Stayed here for a week, part of which was during the 'Tremontagne wind' which comes off the Pyrenees and is strong, but it only lasts for 2 to 3 days and down in the lower part of the site, where the swimming pools were, it was not noticeable. We had a pitch overlooking the Med which was a treat to wake up to!Our pitch was a good size but some we noticed were on the small side. The toilet block was very well kept and lots of hot water.Collioure was easily accessible on the footpath (1.5 miles) . If you go in on a Market day (which is great) it may be advisable to walk in or park on the outskirts and walk in. We went into Spain, about 1.5 hours on the coast road. Do go to Notre Dame de la Consolation, signed from outside Collioure, and leaflets in reception for a peaceful experience, wouldn't have missed it, we took our picnic.Pools are small but there's also swimming in the sea from 3 little beaches on the site. Shop is well stocked. Reception and shop not as friendly as the other sites we've been on this year, but helpful when asked.Would return.

We spent 4 nights here having booked for 3 but we loved the site and decided to stay on for an extra night.

The pitch was a good size and had a view straight out over the Med which was great. The location of the site is perfect with easy access on foot or by car to Collioure; or by car Argeles sur Mer, we loved Collioure but found Argeles to be a bit on the tacky side, although it does have a wide sandy beach, but we loved to small rocky cove beaches at the site.

The facilities at the site are of the highest standard with loads of hot showers, washrooms and toilets, which are all kept wonderfully clean. The grounds staff are working constantly to maintain the lovely public areas of the site and we found all the site staff to be very friendly, although no english is spoken at reception we found no difficulty in communicating with the staff there.

We would certainly return to this site and would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends.

Stayed on this site summer 2008 and thought it was delightful. Pitch was large and we had fantastic view of the med. Although it is fair to say that they are very varied in size and some pitches face inland to the hills. Toilets immaculate. Swimming pools are both very small but my two young boys still loved them. The main beach is pebbled but the sea is a beautiful green/blue, nice being able to walk out of the tent in the morning, down some 50 plus steps and go for a early morning dip. Youngest boy did not like the fact that ther was no sand. The other two bays did not amount to much. Coulioure was beautiful town, Argeles Sur Mer was just dreadfull - tacky sort of sums its up. Liked the fact that it was primarily set up for tents and touring caravans it did have some statics and some pre-erected tents but no more than 10 of each. Nice mix of nationalities. A train line is probably about half a mile from the site entrance but the service is so infrequent it is of no consequence. I only mention so that you are aware. I thought the place was lovely.

This site is certainly not suitable for larger units. Ideal for tents/ folding campers with fantastic views over the Med. The swimming pools were a total 'let down' and could more accurately be described as big paddling pools! The sanitary blocks were spotless. Direct access on to stoney beach. Some very nice nearby walks and a good area. Reception staff not very welcoming. No english spoken.
No visible activities/parks provided for children. Small shop and takeaway that were extremely limited. Nice area to explore with lots of vineyards and restaurants. Close to the Spannish border. Ideal for a few day break for couples etc but I would not think it suitable for a family holiday.

This is one of very few sites in this part of France where it is possible to pitch your tent, caravan or motorhome actually in sight of the sea. The site is set on the clifftop in between the busy resort of Argeles-sur-Mer and the picture-postcard former fishing village of Collioure.

Many of the most popular pitches (those nearest the clifftop) are actually inaccessible to Caravans and Motorhomes, and so are perfect for tent campers. More are only accessible to motorhomes but not caravans (due to narrow and/or steep entrances). All pitches, regardless, are on terraces and are reasonably level, although there is quite a variation in size. Equally, some have very little shade and some are in shadow all day. Even the pitches away from the sea usually have a pleasant view of the mountains behind. The best advice is to arrive early if you can, and have a really good look around, as there are pitches tucked into all sorts of nice corners as well as on the mainstream terraces. Steel tent/awning pegs needed.

Most pitches have EHU available; many still have continental 2-pin sockets, so an adaptor is necessary. Power is 5A; cost is 4 euro/day.

There are a few specific motorhome pitches with EHU, and there is a M/h service point down near the reception.

Toilet facilities are excellent, and cleaned regularly throughout the day. Hot showers (all day) are included.
There is a coin-op Laundry, and a small shop selling most immediate needs as well as food mostly sourced from the Casino supermarket group.
There are 2 heated pools down behind reception (both are very small), and a children's play area. The Restaurant was still closed when we were there.

Access to the small, rocky, stony beach is by 2 private staircases which are locked at night.

Overall a very good site, with wonderful views of the coast. Cost is between 20 and 34 euro/day depending on season.

Picturesque Collioure, with its many restaurants and small shops, is a 40 minute walk over the hill through the vineyards (off the main road). The huge sand beaches, bustling boutiques and nightlife of Argeles-sur-Mer are only a short drive, and parking is plentiful.

Finding the site is particularly easy; stay on the dual-carriageway N114 (D914) Argeles bypass to Junction 13. Follow signs for Collioure, turning off to the Right at the Hotel du Golfe after 1km, and then immediately left. Camping les Criques is signed.
