Facilities very clean. Reasonable sized pitches. Staff helpful & friendly. However check beforehand to make sure there are no rallies booked in during your stay as these can be VERY noisy. Wi-fi claimed to be available all over site is expensive and unreliable. If you like cycling, it is a reasonable ride into the nearby town / village of Chattaillon. However there is not much else in the area except mudflats and mussell / oyster beds. St Rochelle 10 miles to North is very attractive and well worth visiting, but would not recommend this site as base for touring. Immediate area dull, few cafes, and is the most boring & disappointing part of France we have visited in 35 years of visiting France.

We used this site for 3 nights in June 2007. It is part of the ACSI scheme and it cost us 14 Euros per night, which was a saving of over 4 Euros per night.
Pitches are not very big, but big enough, although bigger RV's would have a problem I think. On arrival we were asked whether we wanted a sunny or shady pitch, we were then allocated a pitch and escorted there. Sunny pitches are near the bottom of the site, with less trees.
Facilities were very clean, but not in an enclosed building. Whilst we were there, it was rather cold for June and although the water was hot, because of the temperatures outside, it wasn't that warm having showers! Of course, in hot weather that would not be a problem.
The owners are very friendly, it is run by a French couple and their son and daughter-in-law, who is Dutch. Both the son and his wife speak excellent English and are extremely helpful.
There is an outdoor swimming pool on site, which we didn't use, as it was far too cold!
There is also a bar and snack-bar, neither seemed to be open at the time of our visit, perhaps it only opens in July/August. Just across the road from the site is a snack-bar, which sells frites though. Our neighbour's sons went there to get some to go with their BBQ and enjoyed them, we didn't try them for ourselves though, so can't comment on the quality of those! Handy to have nearby though.
The area is great for cycling, the nearest village is Chatelaillon Plage, and it is a lovely village. You can get there by walking or cycling along the beach or via the marked cycle route. There are also other marked cycle-routes which take you further. Further afield is La Rochelle, also Ile d'Oleron and Ile de Re.
All in all, I would recommend this site.
