Please bear in mind, I'm slightly biased as spent many happy holidays here as a child in the caravans. This year, I ventured back to reminisce and camp in the field at the top.
It's such an amazing location and the cliff walking was a delight between Treyarnon and Constantine.
The facilities are beyond basic and perhaps an investment into something more than portakabins would be preferred!
The local shop in Constantine is great and not overpriced which it so easily could be.
Loved my time here and hope to return next year!

A good basic family holiday, really close to the beach so you did not need the car and can pop back the tent for lunch or anything your partner has forgot!
Facilities were basic but clean loved having the showers closer to the beach, you could put the kids in the shower and send the partner to collect the shower gear and car to pop the kids straight in, there where 11 showers and only once we had to wait.
Two portacabin toilets in the field, one old but clean and one new and modern.
The laundry was a god send, and the wardens where really helpful.
The shop in the car park was open till late and most days there was a snack bar in the car park for breakfast baps and lunch snacks.
It really was a holiday we will remember we beached walked had bbqs and went in rock pools.
We were on a budget and Treyarnon allowed us to stay within it as the kids had no choice but to get back to basics and a proper family holiday like we all remember. We could not take our dog but Sindy had a holiday with my mum.
Treyarnon would not be everyones cup of tea but it most certainly was ours and we will return and recommend it to our friends, just hope it does not change as most places do. I think it is like our holidays were in the 70's.

We booked this site as the prices were reasonable for the area. However we discovered you do get what you pay for, the facilities are basic to say the least. There are portaloos in the camping field which are clean but they are portaloos. The shower block was a long walk away about 10 minutes (or 20 minutes with 2 children in tow) It proved almost impossible to shower myself and 2 kids in these showers as they open straight out onto the field and there are no baby facilities what so ever. We ended up buying a paddling pool and bathing them in that at the tent. The field is open but we were put in a spot right in the corner which was by a road, yes a small road but on a corner where drivers felt they had to beep to warn other drivers they were coming, the background noise to our holiday was a constant beeping and revving of engines.

Basic site at low price - pitches not marked out, just advised by warden to try to use perimeter if poss, not EHU so at bottom of sloping field, which was brill when it rained, & boy, did it rain - last straw for our old frame tent, we have a new one for this year - toilets were portakabin in centre of field, old toilet block & washing-up facilities 5 min walk in next field, needed updating , shower block good 7 min walk to front of site, which were £1 coin operated, clean but very basic
Shop was in beach carpark at front of site, a bit pricey but at top of tourer field was a gate to the village & better shop there
Beach was about the best thing about site, great for bodyboarding
Short 20 min walk brought you to St Merryn with a choice of pubs & eateries
NOTE: the brochure & site entrance both stated no Dogs at peak season but this was overlooked as plenty of pets on site & on beach
A decent shower/toilet block in camping field & I would consider going back, but it was a little too basic for tent campers

Both Treyarnon Bay and Constantine Bay are within easy walking distance, beautiful beaches. Lovely site for cliff walking.
The site itself is very basic, the toilet facilities are in a portakabin and when the site is busy they are not always clean. The shower block is quite a walk down the hill but lovely hot water.
The best shop is a short walk being Constantine Bay stores.

Had a great week here with my 2 daughters age 11 and 13. First time we've been anywhere with proper big waves and we all really enjoyed body boarding but some days were so rough the life guards put the red flag up. We had a caravan right at the bottom of the site so a very short walk to the beach and less windy than most. The bay is fantastic with rock pools to explore and rocks to climb and paths above for a short walk in the eve but not much else here, though we did have a jacket potato at the Youth Hostel one lunch time. Best shop a short walk up through the site to Constantine - lovely fresh bread and croissants. Showers pretty basic with no seats and £1 a time but no queues. Site clean and full of well-behaved families so not much disturbance at night. Would go again. No T-mobile coverage but phone box on site.

No bells, no whistle, just a medium-size touring field behind a beach-front car park with statics in front. However, we loved it for the location. What an amazing beach, and the biggest rock pools we've ever seen. Just don't expect the last word in facilities, but be thankful for the location and reasonable price. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I was surprised to find no other review about this site so am submitting this almost 4 years after visiting, so please bear this in mind and that the date shown here for my visit is not quite correct but I could only select 05 or 06. We loved this site and only found it in the C&CC Big sites book and as we were passing we stopped. It was a minute or so from a beautiful curved surfing bay with a pub almost on the beach (food available there). There was a Tardis like shop in the small public car park which coincidentally the site was behind, they sold everything you could need There was also another shop a walk away. There was a lot of statics at front of site and level camp field was at top. Quite a basic site no hook up(even for statics) but the location was so nice we stayed for 3 or 4 days. Bus to Padstow and loads of walks. The area is known as 7 bays for 7 days of which Treyarnon is one. The lady running it and the static owners were very friendly and the atmosphere on site was very nice. The loos in the camping field were basic portakabin type but clean and adequate. Showers were available in the static field. I have to say that it had everything we like in a site and I hope it has stayed the same and not become commercial, we did visit out of high season and I would imagine it would be a very busy beach, at least during the day in high season with surfers.
