Stayed for just one night here as a stop over for the ferry at st Malo. This is a lovely site, very clean toilets and showers, love and friendly staff, good size pitch.
The village is very nice too. Was told the meal at the restraint are really good and reasonable. Would recommend this site! It is in large grounds to the chateaux.
The layout is nice too.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to the port. The site is large with spacious pitches each with individual water, electricity and free wi fi.
The facilities were spotless although there were queues for the communal toilets in the morning.
There are many activities on site and the restaurant is good, , especially the moules & frites on Thursdays.
The reception staff were very helpful and even booked our dog into the local vets for the routine pet passport travel check.
As other reviewers have reported there are many lovely places to visit, and a walk or cycle ride along the canal path is a relaxing treat.
My only issue was the pitches in the wooded area looked unkempt and need maintenance in terms of cutting the long grass and trimming the hedges, the ground and grass took a long time to dry after the rain, a particular problem with a dog.
Overall a good site I would like to return and explore more of the area.

We initially stayed at this site in Aug 2011 as a one night stop over. We were amazed at the cleanliness, facilities and location of the site. This year we have just done 2 weeks. We still feel the same about the site and have had a fantastic time.
We visited Dinan, St Malo and the beach at Dinard. All within 30 mins drive. Cancale is slightly further away along with Fougeres but still worth a visit.
Combourg is 6km away. A nice quiet town, but on market days it gets busier and is worth visiting.
My 2 daughters aged 5yrs and 8yrs had a fantastic time and met some great friends, often not been able to understand each other due to language barriers. The site feels 100% safe and they were given much more freedom than on English sites which they enjoyed.
The site has a takeaway on site open from 4pm most days until 9pm ish. We used this a couple of times and the food was good.
The bar is very informal and relaxing like the rest of the site.
Most pitches if not all had individual water and waste points along with electric hook up.
The toilets and showers are immaculately clean along with the whole block which incorporated communal washing up and washing/ drying facilities. Each block had baby bathing and disabled facilities.
The staff/owners are very polite and helpful and speak wonderful English.
Of the people we talked to on site who were using the site as a stop off to the ferry felt as we did last year and are planning future stays at the site but not just as a stop over.
The canal 2 mins ride from the site offered amazing cycle routes for all the family.
We just can't imagine finding a site as good.
The whole holiday was relaxing and enjoyable.

I'm sitting here languishing in our huge space on this lovely campsite. Shame about the weather.
We knew we were going to arrive very early from St Malo but we emailed the site beforehand and were told that there was no problem as it was low season. They take Camping Cheques. Welcoming staff wouldn't let me speak my bad French, preferring to speak their excellent English!
We were given a choice of pitch, and soon settled in, satellite TV, WIFI et al. First class facilities, including sports equipment and a sauna, but the mixed sanitaires were avoided until we found the family room in the alternate building! There was even a camping dishwasher for the lame and lazy at one euro a go!
The bar was very pleasant, mostly occupied by retired Channel Islanders staying in their statics. Having sailed into all three of the major CI's I can't imagine why they would want to be here!
Scoured the nearby Combourg for shops, but only found a boulangere (closed), but there is a LIDL and an Intermarche some 5 miles down the road past Combourg.
We went to Mont St Michel today. The new car park systems were in operation. Very poor signage to the free shuttle, which entailed an 800 metre walk to get to it, and the exit process again was not well signed, with many folks were trying to poke money into an exit barrier machine which only took cards! It took us 40 minutes to get out.
Great site, more than just a stopover.

