We booked this site as a last minute getaway as it was quite local to us, the site is very neat and tidy and the owners very helpful. The location is fairly quite ,you get road noise during the day but that goes in the evening as the traffic dies down. The facilities are good and toilets and showers clean too. There is a fishing lake you can use by the chalets . The swimming pool was out of action but they were getting that sorted out. The bar was cheap and they have a pool table in there and a large tv. Ibstock is only three minutes away if you need shops, cash point etc,and the local indian and chinese takeaway deliver to the campsite.

Shops are in nearby Ibstock including a well stocked friendly butchers and a small bakers shop. The Main Road runs along the side of the site, traffic not to noisy. Small swimming pool £2 a day. On site bar with a few game facilities plus Ample outdoor seating. The owners Jan and Roy are very helpful and friendly. There are plenty of walks or cycling along the nearby lanes.

Nice little site with friendly owners. There was plenty of room (even though it was the bank holiday weekend) so the kids (& dog) had plenty of room to play. We used the pool which was a bit cool as the heater was not working we still had great fun but take your armbands as it is about 4ft deep throughout. There is only one toilet and one shower but they were clean, however I was worried that the shower tray would brake as it moved underfoot!
There is a pretty little fishing pond (but no fishing allowed when we visited). There are a lot of old cars between the camping field and toilets which makes the site look a bit scruffy. The bar is fantastic and very cheap. The site is right next to the main road which did not both me but my mum did find it a bit noisy at night when the lorries go past.
Well situated for Bosworth battlefield, Twycross Zoo and Conkers. This site has lots of potential and was still very nice despite all of it's little problems. I am sure that we will return to the site.

We stayed overnight here close to home (testing our new coleman evola tent).
Big tent family of 5 £10.00
Electric pitch £15.00
We will definitely go again.
It is a big house - mansion they have turned into a camping site at the back. So not a big site. The facilities are basic and clean, 1 shower and 1 toilet near the camping field but in the out house where the bar is (not for profit 1 stella 4 soft drinks 3.20) There is another set of toilets. Remember your toilet roll.
Their is a pool table and major t.V with sofa's round. There is the capability for a function of you want. Plenty of seating.
BBQ and camp fires allowed
Chalets are 35 or 45 a night and are nice clean and cosy.
The owners are very nice and friendly, I asked for a cup of tea at night and no charge.
There is enough room for the kids to run round and we had a game of cricket, and the children kicked a football about.
There is a lake but small you can fish if you want to.
There is also a small swimming pool but out of action this w/e normally £2.00 a go.
When we had packed up we went to Heather on the way back about 10 mins from camp site to pick your own fruit and veg site kids loved it, all in all a really nice short break. Without breaking the bank.
One down side, the noise from the main road. But that dies down at night, kids cant get out where you tent.

We stayed at this site for the weekend with friends who had a caravan, We wanted somewhere close as this was our first time in our tent.
The site was just what we were looking for, we had a great time, the kids enjoyed being outside and the great weather helped. Jan the owner was very friendly and made us welcome. The toilet and shower could do with a clean and updating but they were usable, tha bar area was good although only the men tried it! The swimming pool was out of action when we stayed but we are going back in July to try that out. Great for a weekend away.X
