WOW, what a lovely little site.
The owners are so friendly, right from guiding me into our pitch to guiding us out the park, Bob was there to help.
Yes the site is small but it is advertised like that so its unfair to leave negative feedback for this. All the pitches had a picnic bench and sun umbrella which was handy for the hottest weekend of the year, only 1 toilet and shower per sex but there is a unisex toilet just opposite.
Kitchen is a great idea, everything you could think of in there, we only needed the Iron and can opener but it saved us.
The park itself is around the main house and the site is very clean and tidy, well maintained and a nice place to relax.
Forest walks just behind the park and some shops for those midnight emergencies at the Leigh Delamere Services which is a 5-10 min walk.
We visited Castle Coombe and Grittleton which are villages of outstanding beauty and well worth the visit.
We asked about late check out times and were shocked to hear from bob that they don't charge for this, so we stayed until 4pm on out last day to make the stay a bit longer (might be different at busy times though)
This site is not suited for children over 3-4 years as there are no playgrounds, ball areas etc but we had our 1 year old and took some of her toys and this was fine, children our welcome.

This is a lovely family run site rather than one of the larger 'commercial' sites. The directions on the website made this easy to find.
We arrived late and left early and the owners were happy to accommodate our needs. We had no need to use the hook up so cannot comment on this. The shower and toilets are clean, tidy, and well maintained. However there are only one each for the ladies and gents and this might lead to some queueing at busier times of the year.
The grounds are tidy and very well maintained. The security lights meant it was safe and easy to move around after dark. There were no obvious children's facilities. Washroom with tea making facilities available.
The site is quite near the motorway. Anyone who is particularly sensitive might notice the traffic noise (my husband did) but for the most part the nearby woods absorb most of the sound and it's not really a problem.

We picked The Chase as a one night stop off due to its proximity to the M4 and we were pleased with our choice. The owners are perfect hosts, and the shower and toilets were spotless and warm. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was amazing. There is a country park next door which would make an ideal dog walk. All in all great short stay for us and we do plan to go back one day for a full weekend.

Bob and Sherry, the owners of this site, are really friendly and extremely helpful. The Chase is situated in an isolated position surrounded by woodland with public access and is right next to Leigh Delamere services on the M4. Indeed, you can walk there in less than 10 minutes for a Costas coffee or for shopping at the M&S foodstore. Take a torch at night though, because the lane is very dark. However, traffic noise from the M4 at the site is only just audible. There is also a really well equipped kitchen on the site with everything one can need.
However, the site is extremely small and cramped, and you need to be good at reversing if towing a caravan. Some pitches are very close to each other and most of the site, which has many semi-permanent occupants and statics, is gravelled so there is the constant sound of crunching under both feet and tyres. The security lighting tends to come on at night, set off by animals no doubt, so this can be an annoyance when it shines through your Heki rooflight over your bed at 2.00 am. And there is just one one toilet/shower cubicle each for men and women. There is another single toilet though, in a garden shed which is also the chemical disposal point. For water, you use a non-food quality hose reel right by the fire alarm, and for grey water waste disposal, the gulley top is situated about 30cms above ground level so you have to lift your waste tank up and balance it precariously over the grating while emptying.
In my opinion, this site is only ideal for just a one night stopover whilst travelling to and from Devon and Cornwall, mostly due to its strategic location.

This is a perfect little gem in the Wiltshire countryside. Sherry & Bob the site owners gave us a extremely warm welcome, and showed us the site facilities, which are just like home from home. The toilet & showers are extremely clean & comfortable. The site is in a walled garden, which surrounds a licensed restaurant(which is only open to the public Fridays/Saturday evenings). Our collie dog Jess really enjoyed the huge forest right next door to camp site. The motorway services are about 1/2 mile away, but Chipenham is only 2 miles away with Morrisons /Sainsburys. The site is ideally situated to tour the Cotswolds and surrounding areas.

This was our first (of many we hope) visit to the chase and we were very impressed. On our arrival we were personally greeted by both sherry & bob and made to feel very welcome,we were given information on the site facilities and local amenities nothing was too much trouble. The site has a lovely homely feel to it ,,which is very nicely landscaped, the pitches are spacious and set around their house which is also a restaurant & bar we didn't use this facility as we arrived late on sat evening but will most definitely try it out next time, the menu looks very tempting, and all freshly home cooked! what a treat! So if you are looking for a friendly site in lovely settings this has to be the one for you! I'm not going to praise it anymore or it'll be fully booked when we want to go again! if I was to give marks out of 10 it would have to be 9.5. we look forward to our next visit.

Lovely little site next to forest, was given a very warm welcome. Very clean amenities but only one bathroom each for male / females could be a problem if busy as no separate toilets. Had a lovely meal in resturant serving a la carte and bar meals very friendly would return. Not really suitable for children.
