Had a great stay for one night at this campsite. The owner is very friendly and obviously takes great pride in his campsite as it is immaculate. The toilets are pristine and the camping field is very well mown. The hard standings are great for a motorhome with plenty of room. The location is superb for walking being a few hundred yards from the canal. I turned left and walked to Colemere which you can walk around and is great for the dog to have a good swim. All this for £11. 50 per night, brilliant.

Just spent 5 nights at Hampton Bank Farm and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The pitches are quite generous once you have manoeuvred your caravan onto the level hardstanding strip the rest of your pitch being grass.
Nice welcome from the owners and shown where all the facilities were.
The views from our pitch were excellent.
The toilet/shower facilities were spotless and the whole site was in excellent condition. Recycling is encouraged.
Visited nearby Ellesmere also Oswestry and Shrewsbury are fairly close by.
Walks are close by the easiest being along the canal which is only a few hundred metres
From the site. The area also seems very popular with cyclists as well as walkers.
There are no shops as such in the village but Ellesmere has a Tesco supermarket as well as local stores.
The only slight downside to the site in our opinion is that there is some road noise from the B5603 but we didn't find it too intrusive, especially at night which was good ensuring a good nights sleep. Would we visit again the answer is a definite yes.

Have just returned from a long weekend at this site, what can I say excellent, the site is immaculate and so quiet.
The toilets are kept clean but the only criticism is the note regarding not to use the toilet paper to wipe your hands but no towels or drier supplied.
The canal is about 3 mins away and is great to be able to walk the dog.
Most people we talked to were regulars who kept coming back, would recommend this site and would certainly go back

Lovely Site, well kept, spacious, very very quiet. Nice views over the fields. All pitches are hard standing.
Toilets & showers were very clean. There are only two showers, one male & one female.
Owners were very friendly and helpful.
Ellesmere is a short drive away, approx 4 miles. Or you could walk there along the canal which is just along the road from the site entrance.
It is adults only, hence the peace and quiet! We will definitely be returning at the end of July.
£11 a night is an absolute bargain.

Spent three days on this excellent site. All pitches are hard standing, with oceans of space between each pitch. Showers and toilets are fine and the site is immaculate. The site runs close to the Shropshire union canal and walks along the towpath to Wixhall Moss are a delight. The owners are most pleasant and helpful. Just a short drive to Ellesmere which provides plenty of shops restaurants and take-aways, there is also a Tesco supermarket. All in all a great adults only site with good easy access and great views.

We visited for one night in October in our motorhome, we found the site very well kept and a credit to its owner. There are about 20 small concrete hard standings, we were unable to get all four wheels on but we managed fine. There are electric hook ups an elsan point, fresh water and a very clean toilet block with shower. The only slight problem I could see for motorhomers was that the water tap could be a little difficult to get to.
Ellesmere is a short drive away but a walk along the canal to Coldmere is a must.
Its an adults only site and no awnings, but dogs are welcome. If your looking for a nice quiet weekend away with some nice walks then this is the place, the canal is very picturesque and well worth a look.

Stayed for 2 nights(weekend), lovely clean site. Showers and toilet block spotless and owner constantly tidying up around the site. 20 pitches all hard standing and electric hook up. Approx 100 yards from Canal with a lovely walk for the dogs, of which we have 3. Close to Ellesmere, with plenty shops, pubs etc. It seems that the visitors that were on site have been there before and loved it so much they keep going back. We shall definitely have other visits here in this 'get away from it all peaceful' site. No children or awnings allowed, showers 30p and day visitors £1. Well done for a lovely well kept site.

Site is flat with individual pitches all with electric hook ups. Views over surrounding countryside. Neither children nor awnings allowed. Edward the owner is very friendly, in constant attendance and seems to get on well with everybody.
