Decided to go on the basis of Den4278's review.
Couldn't have been more disappointed.
The toilet/shower block was not clean and is as basic as they come.
The playground/crazy golf for the kids is a joke.
The waste disposal area was a filthy mess.
Luckily the other campers were a friendly bunch and that helped.
Will we be back? - No
Would I recommend it to others? - No

I stayed in site this weekend and may I say it has changed a lot it seems from the other reviewers visits. It now has a new warden who runs a tight ship. The location of the park is perfect as Newcastle is only a 5 min walk away and if you drive you have Downpatrick in one direction and Newry in the other, both around 45 mins away and both great shopping towns. You also have Tesco near buy and also two petrol stations which do a carvery dinner near by ( I would recommend the mourne view garage )
The park has got a children's play ground and crazy golf course and a small games room with machines and a pool table. Toilet blocks are well kept and there is a 5 pound charge for key which is refundable at the end of your stay. The pitches have all electric and water and are on grass. The people in statics are all very friendly as is the warden and his wife the gates are locked at 11.00pm but you can access park on foot if needs be and gates reopen at 8.00am. I will stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. The staff and residents are all great and always willing to help. And its 0nly 14.50 a night.

This site is 98% static vans with tourers/ motor homes parked on grass, but the warden offered us a hardstanding base that a static had come off.
The games room/ reception is showing signs of age. To be honest this site could be good if some work was put in but is shown as a 2* site but not in my eyes.
Newcastle is about a mile away,a seaside town with access to the Mourne Mountains.
There are more sites in the area & I'll be using 1 the next time.

Stayed here in June 07 for a long weekend. It was Ok. The pitches were very very tight with a lot of tight turns, it created a lot of problems when towing in. The toilets were new and clean. Its about 1 mile into Newcastle town, when we visited there was a lot of building work going on. All in all its an adequate park, but I wouldnt travel to it again.
