Vaenol Farm I've been going there for 3 years now, the reasons I return is it's perfect placement between beach and shops such as the co-op. The facilities are nice toilets and showers, disabled bathroom. The tent field has loads of space for ball games and children to play.
There's a shop on site with handy opening hours morning and evening, it is expensive but if you need something its handy when the co-op has closed at 4pm Sunday.
There's also a laundrette with plugs for hairdryers and mirrors also in the communal washing up area which is set out well and next to the toilets.
The warden's very friendly there are a few rules such as keeping the noise down after 10pm which is acceptable. The site's very friendly.
We paid £6. 00 a person a night, which I found good as there was a group of 7 of us all ranging from 16 to 23 yrs old. We had four tents between us, so really we all could of had a tent each if we wanted as you pay by person not tents.

We have just came back from the site not wanting to leave after such a good stay !
everyone was very friendly and made you feel welcome. The cost per night is very competitive and well worth it!
the facilities are excellent with clean and hygienic showers and toilets, a laundrette and a shop. The shop is only open twice a day but there is plenty of chance to get what you need and if you do need something that they do not sell they try there best to get it in later that day or the next day.
The site is only 10 minutes walk or a short drive away from the Tywyn town centre and the beach which is very clean and quiet. There is a good cinema and pub in the town centre along with lots of shops to get some great souvenirs.
There is also 2 chip shops in the town centre which are great when you want something yummy when your out.

Great site really good value cheapest in Wales. Good facilities. Football pitch for the kids.Friendly staff.
We don't use hook up so we put the caravan on the large camping field so there was loads of room. There are good views of the hills from this field.
Coop supermarket just down the road. The beach is 10 min walk or a short drive away. There is always plenty of room on the beach. There is tennis, bowls tennis, putting, crazy golf and giant quoits right next to the beach.
Would definitely visit again.

This site is one of the best sites that I have had the pleasure to stop at. The staff are brilliant and always helpful and friendly. The site is lovely and clean and considering the rain that fell, there wasn't any boggy parts. The shop on site had everything that you would possibly need for camping. The toilets and showers were always clean and tidy, there were only two female showers though, but if you timed it right then they were nice and quiet. Tywyn is only a ten minute walk away from the site and so is the beach. I would definitely recommend this site. In fact we are going back in October and also next year. Great value for money cost of £8 per night that's for two adults and one dog.

Basic site, showers and toilets were not good at all however it really didn't matter (we only stayed one night). It was my first solo trip as my husband couldn't get the time off work and everyone was so helpful from helping me pitch the tent to amusing my two children (5&3). Didn't use the shop on site so can't comment.
Pitch was nice and flat on the main site, didn't look at the field to the rear.
Aberdovey is simply amazing but a 5 min drive from the site. Wonderful shops, a lovely bistro and the most accommodating crabs who are great at jumping onto the crabs lines!

Great site, upon arrival we were greeted by owner, who was friendly and welcoming, huge field which is great, plenty of personal space
Shower and toilet blocks clean and tidy, although a short wait early morning. No noise at night & a friendly and pleasant atmosphere on site, really enjoyed our stay, and will be returning there tomorrow for a few days.

Well, we've been to Vaenol every August since 1997 and always had great fun. There isn't much there - apart from lovely scenery, relaxed friendly atmosphere, one of the most helpful owners you will meet, clean safe beaches and glorious weather. Well sometimes!. All the facilities you need are there, the owners look after you and wont let anyone take liberties. Our children have grown up camping here - they genuinely love coming to Vaenol because they feel safe and have great fun. So do we.

We have used this site for a few years but havent been for the last 5 due to our circumstances. This year we hope to go back along with our puppy, we have always had fun at this site and the staff within the shop and the lady who collects the tent money are both polite and friendly, we love this site and would seriously recommend it to anyone. It is also in close proximity to the local town and shops, which there is a varied choice. The town offers a large choice of shops, pubs, takeaways and also a cinema if you fancy a movie.

Nice site, Short walk away from the beach, facilities were not brilliant but we had a good time. There is a small shop on site but it only opens twice daily. The site is flat, ideal for tents. When we went we were not told we had to pre-book for a hook up but the owner did her best to accomodate us which was good.

The site is set in beautiful scenery near Twyn and about a mile and a half from the lovely sands of Aberdovey. The camping field is very flat ideal for tents. The owner very friendly. Facilities for a site this size were very poor. Only two shower units which where basic and three sinks fo hand washing with no soap dispenser. The washing up area had two sinks but only one drainer area. Apart from this we had a lovely week on the site which is dog friendly.
