Had a lovely weekend at this small friendly site.
Pros:
Isolated, right beside Gortin Forest, beautiful walks, loads to explore. Can't wait to go back, so much more to see.
It's in the mountains - scenery all around the site is beautiful
Excellent drainage in tent area (bring extra pegs, we bent a few trying to get them through the layer of stones). We had heavy rain and no puddles. Ground dry very quickly.
Play area with pool, table tennis, tv, soft play area for small kids, park - kids well occupied in rain.
Facilities excellent and clean.
Owner very friendly and helpful.
Cheap -£12 a night.
Cons.
Isolated -nearest shop 3 miles away
If it was busy you could end up quite far away from your car.
Its in the mountains, its cold (remember extra blankets).

Site is situated very close to the forest park allowing easy access for walking or cycling.
The pitches are all hard standing all with electric and within easy access to water points. You pick your own pitch in general and pay Henry (the owner) when he visits during the day. Henry always takes time to chat and make you feel welcome.
Gortin is 3 miles away and Omagh about 6 miles in the opposite direction. In Omagh there is a large Asda as well as the usual McDonalds, KFC, etc. Gortin on the other hand is only a village but well worth the visit.

Great place and very peaceful, level tarmac pitches in a nice forest area. It's 3 miles to the nearest shop towards Omagh and Gortin town is 3 miles in the other direction. Nice little play area for the kids and Toilets and showers were very clean,
When I stayed the weather was fantastic but if wet there is a children's play room and games room with pool table and table tennis, This place is great value for money and I will definitely be back.

We have just left this site and we visited on the recommendation of friends. It is truly a gem of a place. Beautiful tranquil location. The site is spotlessly clean.
Toilets and showers are clean. Well laid out site and perfect for cycling and walks. Our children loved it and the owners were friendly and well informed about attractions in the area. Beautiful area, lovely time.

We loved this site - surrounded by trees but with all the modern necessities:-
Hard Standing, hedged individual sites. Electricity onsite and water taps close by.
Large facilities block with individual showers, hot water for dishes (under chalet roof shelter, lovely ladies toilet block with mirrors and seating.
There is a large games room with TV, table tennis and billiards.
A 5 minute walk takes you direct to the Sperrin walkway - with babbling brook and lovely paths.
Very friendly helpful owners can also assist with where to find good restaurants etc.
Handy for visiting the Ulster American Folk Park and the Centre for Migration Studies - if you want to trace your Irish roots.
Also near to Woodview Garden Centre with its Coffee Bar, Craft Shop and Land of Little Animals.
Don't miss the Forest Drive - entrance approx 1/2 mile from the site.
There is something about this site which makes everyone friendlier. We were from Scotland, others were from places like Cumbria, Cotswolds, Donegal and Lincoln and Holland. Oh and the night before we left 2 French back packing guys wandered in - from the Paris suburbs - we could try out our French on them.
We cannot wait to go back.

All level tarmac pitches. Peaceful site sheltered by trees and each pitch surrounded by hedges, which can be a problem when the dreaded midge is around. Toilet and washing facilities are good. There is a small play area for children.
Gortin Glen forest Park on the doorstep for walking and cycling.
The nearest shops, pubs or cafes are either four miles north to Gortin village or six miles south to Omagh, the county town of Tyrone.
A good base for touring the Sperrin Mountains.
