in through the mesh covering the skylights.
