Wendy and I visited Glyn Farm site again the week after the Bank Holiday weekend, staying on until the Sunday.

We love this site because you can sit of an evening, as the sun goes down and watch the lights in the cottages in the surrounding valley, come on one at a time, with the wood smoke from the fires drifting up through the trees, no one bothers you and you can just sit and chill out.

The owner is a treat to talk to and welcomes us like old friends even though this is only our third visit, he remembered us from the last time, not bad going when you think how many people must visit every year!

The village offers small local shops and a cafe, with the local pub food some of the best in the area. Conway and Bets-y-Coed are both nearby and easy to get to, a great place to stop.

This is the perfect little site in the perfect little location!

Close enough to Conwy (nine miles) to enjoy the delights of the coast, yet far enough to be a stones throw away from the beauty of Snowdonia.

The owner is a delightful man who is happy to help you with anything. As a traditional Welsh farmer, he will chat to you for hours if you let him - and will probably offer you some of his farm's eggs or cider!

The site consists of some private statics and some permanent tourers; with two fields for caravans and tents. There is an adequate; if slightly rustic; toilet and shower block.

The location itself could not be better. The site is on the edge of the Village which has two pubs, a famous woollen mill, a post office, cafe, butchers (with the best pies ever) and a newsagent. Trefriw is full of enchanting walks and a visit to the Fairy Falls must not be missed.

We use this site a lot and whatever you look for, you cant go wrong here. I would fully recommend Glyn Farm and I hope that you become as addicted to this site as we are!

This was our second visit to this site, the pitches are fantastic, the two times we have been we have faced up the valley. During the daytime you can just see the shapes of the cottages on the valley's side and the odd whips of smoke from the chimneys but as the light fades this becomes a fairyland of lights. This valley shape means the camp site is always quiet and there is little or no noise from the road through the village.

There are plenty of toilets and although there is only one shower for each sex, I have never had to wait for a shower. Owner is a lovely Guy who is always helpful and willing to chat.

The walk up from the village of Trefriw to the cafe on Llyn Crafnant is 4. 4 miles each way but be aware it climbs about 200m over the 4. 4 miles (all downhill on the way back though and well worth it for the scone and views)! You can of course drive up but, well it's not quite as rewarding.

The site is handy for Betws-y-Coed, Gwydyr Forest and the rest of the Snowdonian national park as it's on the gateway to it.

We stayed on this lovely site on the May Bank holiday weekend. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The toilet block/showers were clean although there was only one shower in each of the ladies and gents which might be a problem if the site was very busy. The shower wasn't very powerful but adequate for 20p for 3 minutes. It was a fairly quiet site even though there were quite a lot of people there. It is only about 100 yards from the centre of Trefriw which had a couple of shops and 2/3 pubs. We ate at The Fairy where the food was good and value for money. The Ship also has a good reputation with the locals. There are some lovely walks in the area from a stroll into Llanrwst or over the hills and around the lakes where there is a nice cafe. The views from the site are excellent and the site brewed cider is certainly worth trying. We will definitely be going again.

This is a lovely quite small campsite. The owners is really friendly. Beautiful surrounding countryside. Electric hookup and water within easy reach of each pitch, although I think they use another field for tents in the summer, but all would still be within about 20 metres.

On the down side, the washing and toilet facilities need improving. There is 1 ladies shower, at 20p for 3 minutes. Unfortunately, the shower very weak and low - I am only 5ft 5ins, & I couldn't get my head under the shower without bending my knees! There aren't any dish washing facilities.

There are 2 pubs and 2 restaurants within a 10 min walk. I would recommend The Ship for the pub - excellent food and atmosphere.

I would stay here again, but only for a weekend visit, due to the shower situation.
