Me and my Partner have visited Greengrass Park twice now and would definitely recommend it, we had a great time whilst we were there. The second time we went they had done some improvement to the site, new toilet blocks with extra toilets (which are very clean) and have now put on more entertainment in the clubhouse. Staff are very friendly and welcoming onto the site and show you to your pitch on arrival. There is also a barbecue area where you can buy food (which is very nice) and sit near the Lake. The site offers Watersports for people to try and you can also go fishing. The only downside to the site is that the shower block is a fair walk from the tent pitches, we found it easier to drive round. The site is also hard to find if you don't know where it is, maybe better off asking for directions when booking. Overall the site is great and ideal for a get away for the weekend. We'll definitely be going back there in a few weeks!

We have just got back after the Easter weekend and I will be honest we had an absolutely fabulous time. Just a couple of negatives, If you are following your sat nav be warned it may take you down a farm track about 2 miles long don't do it you come to a locked gate and if you are towing a caravan you will have a few problems. It would be a good idea to take a torch as the toilets are in a wooden porta cabin with no lights, there were two toilets and two sinks always clean. The shower block is a fair walk or a short drive very clean with hot water none of these things were a problem for us. When we arrived at the site we were greeted by very friendly staff they took us to our pitch, we had a fab weekend my children aged 12 and 15 loved the water sports and nothing was too much trouble we were made to feel very welcome We ate at the chip shop in the village. I would definitely recommend it and all in all we had a brill weekend and we will definitely be going back

Just got home from another great weekend at Greengrass. All the staff are great and the food on a weekend night is just fab especially the chicken curry (compliments to the chef and his hard working staff). We had a really good time on the lake having ringo rides and kids loved splashing around. There were people fishing though if you fancy chilling out a bit more. Sitting on the decking over the lake with a large drink (you can take your own) is as good as being abroad. We will be back soon.

Although a bit difficult to find, well worth the search effort. On arrival was greeted at the gates by a very friendly young man named Dixie. We were asked if we wanted field parking or the car park, we chose the field, been there about an hour when the heavens opened up, asked if we could locate back to the car park, no problem he said and found us a perfect pitch right near to all amenities (Showers Toilets Laundry room and club house) all spotlessly clean. Hooked up the electrics and found out we hadn't packed the scart lead for the DVD player! Dixie back to the rescue he searched the campsite for us and eventualy found one for us. We only stayed two nights. But will certainly return back through the summer for a week or two. PS lovely views over the lake from the club house.

Eventually found campsite after driving around for ages, it's in the middle of no where so be prepared!
We were the only tent in the park, the rest was taken up by tourer caravans that looked as if had been there for ever.
The campsite was very quiet so if you like that sort of thing this is the place for you, but I wasn't too impressed. Not a lot to do really if your not into watersports.
Ladies toilets and showers were clean and as I seemed to be the only one using them I had no bother getting one! My other half said the men's weren't so clean but passable.

If you visit this site the camping field is not that great, if you have hook up just plugging this in can be quite scary as you have to step through the nettles! Also the toilet block in the field is a portacabin, the ladies is just one toilet and a sink together but no lock and the mens for some reason has 2 toilets and 2 sinks. If you do want a shower its quite a long walk over the other side of the lake, "easier to drive round" Also the refuse bins were right next to us although bins is not the word it was just a rust old trailer which was already over flowing when we got there and never looked like it had been moved. If you like your jet skiing and watersports fine but it could be made much better if they put more emphasis on toilet and shower facilities than on the watersports.

Would recommend it highly. Me, my family and my tent and my friend her family and their tent went here most weekends in summer from easter to august. Had a great time will definatly be back this year cant wait. Charlie and Helen make you feel so welcome. My friends daughter burnt her hand one night and Charlie came with his first aid kit and sorted her for us.
Its great as well because the site hasn't got a licence you take carrier bags of booze in clubhouse. There are quizes and killer pool on, on a night. No-ones allowed near the water without a lifejacket which is great, they was life jackets always available to borrow free of charge. Foods nice at the food bar too. Fishing is allowed at the other end of the lake which kept kids happy. Helen dragged me on the ringo I mistakably said I'd go on it when I'd had a bit too much too drink, but didnt know that Helen isnt one to forget. But what a laugh Charlie pulled us all over the lake him on is jet ski and me and Helen on a double ringo. It was great. Its Jackies turn this year though Helen haha.
Showers always hot water and real clean. Get yourselves there you wont be dissapointed

Stayed recently on the far side of the lake to the clubhouse which for us was good as the clubhouse can be a bit noisy. We had a really enjoyable time messing on the lake with the dingy and banana, free safety gear for the kids, jet bike rides (pillion) for a small donation to charity. The area is lovely and the owners are really friendly The only let down is the facilities for a site so large they should be better and if you are on the far side of the lake the showers are a such a long walk we ended up driving.

Booking on to this site should come with a warning ---- you won't want to leave! Positively the friendliest site we have EVER been to in ten years of camping. On arrival the site looks a bit "rustic" and a bit scruffy but don't let it put you off this is a relatively new venture so is still a work in progress. There are two fields, one with quite a few annual pitches and another across the lake primarily for tents .The club and main facilities are found near the entrance. The shower block is also here with additional toilet facilities at the other end of the field and another on the tent field, although being housed in portable buildings they are well kept and very clean with free showers, Pitches on the main site are separated with with trees, and my does Charlie like his trees! some of the trees do make it a little difficult to get onto pitches but when mature will give a real feeling of seclusion. The other field is open grassed area. The ground is quite soft so Motorhome owners need to be aware of it as there isn't any hardstanding. By far the best bit about this site is the welcome you will receive - when we arrived everyone seemed to know each other but we soon found out that some of the "regulars" had actually only been once before and it isn't long until you feel like you know everyone too. The club on the site isn't licensed but this is probably a bonus because you can take your own drinks.Charlie and Helen organise a variety of activities but take your ear plugs in case Garry sings! A big part of the site is the watersports on the lake which if you are lucky you will get the opportunity to try out - our kids love just messy about in their inflatable canoe - life jackets are compulsory but available to borrow. If you get chance RIDE A BISCUIT! Despite this there is still the peace and tranquillity of a countryside site. Another regular feature seems to be fund-raising weekends which add to the family atmosphere and make the site seem all the more special. Well done Charlie and Helen for getting the balance right.

Having read the reviews and having nowhere booked for the weekend we thought that we'd give it a go - big mistake ! We were in the satellite field with dogs running loose, a builders portacabin for a toilet block, no showers and no lighting to traverse to the toilet although pitches were available we were down the field ( actually you could have lighting at your pitch if one of you was prepared to forsake your EHU to plug in the light ! ) Splash out put the sockets in - will not be returning here !
