Booked this site late notice, just needed to retire for the weekend and recharge
The site was very well sign posted from main roads
The wardens where very helpful and walked me to me pitch on the site
The site was very well maintained and on the whole was a pleasure to stay in
There were lots of dogs around and as a dog lover myself was good to see
The area was great whilst the kids went of to the swimming pool nearby the wife and I could enjoy a quite walk
The shopping in the town was also great for a little retail therapy
All I can say is if you are thinking about it then try it you will not be disappointed (honest )
I will be returning at some point this year

Visited this site for a week, just arrived home yesterday.
The site has a 12 month licence, the toilets clean and warm the site warden is helpful and always gives a smile and says good morning as does his wife. Small games room and play area for kids excellent for the size of the site all facilities clean and warm never had to line up for showers or anything. Tents can pitch on the grass in the centre of the site probably a bit too close to caravans at times.
Even though kids ran around early evening and noise from tents was fairly loud, by 2200 no noise could be heard, very well behaved campers.
Kingdom Shopping centre only five mins by car Pitteuchar shop easy walking distance.
Generally very well kept and well run site. Will definitely be back

When driving into this park, you drive through an industrial estate, however, the site is surrounded by very large conifer trees and you are totally secluded. We had a brilliant long weekend at this site and found that the owners, staff and residential caravan owners were all very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The facilities within the site were clean and tidy. There was an abundance of places to visit from this location, such as Kirkcaldy a short 10 min drive, historic St Andrews 30 mins drive and Edinburgh just across the forth bridge. An excellent base for checking out fife and the surrounding areas. Would definitely visit this site again.

What can we say. Excellent quiet site, well signposted so very easy to find.
Met on arrival by the lovely 'wardens' who were both very friendly and welcoming.
Had a choice of pitches and as the one we selected had a slight slope, the warden very kindly lent us levelling blocks and even delivered a pint of milk to us in the morning.
Although small, the site is immaculate and very well laid out and obviously maintained to an extremely high standard.
The shower/toilet block by the pitches were warm and clean.
Washing up area and waste disposal area both very clean and loads of very hot water.
Will definitely be back - had booked but sadly had to cancel.
Cant recommend this site highly enough - was great in every respect.

A truly fantastic camp site with first class facilities, friendly staff and caravan owners. Tent pitches were in excellent condition and this site thoroughly deserves its 5 star award. Toilet/shower facilities were immaculate with heated rooms and simply the best I have seen to date. Will certainly visit again. Great location for touring Fife but do need to drive everywhere as not much immediately near to site. Any queries about shops, takeaways or days out and the staff are always willing to advise.

My friend and I came to this site for a few days camping holiday, The site itself was great, facilities were great, toilet block very clean and well stocked, drinking water and rubbish bins were close to where we were camping. Always someone at the reception on site for information etc.
Location of site was excellent, 5-10 minutes from A92, shops in glenrothes was no more than 5 minute drive away, leisure centre was virtually across the road.
Would recommend site to others.

We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children and we stayed here for one wk in our tent.
The site itself is quite small but lovely and quiet, has all the amenities you need including showers etc and laundry facilities, you can even freeze your ice packs. There is a small basic shop and you can order bread papers etc.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, could not fault them. The site is within Glenrothes and the supermarket and is near to all the main roads and towns and coast( Edinburgh 35 miles away)
The only very small downside was that the childrens play park was a bit sparse, maybe could do with a slide / climbing frame / sandpit etc.
We all loved this site and are going back in Oct!

