A basic campsite but a fantastic host and the facilities are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
A brilliant quiet location with loads to see a do in the area.

Completely surrounded by breathtaking scenery this is a fantastic campsite if a get away from the crowd is what you're after. It has 4 electric hook up points, a small communal bothy and a toilet and shower block which is small but perfectly adequate.
The owner is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The nearest village is Glenelg which is 5 miles away so make sure you have everything with you.
Marking for site facilities is a tough one - it had absolutely everything I wanted and needed but if you are after glamour and a bar and entertainment then this isn't for you.

A very simple site, in an outstandingly beautiful area with lots to do.
It rained and has midges but it is Scotland.
It is inexpensive and the toilets and showers are clean. We did not use the electric hook up.
The owner is probable the friendliest and most laid back sit owner I have come across.
His dogs are friendly and a joy to watch. My kids were heartbroken to leave them

The site is in a beautiful unspoilt area, very quiet, virtually no distractions (no mobile coverage) and completely off the beaten track. The access to it is via steep hills from Glen Shiel, but the Kia Ceed dragged the van up without difficulty.
Facilities on the site are basic but adequate, one loo, one shower (a short walk from where the van was). The lambs were endearing and the (friendly) dogs keen to be fed! Pub in Glenelg was welcoming, but for supermarket shopping you need to go to Kyle.
When we were there (for a week) the weather was just about perfect for the time of year (sitting outside in T shirt), no wind, only rained on the last day, lots of sun and no midges.
The site owners were very friendly, relaxed and helpful.

What a fantastic setting.
This site is basic, but had just had electric hook-up installed when we arrived - we were the first to use it. (£15 per night now)
The owner (a working farmer) was very friendly and helpful and had 2 very friendly border collies.
There is a new shower and toilet portakabin (only one of each) which are clean, have hot water but are small and for use by male and female. There is also clean drinking water and Chemical disposal on site. The site is small, caters for around 6 units but the owner has plans to extend the site to double its size in the future.
The setting is magnificent. We have been coming to Scotland for over 30 years and this rates with the best of them, especially for those wanting peace and tranquility and want to be active in outdoor pursuits such as hiking, hill/forest/mountain walking and cycling. If you have children who are active in this way, all well and good, but if not they may get bored quickly - there is no park. The site lies at the head of a huge glen with mountains all around and a forest right next to it. The village of Glenelg is around 3or4 miles away and can be easily reached by walking cycling or car and has a lovely beach.
The route to get to the site from Shiel Bridge is tough. If hiking you will need to be fit and by car and touring caravan, have a powerful enough car to get the caravan over the mountains to the site (I used a 2. 0 diesel Freelander), but once there you will not be disappointed. Alternatively, you could drive to Skye and get the ferry back to Glenelg if your car won't get the van over the tops. Be warned though the road is narrow, very steep with passing places and if you get stuck would be a difficult to turn around to go back. That is the only negative part of this review, but the Skye alternative is worth considiering - the rest is all positive so go find out for yourselves.

Having travelled from Kylerhea to Glenelg in our 27' motorhome by ferry we stopped by the Glen Elg Inn for a beer. This very welcoming hostelry is perfectly dog friendly and the service was swift and pleasant. A nice mixture of locals and visitors gave it a great atmosphere.
The site at Moyle Park is a very basic site but seems to be having a little money spent on upgrading.
It is really for the self-sufficient but has water available as well as disposal facilities.
Set in a glen not far from a wood, peaceful and remote.
At only £8 per night you can hardly complain. I've stayed at places that charge more that weren't as nice.
Had to go to the cottage to pay but noticed a caravan had parked overnight and hadn't signed into the site. I wonder if he paid?
