Stayed here for one night to see what it was like and fell in love with it straight away! Travelled from Leicester in the midlands over in one day (3 hours drive) for one night but was well worth it. The scenery is breathtaking as you sit outside your tent and just can't take your eyes off it when your cooking your evening meal. The owners are very friendly and have much time to show newcomers all the facilities. The Toilet blocks/showers are very good with running water 24 hours and the owners even provide eco friendly washing agents free of charge - which I find very odd. I would charge for them myself! The site is adults only (14 years and over) which we find great because everyone shows an interest in keeping the place clean and disposing of their waste according to the collection process in the region.
You also have the option of having a lie in, in the morning as there are no kids to wake you at 7am for a go on their new bicycle. (Not got a thing about kids - but visited many campsites).
The site is very well positioned for the mountain bike trails and we understand it is very good for the walkers.
So - we booked three weekends in August to go mountain bike riding from the farm to coed y brenin, and have just returned from our first weekend trip at the farm. 8th and 9th August.
What do we think? Well! We will be returning on many occasions to use the facilities as they are excellent at the farm. Road noise is minimal as it's alongside an A road but between 12-7am it is very low. But what can people expect from an A road. The views from the farm camping areas are breathtaking and add to the feeling of being close to nature. We did visit a pub up in the hills above the campsite (which is part of a caravan park) not bad - but found the view equal too or little better than from the campsite so decided in future just to stay where we were in the grounds of the farm and enjoy the peacefulness of our tent surroundings and have all the amenities free for us to enjoy.
If it's a cheap holiday away from where you live then we would recommend it hands down too!
All in all you couldn't wish for a better location/facilities and the hosts are doing their utmost to help the environment too!
Will be back in two weeks time unless the hosts see this and object!

I stayed here during the week and thought it was an excellent site. The new family that have taken over the site are very friendly and welcoming. As I went mid week I was a bit surprised by there being a few school parties there, either doing Duke of Edinburgh award or on school trips but the youngsters didn’t cause any problems, and the owners son did tell me they would be arriving before I paid so I had the choice to stay or not.
I think there may only be three toilets for camper’s one male, one female and one mixed and I’m not sure how many showers as I only used the facilities adjoining the camping barn, which were excellent and the shower was free.
The other really good thing about this site is that it can accommodate all your friends, those that want to get back to nature in a tent and those who want a bit more luxury in a B & B.
If I had to pick one negative it would be the sites proximity to A470 which meant you did hear some traffic but the fact that it is literally just up the road from Coed Y Brenin, made up for that.

Great campsite! Super eco-friendly facilities and ideally situated for biking at Coed-y-Brenin. No pub within walking distance but the landlord of the nearest pub very amenable to offering lifts back to the campsite.
Incredibly scenic and peaceful.
When we stayed they were still taking families and had a separate field for families with children which meant we weren't disturbed by children and we didn't disturb them - a great idea!

Another visit to what’s got to be our favourite campsite. The scenery is spectacular, the owners are incredibly friendly, the campsite is quiet, the showers and facilities are very clean and it’s a hop, skip and a jump away from Coed-y-Brenin – what more could you want!
It is a working farm – with lots of sheep but it’s never caused us any problems. There are plenty of decent places to pitch your tent and we have never struggled to find a flat bit plus something that always impresses me is compared to other campsites I have visited this one is never completely rammed – even over bank holidays as Yuki and Steve (the owners) prefer you have to more room round your tent than loads of tents squashed in to a small space.
Would definitely recommend it to other mountain bikers and people who like quiet campsites.

The scenery is stunning and the site itself very beautiful and peaceful. We were there the week after heavy rain, and were not allowed to take the car onto the fields (although we had been in other sites). We were also told not to allow our children out of our sight (they roamed freely elsewhere), and the site has lots of notices telling campers what to do. Despite the excellence of the facilities, and the beauty of the surroundings, we won't be returning as a family.

An interesting site- a couple of fields in a working farm. The owner terribly anxious- lots of 'do's' and don'ts' (presumably because this is a working farm) but keen to please. Not enough toilets/showers and washing sinks but all clean. Ground uneven and because of the weather no cars allowed in the fields which meant for a tiresome trek back and forward with gear. Not much space for our kids to play footy and when they did were quickly told to 'move away' by some miserable campers. But the naked men dancing in the window of the camping barn did cheer up an otherwise dismal weekend.

Stayed on this lovely site for three nights. As promised the views were terrific, even through the rain! Facilities were good and clean but as previous reviewers said I would be concerned if the site was full; there is a fair bit of work going on and it looks like more facilities are planned which would be great. Other reviewers have mentioned the uneven ground which is a bit of a problem but not that bad if you search around. We went when the site was not full so there was plenty of scope to choose your spot. In fact on the last night we were the only tent in our field. You also have to not mind sharing the field with sheep and the inevitable end result. My only problem was that the A470 is near so you do get a bit of traffic noise. That said if you don't mind all that waking up to the fabulous view is well worth it and the area is lovely with loads to do walking cycling and touristy things - recommend the Festiniog railway. The owners (and their dog) are also very friendly and welcoming.

We stayed at this site for 2 nights which were part of a holiday mountain biking. The location of the site is ideal for Bikers being very close to the MTB mecca of Coed-y-Brenin.
The site itself is rather basic, the main camping field has a bit of a slope but nothing major. The ground can be quite Rocky so takea hammer for your pegs.
They have installed a nice Portakabin style shower block, which gives space for 2 showers.
The site has superb views over the rhinog mountians and the owners are a nice family.
Walks can be started straight from the site in great scenery.
Very much a Mountian BIkers site though.

Good points were that the hosts were welcoming and friendly, the site was quiet and the toilets and showers were clean. The area was quiet with some nice walks starting from the site. The bad points were that there didn't seem to be quite enough toilets and showers when the site was full (no caravans allowed so everyone staying on the site wanted to use the facilities) and also the ground was the most uneven that I have ever camped on (no exaggeration). There were't any pubs within walking distance. We went early in the season and there was some work going on to make better/more facilities so maybe it's better now.
