As owners of the campsite we would just like to say that we are aware of the problem with the toilet blocks. We have only owned the site for 2 years and have inherited numerous problems which take time and money to rectify. We are working towards improving the situation for the coming season. We would ask any camper with comments, problems or suggestions to please mention it to us during their stay as this helps us to improve our facilities and the quality of your stay with us. The site is only classified as a two star campsite and our prices have been adjusted accordingly for the 2007 season. We would like to thank all our customers for submitting reviews which we find extremely helpful.

We stayed at this site for our first visit to France and I agree with the review by Geordie01. Its nice and rural and its position is very central so if you want to have a base for exploring Brittany it is in a great location. It was extremely quiet when we were there and we had a complete terrace to ourselves for the whole 8 days. In fact I don't think there were more than 8-10 pitches used the entire time we were there. However the down side by a country mile was the toilet and shower blocks. Bird poo everywhere. We all refused to use the shower and instead would take a trip to the local swimming pool instead. The blocks need to be knocked down and rebuilt with some up to date facilities. It was a shame because the site has so much potential. The owners were very helpful and polite and hopefully given some time will be able to modernise it. We aren't seasoned campers and may be this is the general standard of facilities in France but we would not go back if it is.

What a wonderful welcome! A really friendly site and so helpful in the middle of Brittany. We are seasoned travellers of France for the last 30 years mainly in caravan. This is a really friendly cooperative site for the first time visitor and seasoned traveller. There is so much to offer - meals on site, a social bar, walks within the site, a pool. A lake. Clean toilets and shower facilities. Tranquillity, socialising, and independence! What more can you ask? We have visited a number of sites in France and have experience of running one in the uk - this is a must for first time visitors and for the more experienced visitor to relax and enjoy a good holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend as a first class site.

Having seen this site on the website we decided to use it as a stopover for two nights on our way back from Southern Brittany to normandy and the ferry after three weeks touring. On arrival we found the site no problem well signposted and good directions in brochure.
The owners are really friendly and the site at the time we were there was really quite deserted we had a whole terrace to ourselves. After setting up me and my wee girl had a walk around loads of wildlife to be seen if you looked and a small fishing lake with huge dragon flies.
The town is a nice 15 to 20 min walk with a good market on a Tuesday. In the evening the bar is good but it is very english orientated we did not see one local french person but that is what some people enjoy The food that was served although we did not try it looked nice. The pool area was good and clean and we all tried it we had it all to ourselves
When we were there the shower and loo blocks had birds nesting in the roofs and their droppings were on the floor and counter tops they probably got in due to the fact that there were no main doors to the blocks that could be closed and the holes in the roof , although it had been netted off. There were signs apologizing for this. To be honest it did not put me off I am used to wild camping out of a sea kayak in the outer hebrides but it did my partner and daughter who really did not want to go there. We were there for 3days and two nights and the waste bins in the loos were not emptied.
We thought we might have been picky but my partner spoke top another camper with children and they had the same feelings.
To sum up a nice site run by friendly people but they need to sort out the wc blocks that are letting them down

August 2005 Bonjour, We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay at Fleur De Bretagne although most of it was clouded due to vast amounts of "cidre",kronenbourg and red beer in the excellant bar. We were made to feel at home the minute we arrived and felt we knew Sarah,Jenny,Dave and the family for ages before hand. If you need any towels washing just leave them on a windbreak and "The secret midnight towel thief" (aka George the retreiver) will take them back to the bar for mummy to wash. The site was lovely with loads of wildlife including woodpeckers, owls and kites to view in the superb country setting. The toilet blocks were v.clean and the pool was really clean and refreshing!!
Hello to George and Oscar (The camp dogs)the camps answer to Laurel and Hardy See you again, Andy and Annette

June 2005 After reading the couple of favourable reviews we booked for a short stay at this site and were very impressed – it’s a definite recommendation from us. The site is very well maintained, beautifully located and has good, clean facilities – those showers are great!
Run by an English family group who are fun, friendly and delightful to talk to while you sup a beer or two in the bar or on the terrace, and another reviewer was right – that coffee is spot on!
The local town, Rostrenen just down the road is a great place with some good bars, shops and eating places and the market is also well worth a visit.
Given the quality of this site, its location, and the friendliness of all involved there, it has to be a perfect base for exploring Brittany – we’re going to stay there again on our next visit for sure.

May 2005 Having found this site on the UKCampsite.co.uk website we determined to make a visit on our tour of Northern France and how glad we are that we did. First of all we had a little difficulty in locating the site but a quick call to the owners and we were there. It is beautifully situated in a wonderful and lush rural setting and only about a kilometre walk to the town which has plenty to offer the casual tourist. The site itself has swimming pool, clubhouse, good food, variety of beverages and most of all, friendly and accommodating hosts, (thank you so much for the help with the gas). Toilets and shower blocks are old but well maintained and there is even a fishing lake for those that may enjoy it. We will certainly go back whenever we happen to be in the area.

April 2005 What a find. Run by an English family. Visited early April with husband and son and was the sites first campers. Super site, beautiful location, excellent facilities - shower temperature just right! swimming pool in lovely setting (onviously too cold in April to test!).
A bar that serves excellent coffee - and Earl Gray for those UK moments, provides a good range of snacks, meals and booze. (Son said to mention the pool table) And best all run by really friendly and helpful people, who welcomed Roscoff crossing weary travellers with cup of coffe and a laugh. Thoroughly recommended for a Brittany based holiday with lots of things to do within driving distance.
