Can only echo what has already been written by other reviewers. Lovely site, ideally located off a major route to Le Mans. Swimming pool was heated an absolutely immaculately kept, despite the nearby trees starting to shed their leaves. Just what was needed after a long journey. All facilities were 1st class. The village itself is not very big but there are a number of large supermarkets within a few miles. There are two bakeries in the village and a newsagents. Would most definitely use this site again.

Stayed here for 1 night as a stop off on our first trip to France.
Friendly owner, who we managed to communicate with despite our lack of French language skills. Well sign posted from main road and easy to find. Site has a barrier which we paid a 20Euro deposit for a pass card. This was paid back when we left.
We picked our own pitch. Site was not busy despite it being August. Good size pitches with shrubs and trees planted as dividers.
Small swimming pool, ok for small children. It looked brand new and very clean.
Toilet block also looked quite new. Very clean. Separate male/female toilets and showers. No toilet seats, but plenty of paper and wash hand basins. Lovely hot showers with plenty of space. We paid approx 35 Euros for the pitch for 2 adults, a 15 yr old and 12 yr old. This is a little pricey, but worth it for the cleanliness and standard of the facilities.
Didn't visit the local village due to time contraints. Found a Lidl not far away.
Centre of Le Mans about 4km. Lovely centre with old buildings and a big square with lots of restaurants. Was glad we explored here as I didn't realise it was like that. Also found our way to the race track for my husband to see it. A family ticket to enter the track was 7 Euros. There is also a museum at extra cost if time is available.
Would use this site again as a stop off, or for a couple of nights to further see the local area.

We used this site for an overnight on the way (and back) to the Bordeaux area. It is a clean site with level pitches. They speak a smattering of English at reception and were welcoming. They left us to select our own pitch. The toilet block is modern and immaculate it also has a washing up room, useful if you are camping 'lite' as we were. The toilets are also separated from the showers which is a nice feature. The swimming pool is small but a really nice feature for the children who were on the campsite, or for a dip if it was hot. It is fenced and kept clean, with a shoe rack at the entrance. There is a communal room where there are a couple of gaming machines and a snooker table. They do snack meals but we didn't use this. The local town is small and typically French which is good for a stroll after a long journey in the car. We didn't see any restaurants but only walked the main street so there may have been elsewhere.
Le Mans is a short drive away and is worth a trip. The old town is fantastic. There is also a huge Carrefour which sells fresh milk, a rarity in France. We would definitely use the campsite again. It is popular with Motor homes which have specific pitches but there was an equal mix of caravans and tents when we were there.

We - 2 adults in touring caravan, stated one night here en route for Calais. I endorse everything that 'Noodle' the previous reviewer says about this site. The pool is small but heated. The toilets, showers and bathrooms are modern and clean with automatic lighting. They are also heated which is very welcome early morning and late evenings in September. I will add that the site is easy to find and has good access off decent roads. The couple who own/manage the site are very friendly and helpful. I'll also mention the price. On 17 Sept 2010 we paid 13.44 euros for one night. Can't be bad can it?

We spent a very pleasant three nights at Le Pont Romain, extending our originally planned stay of one or two nights because it is such a pleasant site in a great location.
The site was quiet when were there in mid-August and our children generally had the pool area to themselves. Whilst the pool isn't large it is perfectly suitable for a site of this size and it is heated to a pleasant temperature. There is also a large baby/wading pool.
The whole site is spotlessly clean and the facilities are excellent, ample and look brand-new. The playground is large and modern and offers excitement for both younger and older children.
The reception shop range is very limited, but there are shops within easy reach. There is no bread delivery in the mornings, but the boulangerie in Yvre L'Eveque is a pleasant 5-10 minute walk away (we just cycled there).
The location of the campsite is very peaceful and there is a stunning Roman bridge directly adjacent, with beautiful riverbanks with picnic benches etc. Don't miss the medieval centre Le Mans - we had never seen anything quite like it, with (cobbled) street after street of beautifully preserved medieval houses to explore and marvel at.

I would highly recommend this campsite. We stayed here during the 2010 le Mans 24 heure race.
The campsite is very good and very clean. The campsite is small and has a shower block, toilet block, area for laundry and another area for washing dishes. No cars are allowed to drive into the camp site after 10pm but can park outside if you are back late. This is good as it keeps the noise level down.
We were due to arrive at 8pm but could not get there due to delays in Paris and the owners waited for us until we arrived at 10pm which was great.
There is a small swimming pool on-site and a games room with a TV, pool table and soccer table. There is also a children's playground and a crazy golf course. The 'shop' in the reception area has very limited items but there are plenty of big supermarkets around.
We stayed in a pre-erected tent which had a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. It was quite spacious and included a fridge, cooker, Microwave, kettle etc - everything you could need. There were also chalets that you could hire.

This little gem of a site is situated literally 5 minutes from junction 23 of the A28, south west of Le Mans. It's only been open since June '07 and if the owners keep up with their relentless cleaning, it will continue to look new for years to come. The husband & wife team speak very little English but we managed to communicate with schoolboy French & hand signals! In keeping with the rest of the site, the shower & toilet block is spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. The toilets are in a separate room to the showers/washbasins. The only grumble is the toilets don't have seats, except the one in the disabled cubicle. There are pitches for motorhomes with electric, water & drainage; hardstanding pitches for tourers, also with electric, water & drainage; plus grass pitches for tourers & tents, all with electric. At the far end of the site, there are 6 log cabins & 3 static vans for hire. The outdoor swimming pool, which is adjacent to the shower & toilet block, is on the small side but is heated and ideal to unwind in after a long drive through France. You have to leave a 5 euro deposit for a wrist band before use of the pool. A deposit is also required for a pass card to allow entry into the site. These are both required at check-in. There isn't any entertainment on this site but there is a games room with a pool table, bar football, electronic darts board & pinball machine; just enough to keep the kids amused for an hour or two.pending funds. When the euros run out, there is a modern playground to keep the kids amused. There are basic groceries available in reception, as are ice creams which are very reasonably priced. The nearby village of Yvre-l'Eveque is within walking distance, and has plenty of various shops, including a small supermarket, bakery & bank (with cash point outside). The larger (huge) Leclerc hypermarket is roughly 10 minutes drive away. I cannot recommend this site highly enough. My only regret was only staying for 2 nights.
