Spent a week at La Ravoire in early July and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The site is a few hundred metres from the lake shore and far enough from the main road so as we weren't disturbed by any road noise.
It's a very well maintained, small site with about 120 pitches. We arrived in the pouring rain and were offered the choice of about 4 pitches, the one we chose was a little small for the new upgraded tent we had bought (we made a poor choice in the rain!).
The site was about 2/3rds full and so wasn't too busy. Not too many children and the site was nice and quiet at night. The site seemed popular with the English too.
The toilet block was immaculately clean and plenty of hot water. The cubicles that housed the washbasins were a little on the small side though.
Freshly baked croissants and french bread from the on site shop in the morning are a must!
The swimming pool area was excellent although I guess in peak season there would be a lack of sunbeds, but there was plenty of space on the grass nearby.
The bar adjoining the pool looked fairly new and seemed to serve a decent choice of food and drink.
All in all, a very good little site, very clean and Julie on Reception was very helpful indeed.
Would definitely pay another visit to La Ravoire.

As mentioned previously the campsite can feel packed due too the size of the pitches which are small in comparison too other French sites. Overall a good site, well situated with the friendliest of staff. The boat cruise too Annecy is a must along with the pedolos on the Lake. The shop is small but provides basics (like cold beer when struggling with your awning), never used the bar or restaurant but they seemed clean and popular.

This is a lovely site and, providing you get the right pitches, has good views of the hills.
Arrived 25th August (having booked) and were given a choice of three pitches by the friendly reception staff. Over the following couple of days lots of others became vacant; the site felt a bit cramped when it was full but once some of the pitches became vacant had a relaxed spacious feel to it.
As others have noted it is next to the voie verte cycle route which goes to Annecy in one direction and makes a pleasant 30km cycle ride there and back.
My only gripe would be the washblock. It is good and modern but sometimes the showers water temperature is variable from too hot to freezing cold.

We have just got back from 10 nights at this site. The area is outstanding, beautiful scenery and lots to do. Roads were very busy being August. The supermarket and fuel are more expensive down this way.
It is a small site, with amazing views. Fab Cycle path, nice pool/waterslide, which our 6 yr old enjoyed. Loos/showers clean and modern, with loo roll but no loo seats. Only gripe here is the lights are on a timer, they switch off after couple of mins and when the loo roll run out, staff lock the cubicles, so be prepared to queue, can end up with only 2 open, which was a pain, as I always took my own loo roll anyway.
Over all, we were disappointed with this site, due to the pitches, they are very small, almost touching, with no privacy, there are trees and shrubs, but the pitches are not hedged, so you may end up with kids running over your pitch
Our first pitch was dried mud and gravel, at the back of the site, under trees, not good with a SIG on a new tent. After driving all day, this was not what we expected, also the fact we had booked this site 9 months before through the C & CC, usually we get the best pitches, but not this time. I found the staff not very sympathetic, we were told it was the only pitch available.
So the tent went up, we had to sleep somewhere. However the next day, I looked round the site and found some empty pitches, we were able to move to a better pitch with grass in the sun.
There are some nice big grassy pitches near the site entrance I suspect these are the ones with the higher voltage electric, which you pay a bit more for.
There are quite a few Euro tents, they are dotted around the site, we found them quite noisy, probably due to the fact they are not 'campers' and unaware of camping etiquette.

Beautiful location, 15 minutes walk from the lake, mountain scenery. Next to cycle path that goes right along the lake.
Lake beach 5 minute drive away. Road too busy to be a pleasant walk.
Reception staff friendly and helpful.
Fresh bread can be ordered for collection from the small on site shop each morning.
Pitches a good size, but many are slightly sloping.
Pool smaller and less clean than average. Rules state no shorts but this is not enforced, so no need to buy some budgie smugglers specially! Great water slide, separate to pool.
Facilities / sanitary block struggle a bit to cope in high season. This was the only site on our trip where we had to queue at times. No hot water for washing up in the early evening.
We would go back. But will also do a bit more research into other sites in the area first. Feel it needs a bit of an upgrade/ refurb to justify their high season pitch fees.

Stayed at this site for 5 days, facilities are good and very clean, push button showers with plenty of hot water. Small niggle - The light for the shower block is on entry and is on a timer, so if you need more than about 4 mins to have your shower after dark you will be having it in darkness unless someone else comes in. They have a good swimming pool on site with a big slide in a separate part and kiddies pool is separate too. Bar and Restaurant serving basic food and takeaway available, Pizza Frites etc. The big plus for this site is that it is right next to the Cycle track into Annecy which is 15 kms away, sounds a long way but its a good straight, flat path and takes an hour to cycle. Annecy is fantastic, plenty of bars and restaurants, open spaces, swimming pool, lakeside sunbathing and picnic area.
By contrast, Doussard has nothing but a restaurant and a shop. Would I stay here again - Yes. The site was 85% Brits when we were there.

Stayed here for 8 days recently, great site everything clean and tidy. Ample pool and bar although it is the kind of location that you are out and about sightseeing so may not spend much time on the camp. A really beautiful area with loads to see and do.
There is a quiet policy after 10pm, we sat having a reasonably quiet drink one night with our neighbours and got a stern warning from the owner next day. He had received a complaint from someone and was not too pleased, I was a little bit paranoid about our noisiness after this incident. We honestly do try our best to be good neighbours!
There are quite a few british on site and the management all speak very good english, they are very helpful with any information you might need.

The site is clean, the pool is clean and the cafe is very adequate. The scenery is outstanding and the location - close to the cycle track - and 15mins walk to the lake beach is fantastic. However, our pitch was tiny. Admittedly, we do have a large tent. However our neighbours son was sleeping less than 2metres from our tent. It made for a very claustrophobic experience.

Lovely site, very clean facilities. The showers were a little temperamental (not that it bothered us) when we first arrived however the site owner had them fixed after a couple of days and they were perfect.
The plots are spacious, it's a very quiet site and very safe for children, especially with a fence around the pool, although this means you have to walk around the pool to get access. Our five year old was able to cycle up and down outside our camper without too much worry about cars.
About a 10 minute walk to the lake, wonderful views, adequate shop and daily fresh bread that you can order. Would go back to this site again and our five year old didn't want to leave!. A lot of the people who were on the site, both young and old, had been before to this site, which I think speaks volumes!

We stayed at this site with Eurocamp. It was just what we expected, a small friendly campsite. Our pitch was large, the neighbours considerate and although the site was full when we arrived it never felt overcrowded or too busy. The location is great, 2 minutes from a fantastic cycle path that goes all the way into Annecy which was really safe for the kids. You can see the lake from the site and it takes a few minutes by bike to the lake edge or about 10 if you walk. The kids loved the pool at the site especially the slide. The pool is not manned though so you need to be vigilant. The only (slight) downside of the pool was that it was not possible to have sun loungers on the edge of the pool but behind the railing fence, so it wasn't particularly nice if you just wanted to sit by the pool. The shop is adequate, nothing more, the laundry is good. Prices aren't inflated in the shop, although on the whole, Annecy is very expensive. There's a nice bar but stocks were running a little low which might have been because it was nearly the end of August. The staff are very helpful and all the facilities are clean. If you like cycling and lakeside activities Annecy is a great place to be - truly beautiful.
