I have just come back 13 jun 06 and have two young daughters. The only thing open was the pool. No restaurant, no shop and no bar until july and august. There was in fact no hot water available even the showers were at best luke warm.
Good sized plots but pine cones are large and do look out for them. If renting, we had a 4-5 birth and it was disgusting. And about 25 years old. Our kids called it a zero star cave. Moss on sky light, curtains fell off and the pump turned it self on with no one around. You also had to have one person press the pump on button while another used the tap. Only one girl spoke a little english and we found them less than helpful.
The previous review said it had many shops. There was 1 shop (2 when we left) 3 restaurants and only one stayed open after 7pm. No surf but a very good beach. Lots of bugs and flies though. No kids club, horse riding, archery or any other activities until july and august.

Got to site mid afternoon checked in at very nice office with very helpful staff, and was shown to our pitch on the site. All the pitches on the site are spacious and are mingled in between the trees , which offer some shade, watch out for falling pine cones and large ones at that. The ground was sandy being only a dune away from the beach so longer pegs required . Amenities excellent no shortage of hot water always somebody there cleaning them. The site shop is well stocked and there are a number of small shops in the village for fresh produce etc. Excellent pool complex on site although we spent most days on the beach surfing , the beach is patrolled by CRS Lifeguards who are strict however its for your own good as there are large waves sometimes The holiday was a mixture of sun sea sand surfing and seafood with a good mix of wine from the hundreds of Chateaux in the area. It was such a good holiday that we are going back this year with bikes as there a number of cycle tracks in the area. Bike are a must for this holiday.
