Me and my family enjoyed staying at Pixley End. The campsite itself was great, the toilets and shower blocks clean and tidy with another area available with ice packs etc which came in handy during a very hot weekend. The owner was a genuinely helpful chap who went out of his way to help myself when needed. Nice country pub next door for which I enjoyed a pint or two and didn't give any noise issues either. Will definitely return. For one night at £12 for a car & family of 5 was great.

Unexpected stopover last weekend, proved to be an excellent choice, easy access from the road (NO LANES) good facilities on site, showers were clean and close by(no fee).We enjoyed the walks and with the malvern hills within easy reach and the
Town of lLdbury and Hereford very close,we were pleased with our stay.
There is a pub on the site within walking distance which provides hot food ,which we tried one evening and was fine.
We met the owner who was very polite and offered us all the help we needed for the local walks.
We are planning a longer stay next year. In general the site is clean ,pitches are level Toilets and showers were operating properly, access is easy ,there are no shops close by, but we enjoyed our stay.

Just spent another glorious weekend basking in the S/W sunshine at pixley end caravan site. What a pleasure to visit this unpretentious friendly charming site once again. So many sites squeeze you into the minimum amount of space, IE car, hard standing, next to car, caravan etc, I have often felt uncomfortable with the close / UN-private atmosphere of many sites, not so at Pixley end. The hookups are well spaced, and all on grass giving a natural feel to the site. The site makes for a relaxed calm base with witch to explore the outstanding local countryside.
The newly refurbished public house/restaurant the trumpet inn, Is situated roughly 40 yards from the pixley end site, and better than ever with a relaxed child friendly atmosphere with delicious locally produced food. Children are made more than welcome by the friendly landlord and lady.
Places to visit in the area are numerous. Nearby is the old market town of Ledbury; Complete with listed buildings etc (tesco for essentials). Ross on Wye is a 20 min drive away and throughout the summer is full of activity including canoeing the Wye, Music/arts festivals farmers markets etc. We just enjoyed the the Hereford country fair, held just outside Ross, the clay pigeon shooting a personal favourite, with my son enjoying the archery.
On Sunday we enjoyed fishing the Wye at Fown hope, (£4.00 day from local post office) we caught a magnificent 9 pound barbel.
The campsite owner is always friendly with a relaxed attitude,
On site are male and female toilets and showers. Kitchen fridge, freezer. Table/chairs coffee tea making facilities sink and TV.
This is a camp site that I will continue to return to because of the friendly atmosphere unpretentious nonsense and all round relaxing break.

Just spent a week at Pixley End and had a great time, (extended from 3 days). The owner is very friendly and helpful and the site has a very relaxed atmosphere. The pitches are generous and there's plenty of room. Don't be put off by the outside appearance of the shower and toilet facilities, they are luxurious inside! There are numerous good fishing pools nearby, which was the main purpose of the trip. Next door to the site is a lovely old pub, which had good food and is very convenient. Will be returning.

We stayed for a week before the kids summer holidays. Had a great time the site was quiet, spotlessly clean and we had plenty of space. Your pitch is listed on the notice board which means you do not have to wait or contact anyone before setting up. The field slopes a little but we had no problems setting up. The toilets and showers are spotless although you do have to pay £1 for the shower. Weather was good and we enjoyed meals and several beers at the quaint pub at the end of the site. Ideal base for touring the area and will visit again.

Just returned from this campsite. It was a nice position for visiting surrounding area i.E. Ledbury, Ross-on-wye and Hereford.
Owner was extremely helpful and friendly and the location of your pitch is on the notice board by the gate.
We enjoyed our stay here, the facilities are as described by others. They are clean but the ground outside was muddy and the grass paddled into the shower rooms, this cannot be helped but would have been better if there were mops to give the floor a quick clean first. These would be better if rebuilt into a new shower block with more showers.
The pub next to the site was closed for refurbishment, but the one down the road at Tarrington was excellent.

As has been said before the location of your pitch is on the notice board by the gate and payment is made the following day. We enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are as described by others. We paid £26 per night which we thought was a bit steep. Another minus was the pub is closed because it is being refurbished.
A good site if you are struggling to get on last minute - there were vacant pitches Bank Holiday weekend

A very pleasant site indeed! We've just returned from a lovely few days away. The site is a sun-trap and an ideal place to top up your tan! Upon arrival you stop at a gate and check the notice board to find out where your pitch is allocated. A nice touch I thought and it certainly saves any pressure of booking in and helps you to set up in your own time and start your relaxing break! The owner came round the following day to collect the remaining site fee, so you certainly don't feel like anybody is hounding you for payment! There's also plenty of space and you certainly don't feel like sardines! There are plenty of electric hook-up and water points and the owner is very friendly and approachable with any concerns or queries you may have. There are 2 showers, which have plenty of room and also a toilet in both. There's also a separate toilet block which is kept very clean. The only time it became grubby was because the field had recently been cut and other campers had walked in the grass rather than knock it off their feet! Nearby is Ledbury, a lovely town and also close by is Hereford, Ross-on-Wye and the Malvern Hills. It makes an ideal base to visit nearby areas and attractions. Well certainly be returning again!

What a lovely site. Although the shower blocks don't look much from outside they are very nice. A touch I was particularly taken with was the 'camping hut' containing fridge, microwave, washing up facilities, toaster, kettle etc. The site was a bit sloping but the pitches (on the whole) where level On the downside, the road nearby was a little noisy at times We had a lovely meal at the Trumpet pub. Nearby Ledbury is a lovely town - very cheap parking, and interesting houses and museums FREE! I recommend the Thursday evening ghost walk - great fun
