Have stayed on this site twice now and have mixed feelings about it. It is ideally situated near Laugharne, it is a lovely walk down into the village through the back lanes and past the graveyard where Dylan and Caitlin Thomas are buried.
A lovely fish & chip shop in the square, also a restaurant that makes the most delicious blackcurrant tart, I took some back with me to the caravan. There's a lovely gift shop a short walk up the hill from the square.
The shower block was always clean with plenty of hot water. Most of the site is for static caravans on one side and seasonals on the other with a smallish field on a slope for tourers. There is a large separate field for kids to play in but each time we have been there they seem to be kicking balls around in the touring field.
It was quite noisy at night, people were talking really loudly outside and also singing well after midnight.
The owner was very friendly and the Sunday lunch we had from the club house was lovely. I would go there again as I like the location.

Have just come back from our first ever camping trip in our trailer tent.
The site was fantastic, facilities look new with large showers, ample hot water, washing machine, tumble dryer. The club house is lovely and the food is good with large portions at good prices eg £2.50 kids meal. Entertainment was a singer who was good. The best bit however was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the swimming pool which was really clean and warm. The only draw back was some noisy campers on the Friday up till 1.30am but it did not ruin our stay.

Disappointed with this site. We booked having checked out previous reviews which we thought was just what we wanted. We arrived on the Saturday of a Bank Holiday weekend and the site was busy. Having booked some 6 months previously we were told we had the last electric pitch and were asked to pitch our tent on a steep slope, which we were not happy with but managed to persuade the person checking us in that we could pitch it at the top of the slope.
There was entertainment on in the club on Saturday and Sunday evening but nothing the rest of the week. The following week the club/bar failed to even open until the Saturday evening. Bingo was advertised but never took place. There was no children's club, just a small park. The pool was the biggest disappointment as we had gorgeous weather but the pool was under maintenance and had no water in it and we were not informed about this. We booked this site purposely knowing that there would be a pool for the children.
The toilet facilities were excellent though and the owner was friendly.

We have just returned from a weekend at Ants Hill, it was our first visit and hopefully wont be our last. The site is well maintained and the facilities immaculate. The site clubhouse although not normally our scene, was very friendly and welcoming and not too boisterous.
The pool was out of commission due to frost damage and is currently under repair and is due to be opened next week. This was a real shame as it was the main attraction for us when initially booking. It did not spoil our weekend though as we drove to Pendine sands which is a lovely expanse of coastline about 4 miles away. Would def recommend!

This is the only site we could find a space on but it is one of the best sites we have visited.
The pitches are very spacious and the site is sheltered and slightly sloping at one end.
The clubhouse is good and not at all rowdy. It does reasonable bar meals and there is cabaret every Wednesday.
The toilets and showers look new. The toilets are in one room and the showers in another. There are 4 showers for men and 4 for women. The showers are nicely laid out with hooks for clothes and a stool. The showers are pre-set and press button but the temperature is just right and there is no charge for hot water.
There is a good indoor room for dish washing again with free hot water.
There is a small but adequate play ground and a childrens club every day for 2 pounds ( an absolute god send as it poured with rain the week we visited ). There is also a heated outdoor pool in a very pleasant walled garden.
A fantastic site close to Pendine sands and Laugharne. Well worth a visit.

July 2005 Very nice site, manager Jeff very friendly. Very relaxed atmousphere with a good clubhouse and shows. Outdoor pool is small but nice in warm weather (it's heated) shower block a bit dated and needs upgrading which is supposed to by going ahead this year. Reasonable rates, very clean site with lovely scenery. Village very close by (5-10 min walk) with the castle and Dylan Thomas' boat house a short walk. Pendine is about 10 min drive. In all a very nice site and friendly location. 3rd time we have been returning in Sept.
