This is perhaps the top site in the area, plenty of level ground, well tended, all facilities, clean, easy distance from the for town, which is one of Ireland's greatest County Towns, attracting a lot of musicians, poets, beauty queens and that ilk. ( For writers, go to Listowel, 30km )
The rose of Tralee was on while we were there all the street entertainment was great firework display good eating places
This is a very popular site with all ages. I found it no more expensive than similar sites. M I was amazed. All that camping on the astounding beaches near Fenit ( 12km ), wood fires, sunsets etc.,

Really good site well laid out caravan club standard.Camper kitchen with fridge and microwave. Games room friendly girl in reception.Found laundry to be a little expensive 6 euro for a wash and the same for a drier.
Didn't use shower as we had our own but they were expensive as another poster said buttenters don't have the choice!
Bit cheaper than other sites at. 21 euro a night.Found all campsites in southern Ireland to be very expensive. Still building going on here but that can't last forever.Took bikes into town.
All on flat a few cycle lanes here and there but the motorists a very. Kind and lets you cross busy roads.Raining again but can't hold that against the site

This is perhaps the top site in the area, plenty of level ground, well tended, all facilities, clean, easy distance from the Aquadome ( excellent pool, family tickets, spend a day but don't buy a lot of food there, ) and very handy for town, which is one of Ireland's greatest County Towns, attracting a lot of musicians, poets, beauty queens and that ilk. ( For writers, go to Listowel, 30km )
This is a very popular site with all ages. I found it no more expensive than similar sites. My teenaged daughter wanted to stay longer. I was amazed. All that camping on the astounding beaches near Fenit ( 12km ), wood fires, sunsets etc., yet she preferred this.
PS: Re other review for July '07: We were there during the annual Builders' Holiday. The whole of Ireland was a building site LAST year.

Stayed for a long weekend at this campsite. While the weather was not the best there was plenty to do with the aquadome, cinema, shops and restaurants, park all within a short walk. We did not use the car at all. The site was clean, staff lovely, great dog walking area.
The site shop could have been better stocked but it was not a problem with so many shops close by.
Will definatly return 9/10

Stayed at this site for two nights while in the area. Very friendly lady on reception, always helpful. Toilet block was very clean and tidy but 2 Euros for a shower for luke warm water we thought was a bit steep. It is on the edge of the town which has lots of places to eat and drink nearby, also lots of shops in the town centre. Would return again if we are in the area

We choose this site as it was a good position for visiting the ring of Kerry area. The site is also very well situated for the town of tralee, which has plenty of things to see and do, for the kids it’s very close for the aqua dome. The site is quite large, it’s well laid out and the pitches are all a good size, flat grass tent pitches easy for pegging down. The drainage on site from the rain was very good considering the amount of rain that had fallen the pitches were very firm and not soggy. For the family size tents the camping area has electric hookup and water available at every pitch there is also an area for those who do not want the electric hook up. From the family size tent area to the main shower / toilets laundry block etc it is quite a walk (it seems it during the night), The area for smaller tents its very close to the amenities as also the caravan/motor homes pitches. The site is well sheltered and pleasantly well laid out for all the users, it was nice and quiet too, the facilities on site were kept clean and tidy. We found both the staff on site to be very friendly and helpful as well as the other campers, certainly a well run site and can see why it has so many awards. W e had planned to. Stay 3 nights BUT in the mornings while we were there a great deal of new building works in and around the area was under way. NO way when on holiday at 8:00am were we going to put up with the banging , drilling and bleeping noises from the building site vehicles etc. What it is the site is only just out of town (or was), and now several hotels and other building are being built in the surrounding area, you do not actually see any of these buildings or works as the site is so well sheltered, but you can certainly hear them between 8000 and 1700 5 days a week. As my partner said why pay to stay on a site only to be disturbed by that noise when on a holiday, might as well camped in the garden at home as it is nice and quiet there. So that is the reason why we only stayed the one day, glad of it in some ways, as we came across a really wonderful campsite which we all really enjoyed. This site woodlands park is a great site, good facilities, great position, but will return in several years time when all the local building works in the area has finished, and by then the site will be surrounded by buildings, but hidden in the woodlands.
