Very clean and tidy site. The pitches are on level ground and there is also hardstanding for when wet. The washrooms are of a good size and there is also a small information hut which has lots of info on where to go and where to eat. Great fishing lake on site which is well stocked. Although you have to pay for fishing as an extra. Electricity is by meter reading and for 3 day 2 night stay it worked out at £6 ( it was chilly and we did have the heating on)The lady who runs the site is very pleasant and very helpful. There is a very nice walk through the site and down to a woodland area. The only downside for us was the noise from the sugar beat lorries and you have to drive to local shops or pub.

What a great site! We were given a very friendly welcome by the site warden and given good information about where things were. On site there is a fishing pond and also a private woodland walk. The facilities were spotless and the shower areas were the best I've seen. Dish washing facilities are a bit basic but not a problem. We were also lucky enough to be there during the plum season and were able to buy a huge bag of delicious plums from the site for £2. We were sad that we were only staying one night but would definitely return and spend more time there.

We spent four nights at Woodstock Farm and highly recommend the site. The site is very well cared for, the grass regularly mown and the excellent shower/toilet block kept very clean. It is a very tranquil spacious site which includes a well looked after fishing lake and pleasant woodland walk.
One small improvement would be for the washing up to be housed or at least under cover, hopefully it is in the pipe line. You will receive a very friendly helpful visit at Woodstock Farm.

Stayed here last week and I can honestly say its probably the best site we have been on.
The toilets were spotless, and I mean spotless, with constant hot water for the dish outsides.
Plenty of walks for the dogs, you only have to go outside the gate near the lake and you can walk for miles and miles.
But most of all 'A fantastic fishing lake'.
Oxburgh Hall is only minutes away and this is definitely worth a visit.
YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED

We visited this site at Bank Holiday weekend and it was always very clean and tidy.
The pitch sizes are large
The entrance has been moved since our last visit and seems better than before.
The young lady who runs the site was cleaning early in the morning and even at 10pm she was cleaning the washing up area.
There are extra toilets which have been built since our last visit - They were always clean and well stocked.
Electric is on a meter system so the whole weekend only cost £2. 50 - which proves a lot of campsites overcharge for electric.
There is an area where children can play in safety without annoying other campers.
We will use this site again. We were happy previously but the site has improved.
Thankyou

We have just spent 3 nights on this lovely, well-run, quiet little campsite, having phoned 2 days earlier. As it was early in the season we had plenty of choice of the spacious pitches but I would think early booking would be essential in peak periods as it seems a very popular site according to different friends who have stayed many times.
The site is in a quiet lane and very attractively laid out with shrubs and little fenced in pond and overlooking farm fields. There is a separate hedged and lawned play area for ball games etc far enough away from campers’ vehicles but in full view for the parents. Across the drive from the camping area is a well-used fishing lake safely gated and fenced and although, over the weekend the fishermen where there from dawn ‘til dusk there was no noise or disturbance from their vehicles arriving and departing.
We were greeted on arrival by the owners’ daughter who was very friendly and welcoming and took time to point out all the facilities, farm dog walks and surrounding public footpaths where we could walk our dogs – she also lived on site in a log cabin so was around if needed. Her parents, the site owners, lived in the farmhouse further down the drive.
The spotlessly clean toilets & showers were cleaned daily and had continuous hot water. You pay for your pitch when you leave as your electricity is metered – a much fairer way from our point of view as we have a solar panel and don’t require a hook-up so our stay was only £13. 50 per night with no charge for the dogs either.
A real gem of a site and one we shall certainly be returning to and recommending to our friends.

If there is one site to visit this has to be it. Firstly the owners are the most lovely, friendly people you will ever meet. They always have time to chat and if you have problem they will try and help you sort it out. Now the site. It is down a lane in an ideal location. Immaculately kept with clean facilities, beautiful showers and all in with the price. You pay for your electricity on a meter so you only pay for what you use. If your into fishing then this is your ideal site. Small lake next to caravan field safely behind fence. Lots of different fish so you can fish to your ability.
£7 for two rods and fish all day cant get better than that. There are lots of people who go time and time again and you soon begin to feel like one big happy family. Not many sites can say that. The only word to describe this site is PERFECT

On arrival no warden on site but was told on booking just to pitch anywhere but this proved a little difficult as many pitches had already had cones placed there for other bookings. A nice, clean tidy site. Toilets and showers cleaned daily. Nice woodland walk through the farm and a nice pond if you like fishing. Very quite site but did hear a lot of military aircraft which was a bit noisy. Only about 5 miles to Downham Market which is nice little place to shop with a Morrisons and Tesco supermarket.

A small clean quiet but exposed site with a fishing pond, the electric is on meter and is expensive at 25p per unit/kw, therefore only making it suitable for summer camping when electric usage is low. Prices are Caravan £13, Awning £1, Electric 25p Kw, (all prices are per night in 2012) Fishing £7 dawn till dusk (no part days).
Very quiet out of season, with toilets block and showers being cold as radiators are only set on frost stat. Quite a lot of military aircraft noise taking off from nearby air base, dogs welcome but must be kept on leads.

Management response: The heaters are on sensors- ie. they come on on entry and go off on exit-not on frost setting only as suggested. I would also like to point out some visitor had covered the PIR sensor with toilet paper thus stopping it working.
We have been operating a meter system for several years and this is the first time after 1000's of visitors anyone has found this system unsatisfactory - it is the fairest system for all.
If the visitor who made the review had asked about the heaters I would have willingly checked them out for them |
