We have just returned from a long weekend at this caravan site. I want to say that it was paradise but I am afraid that's lots of people will want to visit here and we will not be able to get a pitch when we want to! The place is bliss, peace and tranquillity with walks to die for. The owners were amazing, friendly informative and genuinely concerned that you were enjoying yourself.
We took our springer spaniel who is currently fast asleep after all of the amazing walks around the site, there are so many to choose from and each one is an adventure. My 7 year old loved the nature that surrounded us, and after her nature hunt she had filled an A4 page of wildlife she had seen. This is now our favourite site, and we will be returning very soon, that's is assuming that we can get a pitch. ! This place should be everyone's bucket list. Thank you we loved it :-)

We have stayed many times at this wonderful site. It is situated in the picturesque rural Lincolnshire.
There are many walks, all well sign posted and ideal for dog walking, photography, and sketching/painting.
There is plenty of wild life, on this trip it was rabbits, hares boxing in the field, pheasants and was happy to be able to report the return of the owl to its usual nesting box.
The village is only a short drive away, also easy walking distance, and has all you could need, pub, shops chippy and both Indian and Chinese ake away.
The owners Gary and Michelle are very welcoming and informative of the area.
The site is beautifully maintained and the toilet facility is spotlessly clean.
Whether it is a short break or a longer stay (we are back for 2 weeks in June) you will not be disappointed.

Lovely, rural site tucked away at the end of a farm track. Owners made us feel very welcome and provided an information pack filled with leaflets for the surrounding area. Metheringham is within cycling/walking distance while there are loads of others walks starting from the camp site. Also a wide variety of wildlife can be seen close to the campsite including owls. The site is ideally suited for young children as it is away from main roads or through traffic. It is also suited for dog walkers due to the good selection of local walks.

We arrived for RAF Waddington Show weekend and there had previously been lots and lots of rain after a freak storm. The owners Michelle and Gary were very welcoming and explained that the grass had been saturated but managed to locate us in a nice quiet spot which was perfect. The ground was actually well drained considering the deluge the day before so was not a problem.
Gary supplied me with two extra long hook up cables to provide electricity and nothing was too much trouble. Owls were in abundance and great to watch in this tranquil spot. The village was close with all amenities including cash machine! (I forgot my money:)Free range eggs on site.
Waddington show is about 5 miles away and we were ideally placed to arrive early and miss the massive queues at this popular event.
The loo/wash-room was decked out with jubilee bunting which was nice and was spotless.
We will definitely stay there again and pull a trip in to Lincoln on the local train which is in the village.
Overall a great relaxing weekend.

Camped at Barff Farm for one night for a training exercise, in preparation for the National Coast to Coast challenge, so after a walk of 14 miles to get there; we were very happy to be greeted with a lovely welcome, two cups of tea and biscuits!
The site is very well maintained, clean and tidy and fresh water available on the camp site.
The other field was almost full with caravans but nevertheless, it was very quiet and peaceful, with nothing but the sounds of Owls for evening company. The toilet (to say its a shed from the outside) is like walking into your own bathroom and is really clean and tidy. There aren't any showers or hot water, but for our one night; this really didn't matter.
Great walks in the area too!
In addition, Michelle and Gary who run the place are very welcoming and we really appreciated their lovely hospitality. Would definitely stay again!

Just spent a brilliant sunny weekend here. We were greeted by the owners Gary & Michelle who are both friendly and helpful. The well mown and level site is quiet with lovely countryside views. The single toilet is situated in a shed, but don't be put off, it was immaculately clean and more than adequate for our needs, as were the water supply and chemical disposal facility.
The nearby village of Metheringham has a supermarket, at least 2 pubs, takeaways and the very best fish & chips we've had in a long time. Our 7 yr old daughter would have liked a playground (there is one in the village) but Gary & Michelle's willingness to let her help them plant trees and collect eggs from their chickens, well beyond the call of duty, made up for any lack of swings and roundabouts. The sounds from the rehearsal rooms were not intrusive and did nothing to spoil our enjoyment of this rural site. We and our dog enjoyed the excellent and well marked walks through the fields and alongside the well kept banks of the stream. We will certainly be going back before too long.

Enjoyed a brilliant 6 day stay at this lovely site. Good country walks our dog loved it, she wasn't to keen on chickens but didn't bother her too much haha. Love the wildlife which we seen every day,
Had a little hut with toilet and wash basin in which was always nice and clean.
The owners came to meet us as we arrived and they were nice and friendly. They provided us with a welcome pack with different places to visit which was helpful.
We are hoping to go back again in the near future as at £12 a night on electric is great.

We stayed here in between Christmas and new year and were lucky to find an open site. The owners were really very helpful, venturing out in the snow, fog and icy winds to guide us in via torchlight. The site is beautiful, really quiet, away from busy roads and set in a rural farm location with lots of wildlife and walks close by. The site was flat, private and clean, obviously well looked after and pet friendly.
The owners provided us with a helpful welcome pack, with information on local walks, attractions and places to visit. We had electric hook up and water close by, and managed to get a TV signal with our outdoor aerial, despite the winds and bad weather. We were also helped out with a car battery charger when our van failed to start. Nothing was too much trouble.
Although facilities on site were limited due to the time of year, it was perfect for us as we wanted peace and quiet over the winter holiday period. The whole site would be an ideal venue for private parties/group bookings and I would highly recommend the site to other visitors to this unspoilt corner of Lincolnshire.

Nice clean site with a well-grassed field, level and soft, no problem to push in tent pegs. It's fairly remote, so hardly any ambient noise at night.
It's just under 2 miles (25 min walk) to the village, which has a Co-op, a chip shop, and a few pubs. The toilet hut is basic, i.E. No shower, no hot water; but it was clean and homely. Site owner is friendly and helpful.
8 miles from Lincoln, with an hourly train service and buses, this is a good base whence to visit the city; or just to enjoy an easy going countryside walk.

This is a nice flat site, very peaceful, and very small. The owner was very helpful and friendly, she provided lots of information about the local area and services. We stayed just one night so weren't too bothered by the very rudimentary facilities (no shower, one loo in a shed!) although some hot water would have been nice. There is also an excellent selection of books in the 'shed'. We also had the tent site to ourselves the night we stayed.
The owner runs a recording studio, so I can imagine that if you wanted to stay on site during the day this could be a problem, but it didn't bother us. The nearby village of Metheringham offers good shops and pubs and takeaways. There is a restaurant which we tried which was ok. There is also a railway station with a service into Lincoln which could be useful if you don't want to drive. We would consider going back if we want a trip to Lincoln again.
