Just came back from a 2 night stay here and we didn't want to leave! 2 adults and 3 kids only cost £16 a night because it's a little bit in the sticks but it's still only 10 minutes from Padstow and 20 minutes from Newquay. We wanted something quiet and peaceful, this site didn't let us down. We were hoping to get into Dennis Cove but they were full and Dennis Farm was closed but they recommended Music Water and we weren't disappointed.

The staff were all very friendly, we asked for a level and sheltered pitch and got a perfect spot in the bottom field. The toilet block is basic but clean plus there's laundry facilities, a dishwashing area and the kids (9,11 and 13) loved the table tennis, £1.50 to hire the bats and a ball with £1.00 back if you bring the ball back unsquashed! The small bar that opens in the evening is a great way to get to know some of your fellow campers and is very reasonably priced (£2.50 a pint) too plus Norman is a great source of local knowledge and entertainment!

We found 2 cracking beaches, Constantine Bay has the best rockpooling we've ever seen with lots of fish, sea slugs and starfish along with the usual crabs and shrimps in the sandy bottomed pools accessible for most of the tide. The other was Mawgan Porth, a huge, flat beach with lots of safe swimming amongst the waves with rocks and caves to each side of the fine sand. Both are less than 10 minutes from Music Water.

On our departure day we asked to stay until 6pm which was agreed at no extra cost so a big thank you to Norman and the team for making our short stay so enjoyable and relaxing - we'll be back later this year!

I phoned to book this site only about 3 weeks prior to going. They took my name and number, but didn't want a deposit.

On arrival they were very friendly and walked you over to your pitch (we had an electric pitch), most pitches were very slightly sloping. We had friends with us, who were non electric, but as they were quiet (even though it was half term) they gave them a pitch next to us in the electric area.

The site has a very small bar, with a pool table, we did visit one night, and prices were very reasonable. Definitely no worries about rowdiness here!

There is also a small park, ideal for younger ones, and a small outdoor pool (which unfortunately wasn't open, due to it not being cleaned yet this year, unfortunately we were not told this on the phone), there is also a small games room, with a couple of pool tables, and a couple of machines. There is also a small area with chickens, rabbits and donkeys, you could buy food and feed them.

There are 2 toilet / shower blocks, we only used one. This had 2 showers, which had hot water between 7am and midday then again from 4pm - 9pm. The showers were quite powerful and a good temperature, there is also a small bench and hook in your shower room around the corner from the shower, which is very handy. The toilet blocks are not modern, but they were clean and did their job!

The site was very peaceful, not really any traffic noise. There was some slight noise from the nearby windmills, but only when they were facing a certain direction!

There is no shop on site, there is a garage / shop about 3 miles away or the Tesco at Padstow is about 4 miles.

This site is quite conveniently situated for visiting Padstow, Wadebridge and Newquay.(Very close to the A39 and not too far from the A30)

I did like this site, but had I known the pool was closed I would have probably chosen somewhere else for this particular trip.

I have just returned from the camp site and can honestly say that it is one of the best ones I have stayed in having camped half of Great Britain,
the facilities were kept in the best conditions and all the staff were extremely helpful and made the stay even better, so much so I will be returning next year with my complete clan of two children and four dogs!
I would recommend this to anyone.

I have stayed several times at Music Water and have found every visit to be thoroughly enjoyable. The family atmosphere is lovely and everyone always appears to be having a great time. Staff are approachable and friendly. Facilities on site are always clean and maintained constantly. The setting is perfect for a break away - Padstow one direction and Newquay the other, with plenty of beautiful views and places to visit between. Highly recommended to all!

This was my first time camping and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The chickens and donkeys proved a great hit with my children for 20p you can buy a bag of corn and go into the chicken coup to feed them. I suggest taking a collection of 50p pieces as the games in the games room needs them. The toilets and showers were clean and fresh as was the site itself. It was, in all, a wonderful weekend away.

We were a bit concerned before we arrived as we don't normally like to stay on a site with a bar or a swimming pool and this one has both. The owners said that the bar was always quiet.luckily they were being honest. We stayed for 8 nights and didn't once hear any noise from the bar. Good for the little ones as they can feed the chickens and the two donkeys. All in all, a good site and we will go back.
For anyone who hasn't visited the area before, you must go. Padstow and the surrounding area has to be the best location in the uk!

Very good value site - good hot showers, toilets not bad. Small 3ft deep pool which the kids enjoyed. Owners very friendly and helpful.
