Have stayed at this site on a few occasions in a static and a tourer. The tourer site is small and there is not much room between vans. We have always found everyone friendly and I feel safe letting my children (who made friends very quickly) go to the park on their bikes and around the site. They love it here.
The club is not to everyone's taste but we only ever go if its raining and you cant have BBQ.Again kids enjoy this too.
The pool is good but could do with a bit of a lick of paint and a spring clean. We were lucky enough last year to be able to use the outdoor pool on the Sunnysands site, next to Greenacres (same owners). This was really great. Always a life guard present at all times.
The site is quiet due to mainly being occupied by statics. The upside of this is that it is well maintained and clean and safe.
The Haven site next door is there if you want non stop entertainment.
Good location site shop chippy and Crown Carvery down the road.
We love this site and are hoping eventually to put our tourer there for the season (long waiting list).

Stayed here for a couple of weekends - first time was ad-hoc, second time was planned.
The site is family ran and all the staff are friendly. The touring pitches are raised, concrete hardstandings and first visit the site handyman walked me to our pitch, guided me on and helped me position the van. Appreciated.
Once your van is in position and car is parked, you've not got too much space left for an awning - not an issue for us yet.
This is mainly a site for statics, but the touring area is friendly and everyone lets on and keeps an eye on the kids as they make friends and potter around.
The toilet blocks are clean and basic. The showers could do with some plastic matting on the floor as they get very wet. You pay a £5 deposit for the key - the gents seems to be left open and the key is needed for the ladies - which makes sense.
There are a couple of nice play areas for the kids including a decent sized field dead-centre of the site. The swimming pools is excellent and has a nice large outside terrace area which will be lovely when the sun comes out.
The Beachcomber pub is traditional and has plenty of locals and friendly security. There is a rear room with a small wacky-warehouse area - £1 per kid; a small restaurant serving basic pub fare - the prices are ok and the meals are fine but the curry had no curry in it and the ribs though tasty had been microwaved to warm them up and had cold spots.
The kids entertainment at the weekends is superb and of a very high standard - don't miss Stuffets Puppets if they are on - very professional and entertaining for kids and adults alike. The drinks are well-priced.
The shop at the site sells everything and the prices are fine too. The cafe just past the Beachcomber is superb and their breakfast, jackets and paninis are worth a visit. Not cheap, but good quality.
Nearby you've got the Nova Centre which was worth a wet morning visit - but the Sun Centre at Rhyl knocks it into a cocked hat.
It's a short walk to a nice beach (past the Haven site).
Although the touring pitches are right next to the rail line, you can barely hear them go by. Not an issue at all I'm glad to say.
In summary, old-fashioned, friendly, a bit twee, but we liked it and we'd go back.

Very old site in need of updating. Vans cramped in like sardines, no room from one to the other.
Mainly statics.
Pub on site is awful, very old and out dated. Musty smell on arrival and if you are not a local or regular then you feel uncomfortable.
Never ventured into the shower or W/C block used my motorhome instead (based on what we had already seen of other facilities)
Would not return.

Just returned from last minute weekend break at Greenacres with my husband and 2 year old daughter.
All hardstanding pitches with electric hook ups and plenty of room for awnings etc.
Toilets / shower block basic but clean, you pay a £5 deposit on arrival for a key to the block so you don't pay for the showers when you use them and there is no time limit on them.
Beachcomber pub which is just outside the gates is family friendly and has a small indoor play area for kids which is a £1 for an hour. There are also 2 shops and a chippy.
The site is mainly for static caravans but has a good sized touring area, all facilities you need (water / toilets / showers / bins etc) are very close so you don't have to walk far.
Only thing I did notice was that there was a gap onto the main road from one of the gates near the children's play area, but everywhere else secure.
Had a really good weekend and we will definitely be returning next year.

Just returned after a weekend break at this site, as our usual park was booked up. First impressions was that it seemed a pleasant park but one that caters mainly for static caravans and only a small area is allocated for tourers, hence the small pitch sizes. Though the pitches were hard standing, a lot has been crammed into a small space. Toilet and shower blocks were portacabins though basic, toilet paper was always stocked up and the showers worked. Although there was a childrens play area available it was a distance from the tourer area. All in all very handy for Rhyl and Prestatyn nearby, but not for a long stay.

This site is mainly static caravans but takes tourers & motor homes. It's not a massive site but has a swimming pool(extra charge) play area.Club, cafe etc. We felt the pitches were a little close to each other, but all were hard standing. Also there was no wash up area so you have to wash up in your caravan and throw the water after down one of the drains. Portakabin toilets that were basic. This is more a site for a one night stay.but ideal if your looking for a site for a static caravan.
