Stayed over August bank holiday. On arrival we noticed how crowded the site was with very little organised pitch management.
The sign on the site office said 'Couples and families only' but we soon discovered that this was not the case with a large number of both male and female campers out to party.
Eventually found a pitch although a lot of EHUs pitches were taken by tents!
There was a huge amount of noise on the site with car stereos blaring late into the night which was disappointing.
This site is in a great location and really needs to set some enforceable site rules or we, and others we suspect, will not be back.

Have stayed here twice, it is a basic campsite really, pretty much a field on a farm with a 'portable cabin' style toilet/shower block.
The first time (last year) was bank holiday week, it was very busy, seemed to be a pitch where you like & if you got an EHU you were lucky.
There were some inconsiderates who were too loud too late, but the site owner sorted them out, eventually.
When it was busy the toilet/shower block didn't seem to be kept very clean. Mainly because of other inconsiderate campers. But the owners should, in my opinion, keep on top of it more during busy times.
If you stay here you do have use of the sister sites' facilities, to which there is a 10-15 minute or so walk. When I stayed here this year we were the only ones on the site all week! Big difference to last year!
It is a pleasant site, but it is what it is, a farm. Personally I wouldn't take kids to stay here, as without having to go somewhere there is nothing for them to do. But all in all a good campsite.

Looked at this site on a previous visit whilst staying in a caravan on a neighbouring site was initially impressed and was told for our tent it would be £20 per night on EHU. We went ahead and called to book a pitch was told pay on arrival so no problems there. On arrival the site seemed very busy and not many pitches left but were a few people packing away but weren`t rushing to do so even though it was after 11am. We went to the new reception and were then told it was going to be £25 per night so was not overly impressed with the extra cost, but after travelling a fair distance paid the extra and pitched our tent.
Most of the pitches were level but not marked out. There were plenty of EHU but you could pretty much pitch where you wanted to even if you weren`t on electric which caused problems later in the week for people who had booked electric pitches. On first appearance facilities looked great but on further inspection over the whole week there was no toilet roll whatsoever even after several requests no action was taken. The showers were ok due to some nice weather refreshing but barely warm and the shower tray leaked all over the floor so not great. Found the cleanliness poor, main area was mopped once every day cubicles in the gents were pretty much filthy mainly due to fellow campers and the ladies weren`t much better so my partner told me. Also beware of the managers dog which was running around loose.

While this is a nice site, it can get very busy. The shower block is not the best and it is not cleaned on a regular basis. Location is good, you are five min walk to the beach and all the arcades. There is also fish and chips shop and bingo. The road down to it all is narrow and can get busy you just need to be careful. It is a five min drive into Barmouth where there are a variety of shops and cafes and a market on a Thursday and a Sunday
