This is the first time I visited this site with my own caravan, the pitches are well sized and easy to get into, I had a pitch next to the river and my only complaint is the amount of cover from the trees and the tree sap deposited on the pitches next to the river.
The site is lovely and quiet, and although the A383 is close it's not a nuisance
The shower block is looking it's age, but the showers are hot and the block itself warm
The staff are friendly and very helpful.
We've booked again for next year as it's close to all the places you'd want to visit when you're down that way.

Handy site just off the A38 and as others have commented clean, quiet and right by a stream and pub. Good hot shower and washing machines etc. Used the pub which is mainly food orientated from quite an extensive menu, couple of local real ales on and you weren't kept waiting long by the busy staff.
Very reasonable rates paid £12/night for one with ehu and TV point. Barrier system wasn't in use during my visit and was permanently up.
For those not wishing to drive anywhere there is a bus service to Newton Abbot and beyond along the main road.

We booked this site for a long weekend over half term via their website. By chance, I phoned the site two weeks prior to arriving to confirm the booking as I had not received any confirmation. I was told that the booking had not gone through as the website was not working properly. So had to rebook over the phone.
First impressions count, and on arriving at this site, the manager in the bar was not very helpful and left us to take a food order from an other customer. We were then dealt with by an alternative member of bar staff. We was told our plot number then had to leave a £20 deposit for the barrier swipe card. We had reserved a superior pitch which had its own water, drain and refuse point. The rubbish bins were overflowing and was not emptied during our stay.
The site, however is very pleasant and small. The toilet block contained one shower and two toilets for each sex. One of the toilets in the male side was blocked for the duration of our stay, whilst the toilet roll in the other was not replenished. The toilet block was heated and remained clean.
The pub was noisy at night time and you had to listen to the thumping beat of music til midnight each night. Not very helpful if you have young children trying to sleep. The pitches and site is nice but let down by the lack off refuse collection and toilet block upkeep. From looking at the other units on the site, it appears that the majority are long term stayers who just use it for weekends.
Whilst here we visited Becky Falls and completed a Dartmoor Treasure Trail, both of which are recommended.

Stayed here for 10 days. Lovely quiet site.
Toilets kept clean, site very tidy which is along side the River Lemon giving plenty of wildlife to view including kingdishers, weasels & small deer.
The site is situated behind the pub,we were postioned on the first pitch and expected noise from the pub but heard nothing - very peaceful. The pub serves very nice meals - good selection of beers as well.Staff are all very friendly.
The pitches are of good size,we stopped on a super pitch which included the chemical waste.
The super pitches are tight to get into with a twin axle.(might be me as unit is long as I'm pulling it with a L200).
Overall very good clean site that would recommend to anyone.

We stayed at this site for one night in February and found it to be very pleasant. The pitch was a good size, plenty of room for our 23ft caravan and vauxhall vivaro. The facilities were very good, toilets were clean and cosy which pleased my 2 daughters who hate cold loos and spiders ha ha!
This is a very small site so whatever pitch you have you are very close to the loos and laundry room. The pub is a stone's throw away and serves up lovely grub at a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pub also had a nice little play area for the kiddies. It was so peaceful and relaxed here we would have loved to have stayed longer but had only come down this way to clean up a caravan we had for sale on a seasonal site near Exeter.
We would definitely return at some point and would like to thank the staff for a short but sweet stay. Big thanks from the Szwemins.

We went to this site for a quick break after the holidays and were expecting a bit of scrub land behind the pub and were very pleased with what we found, it was clean, well laid out and very pretty with the stream behind us. The pub was warm and welcoming and dog friendly in the large bar area. We found the staff very friendly and we felt at home right away. The second time we went in they remembered what we drank which made us feel welcome. It is a site we will return to and would have no hesitation recommending it to our friends

We visit this site on a regular basis.I work four days on four days off so this site is a very handy local rest area for me There are 22 hardstand pitches and bed and breakfast is available at the pub The site is central for trips to exeter, plymouth torbay and is on the edge of dartmoor, local shops are in ashburton which is four miles away. The pub serves good quality meals at reasonable prices and has a beer garden and small childrens play area, there is also a grassed area at the end of the site where children could play.Tv reception is from the pub sky system wired to each pitch. Entry to the site is through the pub car parkvia a security barrier with a £10 refundable deposit there is also a small toilet/shower block with a laundry and a dog shower! Nightly prices are around £13
