A lovely well kept and peaceful site which was within walking distance (about 40 mins via the short cut) of Benllech. Benllech has everything you could need and the beaches are lovely. Wonderful walking around the site and proximity to Snowdon (about 20 miles) a plus.

Negatives: pub at entrance to site didn't allow dogs inside so not possible to sample the food.

Site warden rang us 5mins before we were due to leave home to tell us quite brusquely that the hardstanding that we thought we had booked back in March would not be available due to it being Peak Season. There were at least 3 hard standings available when we arrived and when we left on Tuesday so still not clear why they are not allocated on a first come first served basis. Still we found a lovely site down the road where we will be able to book a hardstanding even in Peak Season.

Stayed here in half term with 2 kids under 10, the site was full but still quiet. The wardens were friendly, kids loved the site and felt comfortable riding their bikes around.

We were pitched at the bottom of a small slope and I knew the car would have trouble getting traction after all the rain we had, so the warden used his tractor to get us up the hill and we were away.

The surrounding area is fantastic. The beaches were great, crabbing in Beaumaris was very good. Our kids got a couple of buckets full of them!

Will be booking to go back this spring when it opens again.

Having no toilet block was not a problem, in fact it was a nicer atmosphere!

Lovely site, well laid out and very peaceful.

Even though it had no shower or toilet block or children's play area didn't make it any less of a good quality site, my youngest 7yr old still loved it and made lot's of friend's.

Would definitely return.

Even though there is a static site next door and a pub at the end of the road didn't spoil it at all.

First time in our touring caravan. A lovely warm welcome extremely helpful.

A beautiful, clean, spacious, quiet considerate site. We loved it it was just how we wanted a site to be.

There are fresh sausages and bacon for sale definitely recommended.

A nice little shed full of leaflets to help with days out, magazines and books for swapping for those who like to have a read.

We will definitely stay in the future prefer no toilet blocks.

Visited different beaches every day, nice walks even went Speed Karting absolutely brilliant.

A very happy camper!

We stayed at this site with two children age 3 and 5 for four nights. We chose the site as friends of ours are at the static site next door. The site is beautifuly maintained, and the wardens really pleasant and helpful. We knew prior to arriving it had no facilities at all but we still had a lovely time.We do not like large commercial sites but usually like a toilet block, shop and playground but this did not matter here.It had a nice atmosphere we will return again. We visited Beaumaris, Model Village at Newborough which boys liked and climbed the Marquiss of Angleseys Tower just outside Beaumaris, worth it great views. Only negative point to make Moelfre fish and chip shop really awful! - (watched lifeboat launch which again boys loved )but eat it at your peril. Took ours back could not eat it at al - Beaumaris fish and chips lovely.

Excellent well run quiet site, well located within reach of many beaches. Been going to Angelsey for many years, and this must be about the best site I have used. Only downside was multiple sleeping policemen at entrance surly more than needed, but none on actual site. Will definatly return

This was our ist visit to this site, but it wont be the last. We have never been to a site before with no toilet block (even though our van does have a loo and a shower) as we always use the block on site - if you have the facilities on your van, then I recommend this site. Its laid out over a couple of levels, and pitches seem pretty flat - there are a mix of hardstanding and grass pitches, and the site is maintained to a very high standard - lots of trees and plants. The wardens were very helpful (I know people always say this about CC wardens, but belive me, I have met a few who are not!) - they helped us into a pretty tight pitch we liked the look of, (recommended we pitched sideways as the site was more level at the back than the front) and also loaned an extension lead we needed - it was bank holiday and the site was very full, but nothing was too much trouble for them.

The site has a pub at its entance (2 minute walk) which seemed pretty nice - we had a couple of drinks in there - we didnt try the food, but there were plenty of people eating (basic pub grub menu)

Have already been on the CC website to look at booking a return visit !