We had found it very hard to find an appropriate site close to my husband's workplace in Rosyth but this seemed to fit the bill. The reviews spoke highly of it. We stayed in late August from a Tuesday to a Sunday. Our tent is a big 8 berth tunnel with a sun porch so at least 4m x 7m.
Kingdom Campsite is clearly a place that thinks very highly of itself and, in many ways, they deserve to. The communal facilities and vehicular access are excellent, the spacious tent pitches are well drained and the grass is kept short, the lay out is well signposted and obviously has the safety of younger guests in mind. They have a retained handy man who keeps the place tidy.
It is also very good value. We paid just £50 ('for cash') for the whole stay but could have paid extra for piped water and power (where's the adventure in that?!). For such a small site they seem to have big plans and my husband remarked that before long it will probably be all 'statics'. These are very lucrative and we all became puritanical campers in the face of these big, expensive, you-might-as-well-stay-at-home constructions of which there are many at Kingdom.
Sadly, for all it's benefits, we would not go back to Kingdom. It lacks that special something, possibly to do with its proximity to Glenrothes and the fact that the layout is more like a dormitory than a hotel with secluded spaces. It now backs onto a building site and is sited next to a family who love very noisy, powerful cars. It sits next to the Kinglassie Road and - seriously - the road noise from there was non stop with what can only be described as car and motorbike races happening with impunity from early evening right through to the small hours every day.
Although the welcome from Graham the warden was brilliant, the actual owner was not pleasant, but she managed a smile towards the end and was gracious when our son misbehaved very badly.
Another down side is the location. You would be fine accessing it off the A92 going away from Edinburgh (look for brown Scottish Tourism Board signs) but we drove into Glenrothes. If you go to Glenrothes be prepared for endless roundabouts! If you get lost look for signs to the Adam Smith College. Graham is still available on their main number after office hours.
After a long, long journey from Plymouth we got badly lost but called Graham and he came and got us to follow him back to the site. He even gave us a couple of bottles of chilled beer and said there was no need to pay until the morning. Unfortunately, when we went along the following morning, we had a gruff reception from the owner who insisted we must pay in cash only which left us scurrying into an unfamiliar town for a cashpoint. One thing that got my hackles up even before we arrived was that we were offered no written booking confirmation.
As for the laundry facilities, prepare to offer your right arm in payment. It's £1. 00 per 30 minutes - a lot if you are washing and drying a week's worth of family laundry plus bedding. Change is not terribly available and the machines take only £1. 00 and 20p coins - a real pain in the neck. However, the ironing facilities are free and if, like me, you can rig up a washing line, the fresh air even free-er still! Had we wanted to re-freeze any ice blocks this would have cost 50p per block.
The chemical toilet disposal is very good with plenty of roasting hot water to rinse, likewise the washing up room which is part of each amenities building. Drinking water taps are within easy reach. Our pitch was grassed over. But only for cosmetic purposes! Our rock pegs met their match on the gravelly foundations.
As for surrounding attractions, Glenrothes is a pretty plain town but has all the shopping you'd need. I shopped at the Co-Op in the Kingdom Centre. There are some lovely delicatessans in there! I found an ancient launderette at the Glenwood Centre. There is also a Morissons. For kids, try the Kingdom of Fun (off the A92) or the very good Deep Sea World (below the Forth Bridges which themselves should be appreciated by tourists as a marvellous feat of engineering). My son and I walked through the car park and gardens of the Queensferry Hotel to access the official viewing point.
The nearest train station is 'Glenrothes with Thornton'. Three of us travelled into Edinburgh for less than £20 - very good, but then we found Scotland was excellent value all round.
So, while we won't be going back to Kingdom campsite we wish them well in any future plans but would ask the English owner to kindle a little gaelic warmth.

Excellent site just outside Glenrothes, nice pitches and really clean well maintained toilet and shower blocks. Booking in was an absolute pleasure with one of the warmest welcomes i have received from a campsite, we arrived around 7 p.m and the reception door was locked within moments several people ( turns out they were seasonals ) had enquired if we were being attended to, when the young girl came she couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant.
Just as we were leaving, we were approached by the owner who introduced himself and apologised for not meeting us earlier , very friendly site. As mentioned the showers are very clean and very large, plenty room to dry yourself, The Kingdom centre is about 20-25 mins walk away but apparently there are shops much closer so just ask reception. All in a really nice wee site that we will be returning to.

Lovely friendly new site with excellent facilities hidden away from the nearby town of Glenrothes but only a few minutes away from all the local amenities. Shops, swimming pool, golf, good road connections for exploring all over Fife and beyond. Dundee, Perth, Stirling, St Andrews and Edinburgh all within easy driving distance [40 minutes or less]. Ideal base camp for enjoying the whole area.
