My family and I stayed here for 3 nights over the weekend and found this camp site lovely it takes you back to the peace and quiet we all forget about. Lovely owners very on the ball with all guests always asking if your ok and if you need anything.
The site facilities were basic but clean and great, the playground and other kids friendly area my children loved. My youngest loved the resident animals a peacock, some ducks, chickens, rabbits and a lovely dog.

Just back from spending a couple of nights at this site over the spring bank holiday weekend.
What a lovely little site, it has something for everyone, there is a small playpark for the kids close enough for the kids to go to themselves but because it is in the wooded area no noise so ideal for couples also.
It is in the countryside in a nice rural location but still within 10-15 mins drive of Girvan and the seaside. There is plenty of free hot water and the shower is a standard electric shower so no trying to keep the button pressed with shampoo in your eye!
Camping area is pretty level although was a bit rocky in places especially for standard pegs!
The owners are very helpful and can't do enough to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible, we were 2 mums on our own with the kids and we felt safe and secure on the site!
Would highly recommend for anyone and we will hopefully re-visit at some point in the future.

This site is a very well maintained site. It was a lot better than we thought it would be. Owners were very helpful and friendly, and although the on-site shop was not always open they will open it if you need anything.
It is a very peaceful site and in a beautiful location, only about a ten minute drive to / from Girvin. Campsite only holds about six tents spaciously and is next to the play park where you can keep an eye on the kids.
The toilets were clean and shower rooms were great as you get as long as you want to wash. The downside to this site was the fact that it was quite rural and you would have to drive about fifteen minutes to reach Girvin which has an Asda.
I would recommend this site for people who like a quiet weekend away with or without the kids. A great time was had by all, and we will definitely return in the near future. A real beautiful camp site.

We spent a week here as a base for visiting the surrounding area. The site is really attractive and clean, and the facilities including free hot showers, and a small laundry cabin, are kept spotless. The play area is good, but a little run down, and there are plans to renovate it this autumn, so it's not really a problem; the kids loved it anyway. Dave his wife where absolute stars, and went way out of their way to be helpful when our tent succumbed to thirty hours of rain! Midges are present, obviously, but not to the kind of levels that drive people off screaming. The surrounding area has lots to do, the best days out being Heads of Ayr Farm Park, and Culzean Castle, both of which will take up a whole day. We will definitely use this site again when we are back in the area.

Just returned from a wonderful week here. Absolutely superb campsite. Quiet, extremely clean toilet and shower block, and as said before, very helpful hosts in Dave and Jo.
The shop on site is open for half an hour on a morning to stock up on the basics, but will open any time on request. There is a full laundry room available all day too.
There is an Asda 20 minutes away in Girvan, and lots of places to eat. There is also a village store a mile away from the site, and a pub that serves meals. The fish and chips there are well recommended. We normally make all our meals on site, but with such a variety of places to eat, we settled for having breakfast in the Tent, and had all other meals whilst out and about, meaning we had more time to take in the best scenery in the country IMHO.
We are definitely saving this site in our Favourites, and will be back later this year for another week.

Stopped for one night in our 2 man tent for £10 with hot showers inclusive. The hosts Dave and Jo were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A very quiet site just off the road to Girvan, so no problems finding this site. The facilities were spotless and well organised including iron and ironing board for us campers. The only draw back as already was the midgy population who came out to greet us during our stay, we decided against getting the camping stove out here as a result and settled on a visit too the Chip shop in Girvan. Good to visit a site where traditional camp values on respect for your fellow campers (on noise etc) are upheld and posted on signs around the site.

Was recommended this site by a friend. The site owners were very helpful facilities were first class. Shop was closed but if you ask the owner will open it for you. So much so that I have left my caravan on site for the winter season
I would recommend this site to anyone wanting a good clean and friendly site. Costs are very reasonable too. 5 min drive to nearest pub good food and cheap. Girvan about 20 mins drive away stranrear about 30 min drive

Great site, camping area small only fit's 5 tents. Try and get pitches 1 or 5 as others are uneven. Camping area right next to playpark fantastic for kid's. Girvan not far away so if you dont feel like cooking plenty of choice. Site is very clean, toilets were spotless. As other reviewer said midgies were a problem, stock up on citronella candle's and midge repellent. Only down point was the shop was closed most of the time so dont expect much there. All in all great site and we will definitely re-visit.

We spent 2 nights at this campsite and loved it! It was very well kept in beautiful surroundings. Toilet and shower blocks are spotless. Owners are friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Only downside were the midges so take a hat. We definitely plan on visiting again.

An excellent site with a very friendly atmosphere. Situated in a very peaceful part of south Ayrshire. We liked it so much that we now have a seasonal pitch & spend most weekends there enjoying the local surroundings or just chilling out on site. The owners Dave & Joanne are great hosts always there to assist with anything. Very child friendly. Highly Recommended.