As soon as we arrived on site, we were shown straight to our pitch, there was a group of 3 of us (2 caravans and a campervan), all 2 adults and 2 kids each. Dads do the initial set up, mums start the breakfasts for kids that have just woken up and for the Dad’s that have been driving all night!
The pitches were very spacious and had hedge dividers, we were on a pitch with EHU and foul water drainage, quite close to the front of the site right opposite a little play area which was great for the younger kids whilst still being able to be watched by the parents!
The site is nice and spacious, the shower blocks and cleaning area are fantastic, relatively new and the most spacious showers I’ve ever seen. No matter what time I went to either wash the dishes, use the loo or have a shower, there was always a cleaner around. The block is split into 3 areas, Showers, Toilets and Dishes/Laundry. For the Laundry there is 2 washing machines and dryers (30 min wash for 2 Euro’s) or there is a row or sinks where you can hand wash the odd item.
There are two pools, a small one for toddlers and lager one, in fairness, my kids wanted to use the larger one and it did feel warmer but they did play between the two. Pools and area are clean (I’m a pool snob having one at home so know what to look for) and looked after. There is also a bouncy castle and trampoline and small play are which the children used, if kids are happy then mum and dad are happy! ;-). We played the mini golf course (crazy golf) and all is free to use!
There is Free Wi-Fi site wide and we used this a few times, very handy indeed.
The site has a daily delivery of bread and croissants first thing, although we did find the bakers is not that far away but the site delivery is convenient. There were a couple of stalls that turned up on site selling various goods and once a week the roast chicken man comes on site and cooks/sells chickens, potatoes and onions! We had this one night and they were delicious. Supermarket is a short drive away and a convenience store even closer. Local area was great for exploring and the moules frittes in St Malo stunning!
A mixture if nationalities on site, French, Dutch, German & British, which was fun in the mornings trying to fiqure out who was who and say Good Morning or Bonjour!
The site is run by a very friendly and exceedingly helpful couple, Delphine and Miguel, both them and the team are approachable and happy to help and made our stay very enjoyable. Our first trip as a family to France and an excellent site which impressed us. Hope to visit them again.

Only used this site for a one night stop over. Would love to visit again to stay longer. It was a lovely site with huge pitches and a new toilet block which was kept very clean.
Plenty for the children to do with BMX track, pool, garden chess and bouncy castle. We didn't use the restaurant and was too late to use the takeaway but both had good menus.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given a plan of the site and told to choose our own pitch. Most of the activities and eating places were in a walled area which made it very quiet when on the pitches.
If I had stayed longer I would have liked to explore the area by bike as it looked pretty flat with plenty of cycle paths. I found this an expensive site but would recommend it to anyone as I think it has it all.

We spent 3 weeks in France with our caravan and this was the first site we stayed on. We were using it as a stopover on our way to Brittany from Le Havre so had booked for just 3 nights. We wished it could have been more. It was delightful. We were given a very warm welcome and invited to choose our own pitch.
We couldn't believe the size of the pitches, more than double any we have stayed on in the UK! The pitches were all extremely well kept and the site was very tranquil with plenty of trees for shade. Clientele were a mix of British (particularly Channel Islanders), Dutch and French and everyone seemed very content and relaxed probably thanks to the hard work of the owners in making the site so welcoming.
The main pool was lovely and warm but the kid's pool was a bit chilly. A few more loungers are needed during busy times. There was lots for the kids with a playground, bouncy castle, trampoline, giant chess, ping pong, badminton, crazy golf, BMX track etc. There was some low-key entertainment as well. All activities were free and you could borrow equipment from reception.
There is a snack bar on site which was great but it could do with staying open a bit later. We ate at the restaurant one night and it was reasonably priced with good service and a good choice of well-cooked food.
The toilet/shower blocks were very clean and spacious but I was a bit disconcerted by them being communal. The area was very rural. We didn't explore much but we did have a trip to Mont St Michel which was very impressive.
All in all we were extremely impressed by the site. It was our favourite of the holiday and if we are ever in the area again we would go out of our way to stay here.

We spent 4 weeks there and thoroughly enjoyed it. The site was recently re-opened. The new owners, who were recently at Haliotis, Pontorson, are slowly bringing the site up to date. They have built a brand new sanitary block with enormous shower cubicles which is kept spotlessly clean.
There is a bar and restaurant on site, although the restaurant only opens in July and August.
The staff are friendly and helpful. I have given 10/10 for value for money because I used Camping Cheques. I don't know the prices otherwise.
There is still some work to be done there, such as adding more water points. Some pitches still need the hedges trimming, but this was being done while we were there, and as we were leaving in preparation for the busy high season.
There are supermarkets in Combourg, about 6 km (5 minute drive), and Dinan, St Malo and Dinard are a short drive away.
We'll be returning there again next year, and I'm sure that the majority of the improvements will be done.

Site had a rather run down feel. Reception and on site recreation buildings were very nice but toilet blocks badly in need of an upgrade. Shower cubicles small which meant you had to stand in base to open door resulting in dirty base. Could not find water supply near pitch and when enquiry made in reception I was told to use the tap in the toilet block, right next to the WC,s. Good recreation facilities for kids. Heated swimming pool. Grass and vegetation on site a bit overgrown giving a damp feel even whilst sunny. Wouldnt recommend for other than a stopover even though there is plenty to see in the area.
