Just got back from a weekend here. Firstly, have to say the site was absolutely spotless. The bin and waste area was also really clean and tidy, bins always being emptied. The pitches were a good size, we stayed on hard standing and grass. You have to use your own toilet and shower etc, as there is none on the site, but this is stated anyway.
One gripe we do have is that you can't actually see the beautiful views of the Derwent Valley from the site as the trees are all too tall. Which is a real shame. We didn't take our dogs with us this time, but there is a dog exercise area. Not the biggest, but I'd say it was adequate. One more thing, is there is a lot of traffic noise from the busy A6 which runs close to the site, along with the train. Didn't bother us in the slightest, but if you're not a fan of traffic noise, maybe this site is not for you.
For £12 a night with water and EHU, we'll defo be going back, a lovely affordable site.

Well wow what a quaint little site this was, we came here on spec to try our new (to us) caravan out as we have upgraded from tent to caravan.
This site was just beautiful easy to find the owner was so nice and helpful helped us guide the caravan in. The site was very small and had no amenities but it didn't matter it was perfect for a weekend, and we picked the hottest weekend so far this year.
There was a dog friendly pub about 5 mins away from the site which was a bonus a little field for the dog to run around in,
This site is open all year round and I looking froward to going back in the autumn for another weekend break

Just returned from a very relaxing may bank holiday from Broadholme caravan site in Derbyshire (Derwent valley) This site is very well looked after, very clean and very tidy site. The owners met us at the gate and took us to our spot. They then helped us arrange your caravan in place. I have a motor mover but didn't need it once. Help is on hand with anything you need.
The site has 15 hard standing and grass pitches which are all level and have 20amp hook up. There are no toilets or wash rooms, you have to use your own. There is waste and fresh water.
The site is very easy to get to, from the A38 and down the A6. We spent a day at the Crich tramway museum and a day at Matlock. There is a pub about 2 mins from the site which sells real ales and home cooked food. Over all I would visit this site again, its well worth the money at £12 a night for caravan and awning, but its very much a quiet site which we like but there's not many children around but enough around and about to keep them occupied. We loved it and had a great relaxing weekend. 8/10 will defo go back again.

Nice clean tidy, well kept site, most pitches are, c.Van on hard standing awning on grass.
As stated in other reviews, no facilities but this is reflected in the £12 per night all in. We were at the top of the site and didn't feel it was far from the water tap e.T.C. Where there are recycling bins.
There is a dog walk with bin, which hasn't been mentioned, it is at the top of the site, it is not very big but it is well fenced and was big enough for our girl to have a play with her ball.
We thought that the site appeared a lot smaller than the web site makes it appear, but this didn't matter as the pitches were well spaced out. The owner said he was going to trim the shrubbery, this would be a big improvement because the views can only be seen from the lower level and the dog walk.
There are no play facilities and this was reflected in the fact that most people on site while we were there were of mature years.
There is a pub a few minutes walk down the road and the bus stops at the end of the lane on the hour for Matlock, Buxton e.T.C.
The main road can clearly be heard and even louder is the railway but taking all things into account we wouldn't let this put us off visiting this lovely little site again.

A nice clean and tidy site just five minutes from Belper
A well kept caravan park with hard standing and grass pitches, very clean waste disposal points and recycling points
Handy for the local pub just five minutes down the road
All electric points are 16amp
Water points can be a bit of a hike depending on pitch
£10 pounds per night with no extra charge for pets or awnings no camping ie tents
We got stuck on the grass after a lot of rain but the site warden pulled us out with no bother
No toilets or showers or play area for children but well worth a visit

Easy access into site, gate is always kept closed.
Pitches are a fair size, wooden blocks needed for some pitches.
No facilities on site - hence price of £10 per night inc hookup. Good value for weekend or stop over.
Provision made for recycling rubbish. Clean and tidy area for water etc. Leaflets provided for local area.
You do get noise from main road and railway.
Able to pay for extended stay on day of departure - £2.00 extra. Morrisons supermarket and a good selection of shops in Belper.
Local Pub 'Fishermans Rest' is 5 mins walk away.
Denby Pottery a short drive away - worth a visit.

This site is just outside the old mill town of Belper. We found the owners very welcoming and helpful. We found the hard standing pitches spacious with plenty of room for caravan, awning and car. I would definitely reccomend this site for both short and long stays, but be mindful that you will need to use your own toilet and shower. However the cheap nightly rate more than makes up for it. Have already booked to go again over Christmas.

A basic site (no toilets, showers, washing facilities) which we wished to use to transfer our equipment from a trailer tent (which they say they accept) to our newly purchased caravan, which the warden helped us to site. No BBQs without permission because of fire risk. Must use breathable groundsheet which we didn't know before hand.
