I asked one of the few people on the site about staying and she said she was looking after the site for the owner. Fair enough, it was cheap, but the large Alsatian was noisy when tied up and a nuisance when set free, charging through my guy lines. I had to ask the lady to keep the dog out of the way.
The toilets and showers were not impressive. I was on my own for a walking break so I could put up with it, but I wouldn't take anyone else there.
On the plus side, it was quiet but quite handy for Fishguard town, which is a typical small coastal town with its chippies and pubs, and Goodwick, which is the ferry port.

We can't recommend this campsite enough, particularly for families (although there were groups at the bottom of the campsite during our stay who enjoyed their stay as much as us). It had everything we look for in a campsite - friendly and communal, clean facilities and 'entertainment' on site with the animals and play area. Its a small site but with excellent facilities - the showers are roomy and hot. There is a coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer for any emergencies. The communal campfire was a highlight for us - a great way to met your fellow campers. The animals were great - particularly Trevor the pig (he's just so cute). Our 9 year old son had the best holiday of his life - he made loads of friends and enjoyed the camp fire and the play area (seemed to be suitable for children of all ages). The position of the campsite means that you can visit all of Pembrokeshire, although the site itself is not immediately near any town or site of interest. We will definitely be making a return visit to Tir Bach soon.

I have been going to Tregroes Caravan Park now for 6 years and still frequent about 4 times a year, it is a peace haven paradise. The site is situated 1 mile from Fishguard Town Centre where you will find fine restaurants, fine pubs and fine wines, a local butcher for fresh meat and locally caught fresh fish. Tregroes with its prodigious views of the mountains and Fishguard Harbour where the ferries go to Ireland on a daily basis. There are also great walks from the site to all different kind of activities e.g beaches, breakwater, fishing, horse riding etc. The proprieters of Tregroes are The Williams Family, who always give a warm welcome when you arrive. The amenities on site consist of hot water showers, flush toilet facilities, chemical toilet dispenser which are of close reach to all caravans and tents. There is also fresh water taps in close proximity to everyone. Electric hook-ups are located around the perimeter, and tents are advised to pitch up in the middle of the fields. There is no clubhouse on the site, we provide our own source of enjoyment with our own provisions i.e barbecues, refreshments etc, in a tranquil and pleasant atmosphere. The pubs are in Fishguard Town Centre a pleasant walk about 1 mile away. St David's Cathedral is some 15 miles away, also on the coast, it is the smallest city in the world, you can also visit the Cathedral, which has souvenir shops and restaurants close by. There is plenty more to do and see, Mr Williams will be only too pleased to hand you a leaflet of all the activities, places to go and so forth for children and people of all ages.

When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly owner and shown where to pitch our tent, the site is clean and grass is well maintained. I have 4 yr old twins and a teenager so was a little disappointed that the play area only consisted of a swing, but as we spent all our time away from this site it was not an issue for us. The bad bits - the shower block is old and could do with updating and a good spring clean, the pressure in the showers is bad especially if you are used to a power shower! the toilet block is a little unwelcoming, but the loo's were clean with a good supply of loo roll! This is a basic, peaceful site, which is perfect as a base for sight seeing.
