My husband David and I have just had a month touring France and Spain. We stayed at Camping Les Boueix on the way to Spain and on the way back as it is so central to our journey through France and easily accessible from the main A20. They are open all year round, and have a convenient hardstanding should the weather be inclement and the grass too wet.
Neil and Linda's extensive knowledge of the area pointed us in the direction of several places of interest.
It is a lovely quiet site and set in beautiful countryside. The facilities are clean and tidy. The fresh eggs are delicious.
They have a fishing lake and have just opened a new tackle shop, which is extensively stocked.
We will definitely be returning in the future, for a longer stay next time.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this charming campsite in the Creuse countryside. Our hosts Neil and Linda Flinton (and their black labrador Jet) made our stay delightful.
The toilet and shower facilities were spotless with as much hot water as you need. The pitches are level, well spaced and well maintained with modern electrical hook up systems, chemical disposal point with ample fresh water points.
Neil and Linda's local knowledge enabled us to experience some wonderful sight seeing and also endulge in French cuisine.
The campsite also has a well stocked fishing lake on a very reasonable day ticket, and Neils knowledge will put you on the fish everytime and multiple catches of carp to 30lb are common.
The lake is surrounded by a woodland nature walk where we spotted deer, kingfishers, buzzards and other wildlife. An ideal spot for a summer picnic.
We will be returning later this year to take advantage of this.
This campsite is well worth considering if you intend to stay for a full holiday or as a stop over while touring France.

Neil and Linda were very friendly and welcoming. The campsite was spotless and very natural and the views were stunning all around you. The lake was like a mill pond and the fish that we caught were immaculate ranging in size from 18lb 12 to 9lb 8 of mirrors, commons and a sturgeon that we'd never caught before. There is plenty to see and do around the area including a lovely walk through their own woods. We had a great time and we would recommend this site to everybody whether you are fishing or not, it is a very peaceful and relaxing place to be and we will definitely be back. Thanks once again for a great time Paul and Heather.
