We stayed at this campsite for 3 nights in order to visit Eurodisney and Paris city centre. After reading previous reviews we had high expectations for this campsite. However, these were crushed within moments of arriving.
The first pitch that we were allocated was opposite the toilet block and right by a sheer drop onto a railway line. Toilet's being close were not such a bad point as we have 2 small children, however the sheer drop (with fence at the bottom - useful!) was not so good. After unloading the tent etc from the car we realised we couldn't see the electricity point. After numerous trips back and forth to reception we realised that our point was 3 pitches away and our 25m cable would not reach. Therefore we were moved to another pitch, slightly better located (but miles from toilet block). Pitch just about big enough for out tent (Vango Amazon 600) and car.
All the camping pitches and chalets were tightly packed in (bit like a refugee camp!) and there was no green area for kids to play, therefore kids were playing in the roads! The pitches were not very well tendered. Long grass, weeds and rubbish from previous tenants.
The bar facility was good and food was good but very expensive. The shop was extremely expensive, but there is a supermarket not too far away.
Beware - train station was closed, therefore not the most ideal location for our trip to Paris. We ended up driving and parking at Eurodisney and getting the train from there.
Toilet block was adequately clean, but showers had no power and just dripped water and no cold water to brush teeth. Also no loo roll, soap or hand dryer.
The only good point was eurodisney was about 15 mins away.

We stayed at this campsite for 9 days in June 2009. The site is now run by Vacansoleil, the dutch holiday company and has had lots of improvements.
We arrived just after 8pm and the office had closed but there were still staff around to help out and they showed us around and we got to pick our own pitch.
The pitch was a fair size, they are individually numbered and separated by a small bush/flower bed. The pitches were grass with hard standing for a vehicle. If you are a touring caravan there were pitches that were ore hardstanding than grass but we were a tent so picked more grass than hard standing.
The gravel section was small red stones, wasn't really chalky tbh.
Electric points and water were easily accessible. The site is terraced with the touring pitches at the bottom section, the permanent tents next and then the chalets the holiday company has going up the hill.
We used a 6 man Lichfield Arapaho tent and it fit onto the pitch just in the grassed area, slightly larger pitches were available but would not fit some of the larger tents a lot of ukcs users will have.
There is a nice bar and restaurant in with the reception complex and a shop behind that stocks the essentials and has bread/croissants in a morning and also meat for BBQs.
The pool and adventure playground is in this area as well, the pool was v cold when I went in and there is an adventure slide in the pool for kids. There is a linked section to the enclosed pool area which is deeper.
We used the site as a base for Disneyland, about 20Km away and it took around about 40 mins and was an easy route avoiding the toll on the motorway as you come in from the Paris side.
Faremoutier is the closest town, this has a market on Saturday morning and there is a nice EcoMarche open most days if not everyday. This also has petrol and diesel at the best prices locally so fill up. You drive past on the way to Disney anyway.
The toilet block was nice, plenty of space and the showers were warm. All the taps were hot taps. Washing machine, pot washing etc was all here in the same place.
There is a good selection of recycling bins for glass, plastic etc.
I didn’t book the site in advance as we were outside school hols, I also used vacansoleil cheques bought in advance. These were a bargain for offseason use, £9 a night for pitch, 2 adults, car and electric per night. We paid 2Euro a night extra though for daughter then a little tourist tax as well.
The site was easy to find being signed up from the main road near Couloumier. It is behind a train station but the train was not intrusive to me at all. We enjoyed giving them waves!
When going into Paris I dropped the girls off at Disney and used the train station there. The train from the site doesn’t run very late and only 1 an hour so I didn’t want to risk missing it.
I would use this site again, it isn’t far from the 4vents site which I took the details with me incase the site was not very good.
At £9 a night it is amazing value, they were even running offers of stay 14 nights pay for 10 and stay 7 pay for 6 so I came home with a cheque. This will be less than ½ of what 4vents is charging I think.
All in all a great site with no problems at all, a mixture of caravans, tents and motorhomes from all countries were present.
There was entertainment on in an evening as well up at the bar, plus pizza takeaways for when your gas runs out (oooppppssss).

Booked this site for summer hols with a 12 year old boy with a view to visiting Paris, Provins and of course Disneyland. When booking online I paid an extra 5 euros for a preference for our pitch to be near the play park, however when we got there we were told to simply take any empty pitch that we wanted so would recommend you don't bother with the 5 euro preferences. The campsite was very easy to find but we arrived at 12.10 pm only to find that reception closed from 12-2pm! Receptionists and other staff spoke good English and were helpful. There were regular children's activities for little ones which looked fun - not sure how English children would be integrated but posters advertising the children's club were in French, Dutch and English and on display in the toilet block.
We found a pitch relatively near the toilet block and near the railway line but the trains going by weren't at all noisy, you hardly noticed them, and they stopped running after 9pm. Big down side was that the pitches were all really rocky and hard - it was near impossible to peg the tent down - don't know what the solution is to this without resorting to buying a caravan if we want to go back.
We didn't use the restaurant although it looked clean and was reasonably priced. The little shop was well stocked and we would have a fresh baguette for breakfast each morning which was delicious.
The swimming pool was fantastic and the general site amenities were good. The showers weren't wonderfully clean and although there was a male and female block, many men seemed quite happy wandering into the female block. I was quite British about this and found it a little strange but am aware this is the norm in the continent.
Distance from Disneyland was about ten mins in the car and was much enjoyed. Near by Provins was fantastic - a little expensive but definitely worth it. Provins is a medieval town with a stunning church and castle, birds of prey display and a jousting performance - in French of course but certainly didn't lessen the enjoyment of the show - the 12 year old even got the opportunity to hold an eagle and there was much oohing and ahing as the birds flew close over people's heads. The train station directly outside the camp site takes you to Paris in less than an hour.
Summing up, would love to go back but not sure I fancy pitching my tent on the hard ground. Fantastic location though and the 12 year old had a wonderful time.

Stayed here for 6 nights at the end of July. This site is now run by Vacansoleil with the vast majority of campers Dutch. Found that the pitches were quite small and now all mainly hardcore which is chalky and the residue this gets onto groundsheets and into the car. There is a good swimming pool, small shop and restaurant / take away. We used the shop for milk but did not use the restaurant. The showers could have been much cleaner. I think this was due to the fact that there were not really enough and they were used more often after people had been for a swim. No extra charge for the shower though. A convenient site for Paris and Disneyland. You can catch a train right next door into Paris, but the train times are not ultra convenient and only run by till approx 8.30pm.

I am writing this review some time after the visit so things on-site may have changed. We visited like most others whilst 'doing' Disneyland and Paris.
Site: Like many on continent, broken up into Fair size individual pitches. Generally flat and a bit gravelly. Wooded site with most pitches shaded. On site bar and restaurant expensive. Swimming pool great fun including a tented section just in case it got too sunny. Toilets/showers clean and good. Staff friendly and helpful. Shop good and office sold tickets for Disneyland and Asterix park. Good site.
Location: 20 mins or so to Disneyland and trains to Paris running regularly from Faremoutiers station which is virtually outside the campsite (no sleep disturbing train noises though). Faremoutiers a small French town with usual boulangerie, pattiserie etc. Think it had a supermarket. Mouroux (10 mins drive away) had a larger supermarket.
Other than Paris & Disneyland not a lot else to see/do in the area. Would recommend a day in Coulommiers though. Not much there, few tourists but a great place to chill and get a feel for a typical French town. Don't miss the fantastic municipal park - complete with fountains and wild otters.
