A neat little site with its own fishing lake which, although we don't fish, provided a nice view.
It is close to the road and traffic noise seemed intusive.
The owners seem very laid back and we eventually had to track them down to pay. We were charged £15-00 per night.
Pitches are very close together with only six feet between caravans (cars had to park crosswise at the end of the van) and it felt uncomfortably cramped.
Didn't use any local restaurants, or the shower block, as we are pretty much self sufficient.
It was very handy for Lincoln but we'll find a different site next time.

We spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed it. We are 2 adults and were attracted by the fact this is an adults only site. Much as we like kids we just fancied a couple of quiet days. The site is quite small and pretty. It's clearly aimed at fishermen with several lakes and whilst we don't fish ourselves we enjoyed the layout and scenery at the site.
The site is secure with a gate which is locked at night and we felt safe whilst there. The lady and gent who run it were helpful and friendly. We paid £11 per night. We didn't use EHU so don't know if that would be extra, our price was broken down as £5 for our tent and £3 for each person.
The toilet block was basic and clean and perfectly adequate. The water heater in the gents was broken and seemed to be leaking onto the floor so we guess someone could slip if not careful, not a problem for us but you just have to be aware.
The cafe in the garden centre across the road does a great cooked breakfast with 10 items and a cup of tea for £4.50! Superb value. The Pride of Lincoln pub is across the busy road adjacent to the site. It does 2 OK meals for £10 but sadly no real ale.
Lincoln is an easy drive away and is a favourite with us and well worth a look for anyone who hasn't been. Our pitch was right next to the busy main road and it's quite noisy at all times. It didn't bother us and we were in a tent so presumably anyone in a caravan would hear it less. If a problem for you we guess you could ask for a pitch further away from it.
In summary a nice site in a good rural location. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back.

Spent 2 nights here with a view to visiting Lincoln. The site was lovely and we were pitched next to the lake. Staff were very helpful even as far as helping me push caravan into place.
Toilet/Shower facilities were adequate and clean. This is a great small campsite to relax. Pub across road seems closer than it is and is a walk down a scary road best to take car. When there food was excellent and can't complain at 2 meals for £10.
We don't fish but the lake seemed popular and well stocked. Hope to come back in the near future.

Spent 2 nights here in small motorhome, late November 2009, using the site as a base for sightseeing in Lincoln. Very easy to find, good access and open all year. Nice friendly welcome from the owner who was a mine of useful local information.
The Pride of Lincoln pub and the garden centre (with farm shop) are within very short walking distance even for a pair of OAPs!
The toilet / shower block is small and basic but clean. Only one Ladies toilet cubicle (the Gents had more). Only one shower cubicle (unisex) with electric shower unit. No heating in the shower room (which is a bit daunting on a freezing late November morning) but you get a lovely hot shower once you're under!
This site is excellent value for money (we paid £12/night which included electric hook-up). We would certainly go back there.

After a two night stay in June we went back for another four nights in july. It is a small but friendly place we were pitched right next to the lake which did mask some of the noise from the A46. Facilities were basic but clean secure site with gate locked at night. Nice garden centre over road with a lovely butchers for bbq's and a good cafe that does a full English for under a fiver! Pub is five mins over the A46 two meals for a tenner which was quite reasonable and beer cheap. If you are a walker or have a dog recommend you visit whisby nature reserve. Onsite its nice to relax and watch the fishermen. Ideal base for Lincoln and surrounding areas. Will return for another chilled weekend.

Small but lovely campsite just off A46. In fact the A46 is the only downfall as it is busy road. The campsite itself is a haven off the road and ideal for families and fishermen alike. Basic but clean. Electric shower in the toilet block. Electric hook up is available if required. Run by a friendly couple and reasonably priced. Close enough for the delights of Lincoln and not far from Newark. Doddington Hall is close by as is Whisby Nature Reserve. Excellent site for camping for a few days break.

A perfect site for fishermen! We don't, but still enjoyed our stay.
The owners are helpful, and it's a very relaxing place to rest. There is a barrier gate which is locked late evening, around 10pm. No local facilities, shops, pubs etc, so you must drive to get anywhere. We paid 12 pounds per night, two adults, two children, no awning, including electricity.
The toilet blocks were immaculate, although the shower was very temperamental.

I stayed here with my family for a night on the August Bank Holiday. I wasn't sure what to expect as it was a fairly cheap site but I was very pleasantly surprised. It is only a small site with about 20 caravans but some of the pitches look out over the small fishing lake. It is only about 5 miles from the Centre of Lincoln, there is a nice family friendly pub just a 5 minute walk away. Dogs are allowed but the prefer it if you walk them along the public footpath to the side of the site. Electric hookup was available along with a small toilet block and shower which was well kept. This is a site I would return to again and I would recommend to those who prefer a nice quiet evening.

We generally go away touring every weekend and suggested to the OH that we should submit a fair and general review of sites visited each week for the benefit of anybody viewing the reviews to see what its like and so here goes with this site. The site is very easily found from the main road network ie no narrow country lanes. The access is very good from the road way and once sited you will found it to be a little haven of peace and tranquility with the lovely lakeside setting and quite a small site but still got all the necessary ticks in the boxe`s. The owners are very pleasant and once welcomed on site they leave you to do your own thing which is a nice feeling instead of on some sites you feel as though big brother is watching you.Plenty of local attractions in the way of a very large garden centre opposite and several local eateries and with lincoln close by. All in all a very relaxing weekend and looking forward to going back.
