We have just returned from a lovely holiday at Parc Verger, we have a Fifth wheeler and it was great to just pull in and off without any problems. Bob and Di greet you and you have a booklet with so much information detailing everything you need to know, which is so helpful. The facilities are clean and tidy, even the lovely French lady sells her eggs next door. A brilliant site, and we cannot wait to visit again next year.

Very welcoming English owner who showed us the available pitches and left us to choose. There were a lot of enormous motor homes when we were there! The splash pool was very welcome as we were very hot when we arrived! The shower and toilet block was quite small but very clean. We had planned to overnight on our way back but didn't as friends wanted to meet up. A useful overnight stop in. An area that has much of interest, like Oradour sur Glane and Limoges. The walk along the old railway looked interesting but it rained so we didn't try it out.

Booking enquiry about availability dealt with promptly followed by a warm welcome on arrival. Our pitch was ideal being hardstanding, serviced with water, EHU and waste, nice sunny aspect and views over the countryside. I can see why this site appeals to those with larger motorhomes - plenty of space and easy access.
Wifi, although free, was rather erratic, but we were able to send and receive emails with a little patience.
Issued with informative leaflet on arrival - much appreciated since you cannot always take in everything you are told after a long drive. Visited Oradour-sur-Glane, the martyr village, which has been on our must see list for a few years. Other than that the wet weather put paid to further days out so we moved on, sadly.
We felt that the amenities block was rather crowded for such a small space, but since the site was not at full occupancy it was not a great issue this time. Do I really want someone using the urinal while I load my laundry into the washing machine?! Perhaps it is a 'French' thing.

Welcomed on arrival by English owners, we had not booked as we were touring without a plan. Pitches were hardstanding, the whole site was clean and well tended. Facilities for motorhomes were excellent with drive over drains and easy water access.
The amenities block is a little small, but the facilities were immaculate and regularly cleaned.
We used the old railway line footpath to explore and this is a great utility.
We drove to the nearest supermarket (5 minutes) which also has fuel, to re-stock as we stayed longer than planned.
A small simple site, one of those places you feel safe. Great for adults, nothing really for children.

This camp site is probably the best we have ever been to & in a lovely area. We were greeted by Mike (one of the wardens) who showed us around & we were able to choose the site we wanted. We were given a leaflet written by Di about the campsite, places to see & restaurants & markets to visit which we found invaluable.
The pitches are really well laid out & although there are plenty of mature trees around the site no-one had a problem with their satellite signal. The owners have planted fruit trees on a lot of the pitches which were in fruit while we were there much to the delight of our parrot.
We found plenty very good places to eat within a few minutes of the camp & would recommend the fixed price lunch menus that France have to offer to anyone.
We intended to stay a week but stayed 3 weeks, we will definitely be back.

Lovely little site, small wash block (two shower cubicles) but very very clean. Stayed for one night on a stopover into the Dordogne - 43 degrees when we arrived! Not too many eating out opportunities in local area, we found one - OK, but not a lot of choice. Pitches are spacious and level. Access is fine as long as you go the right way, otherwise, the tow through the roads via the nearest village is tight - as we found out!
Would recommend as a 1 to 3 night stop over.

Whilst on holiday in France this year we decided to have a look at the Limousin region as we had never stopped there. I found this site on UK campsites and decided to head for there. We had not booked and intended to stay for 1 night. We actually stayed for 3!
As we pulled up with our car and caravan we were greeted by one of the English site owners. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean and we were made very welcome by the owners and the other guests on the site. There is a small swimming pool but we didn't use it.
We were introduced to one of the french neighbours. We liked the small friendly site. The area has made an impact on us and we will be returning soon. There are lots of chateaus to visit nearby.
You can buy bread from the village bakery and a bread van visits the site. We used the cycle track which is about 100m from the site. This was easy cycling to a nearby town where there was a supermarket with fuel. The views of the countryside were breathtaking.

I fully endorse everything that has been said by other reviewers, but would like to add couple of tips about the surrounding area. There is a very easy cycling route on an old railway line which runs within a couple of hundred metres of the site, joining Chalus and Oradour Sur Vayres, a total of about 15km. The other Oradour worth a visit is Oradour sur Glane, about a 45 minute drive away, northwest of Limoges. This is the village where 640 inhabitants were massacred by the Nazis one June day in 1944. The village has been left just as it was after the massacre - it is a very moving experience to visit this place.

Well I have been greeted in many ways on entering a camp site in France, but 'would you like a cup of tea' was a first for me. The owners Bob & Di greet you and help you to find a suitable pitch explaining wind directions etc to help you.
The site itself is down a quiet side road, and is sign posted from the main road as a 'caravan' site, but they do take tents and motorhomes as well, having quite a number of large hard standings, With plenty of electric hookups all over the site ['WITH NO REVERSE POLARITY' as Bob supervised the installation himself,] its easy to find a suitable spot
The washroom, from the outside looks like an old farm building but don't be deceived as inside it has been converted to a VERY high standard with first class shower and toilet facilities hardwood flooring and fully tiled throughout.
All in all a site I shall be very happy to return to, and something I don't do often give it 9/10

Bob and Di are the lovely Owner/Wardens of this beautiful and serene site set in the Limosin countryside. From the moment you arrive to the time that you wave goodbye you will feel perfectly at home on the fully serviced level gravelled pitches.
The hosts are very friendly and offer a warm welcome, going out of their way to offer help wherever required.
The washrooms and site facilities are excellent and the local village is very friendly. There is a little Bar/Restaurant called Dino's where English is spoken and a small glass of house wine is 1 euro. The pizza is to die for.
I would happily recommend Parc Verger to anyone for long or short stays. Brilliant!
