A lovely secluded site set in a stunning location and an ideal base to explore Derwent Water, Buttermere and Crummock.
The site had seen a lot of rain just prior to the visit, but was pretty well drained and I had no trouble finding a suitable pitch.
On site toilets and wash-up area were clean and functional (you will need a torch to visit the loo in the dark) and the main loos and shower block, only a short walk away by the farmhouse, were clean also. Big plus that use of the lovely warm showers is included in your fee and are available between 8am and 8pm.
Friendly, welcoming host and such a beutiful area. It was quiet when I visited with only a handful of tents and one small campervan on site. This is what camping is all about. Recommended site.

Idyllic.
Beautiful tree-lined campsite located in picturesque valley near Borrowdale. Views towards Scafell Pike.
Quiet and peaceful area with walking opportunities abounding.
Campsite facilities perfectly adequate.
Spent two nights at this campsite. First night although there were plenty of other campers, it was not noisy. Second night there were very few tents and it was as if we had our own private field.
Excellent value. Would recommend to anyone who loves the Lake District.
(From a first-time camper. )
There are also yurts available to rent.

We stayed here for a week over the August bank holiday, and chose this site due its proximity to Scaffel Pike. The facilities are basic with two cubicles in each of the mens and womens, and a couple of sinks for washing up, and rubbish bins.
There is no hot water or lights, so you need a torch at night. However, there is a good shower block up at the farm house which is a short walk from the campsite, and the showers are big and clean with plenty of hot gushing water.
For the price of this site even at peak times, the facilities are more than adequate and this place definitely offers good value for money, especially if you're only here for the hills.
The farmer is very friendly and helpful, and has his landline and mobile number stuck on the farm gate in case you need to contact him. In fact, the only down side to this campsite is that you won't want to leave!

Spent 9 nights here in August with my partner and on first impression found the owners friendly and helpful.
Site had toilets (not lit) and were well looked after. Also had a sink with cold water and drinking water on tap. Shower was a couple of minutes up the road at the farm house and again well looked after and very warm. We were very pleased with the facilities and the owners kindly freezed our freezer packs!
Ideal location for walking.
Unfortunately you can't pick your neighbours and we were disturbed by other campers every night! Not the fault of the site though.

I stayed here for 2 nights with a group of friends to walk Scafell Pike.
The site is a five minute walk along the road from the main farmhouse where the owners operate a B&B. There are showers there which have plenty of hot water and pressure and are free.
We pitched quite a few tents and also a large gazebo and although there was plenty of room the ground was quite muddy. It is right next to the river.
The site itself is very basic with a toilet block and washing up sinks that have no light. Having said that, the owners cleaned them both days we were there and regularly visited the site at other times too.
We arranged with the owners to have sausage and bacon rolls made for us on both mornings and although we probably paid over the odds, it was well worth it.
All in all, a basic somewhat muddy experience and I would definitely use it again.

Last minute trip to walk up Scafell Pike when weather looked promising. Quite a basic site, showers are 200m away by farmhouse. They looked ok but did not get a chance to try. Got there late (9.30pm, too late to book at the farmhouse) so just pitched and paid in the morning. This seemed to be ok. Some muddy areas, but there had been lots of rain in preceding days. Lots of midges. Fair number of spare pitches even though this was August. Surrounding area is great walking country.

I've used Seatoller farm campsite about 7 times now. Easily the best of the Borrowdale sites.
The camping field has toilets (unlit) and cold water washing up facilities.
There is a beck running through it which is deep enough in one part to swim in.
The showers are on the main farm complex which is ~300m from the camping field. They are free and large cubicles.
You can put you car next to your tent for no extra charge unlike the next closest site.
Fees are £6 per person for 2009.
The Yew Tree 'pub' serves bottled beers and has a great beer garden just up the road, and 1 mile up the road is the Rosthwaite Hotel which is a proper pub serving food and real ale.
9/10 Great site for outdoory types

We stayed here to walk Scafell Pike for 2 nights at the end of May 09. You need to pay and get a ticket at the farm before pitching so there was some cars entering campsite and then all turning round in the narrow road to get to the farm but this was not that much of a problem.
The campsite is in a nice location and had a good layout. We pitched underneath a tree and had caterpillars forever trying to get into our tent as they were falling from the trees.
The walk we did started from Seathwaite that was further down the same road as the campsite. Too far to add it onto our walk but there was parking spaces on the road.
The toilets and sinks on the campsite are average, the shower block and toilet next to the farm are excellent. Free hot water and very new.
There is a pub nearby (out of the campsite turn right and then the next right down a very quiet lane) but its a bit of a walk. The village of seatoller has a bistro type cafe place but we didn't see that it was open.
All in all good campsite, but would have been better if closer to other amenities like pub, cafe etc.

Seatoller Farm campsite is located in the village of Seatoller, next to a river and at the foot of walks to Scafell Pike, Glaramara etc.
The campsite was fine (if basic) No noise, but the midges were a major problem, we got torn to shreds and had to spend most of our time in our 2 man tents. Maybe we just got unlucky with the midges.

We stayed here in July and really enjoyed the visit. Although there were groups of people it was quiet after about 9/10ish. Pub within walking distance in stonethwaite which served some lovely food. The site has great views of the mountains yet is quite sheltered and very pretty. The facilities are basic: one toilet block with no light, sinks for washing up. The showers are at the farm buildings and are open 8-8pm. There are only three but we had no problems getting a shower in the evening.
