We arrived on site and was greated by Dave the Touring site Warden, he showed us to are pitch and also helped with moving the caravan in to place. We then started to hook up to the EHU point but found are lead was to short, Dave then offered to borro us a longer lead which was great until we moved pitches to a grass pitch. Site was lovely and clean showers were excellent but a bit to hot for me always cleaned twice a day grass was cut swell nice and short. We had a problem with the electric on site. Tripping out as the. Site was full but Dave was on to it quickly the next day electrician arrived on site and all was restored. A small dissapointment was the pool was not working which we were looking forward to using but not open till 1st week in May which are granddaughter was looking forward to but not a big issue kids play area was OK but a better one just through the camp grounds this was great as it was next to Carnarvon castle. All in all a great easter week so are booking to go back in May bank holds we hope and test the pool. A well deserved pat on the back for Dave and his misses, oh and Dave was on the ball when some other campers were a bit loud at 1045 pm he asked them to be quiet well done Dave especially when there are kids sleeping see you again Dave &Michele

Beware of visiting after the schools go back in mid September as their facilities are being wound down. Even though the web site states they close on 31st October, there was reduced opening of the bar, the restaurant and games room was closed.
The heated outdoor swimming pool is open 10 till 4.
Toilet block was clean and tidy but the showers are small. There is a ramp up to the block and a hand rail in one shower for those who are disabled. They give you a key for the toilet block, one per unit on payment of a £5 deposit.
Wi Fi available but there is a £10 charge.
Small shop on the touring site was closed.
Good base for visiting Portmerion, Snowden, Anglesey.
Good pub (Anglesey) in Caenarfon which is accessable from the site over a foot bridge but check the times of closure.

Excellent site. 5 minutes walk to Caernarfon town. Very clean showers n toilet block, nice bar {Paddy's bar} which does lovely food. Nice play area and swimming pool. Fantastic site to explore North Wales, 20minutes drive to Bangor or Portmadog or get on A55, 40 minutes to Llandudno. A must to stay if going to North Wales.

Spent 3 nights here for august bank holiday it's been about 12 years since we last stayed here.
We were welcomed by a lovely couple and we were showed to our pitch which was nice and flat some are a bit uneven but not to bad, you carnt put up washing lines which is a bit of a silly rule, the children can only play football with soft balls but there is a little play area on site but there is also a big play park at the back of the site
We had use to the pool and club house but we never used it, you can order a paper from the reception and there is a small shop, I love the location of the site, easy walk into caernarfon, lots of places around to visit, a tesco down the road and also a bus route.
The toilets and showers are ok but they do need upgrading

We chose this site due its proximity to Caernarfon and we were not disappointed. Formerly a caravan club site it is now privately owned and the touring section is just a small part of the larger static park. The pitches were of a good size, grass kept nice and short. The toilet block is a mobile structure but kept very clean and tidy. We used the outdoor swimming pool on site and it was lovely and warm. The best thing for us is that you don't have to use the car. It is a 10 minute walk from the site into Caernarfon which is great and plenty of shops and eateries in the town. Tesco is a 5 min car journey down the road for provisions. We are returning in July as is a great little site.

Just had a lovely weekend break at Coed Helen Holiday Park. Excellent for motorhomes as everything within walking distance. The centre of Caernarfon is only a short walk or bike ride away with lots to see and do, as is Menai Straights. Beautiful views from the park. The touring park has been closed for a while but new owners have now opened it up again. Mainly grass pitches but grass kept short and it seemed well drained - although we haven't had much rain. Facilities not fancy but adequate. The site though large and mainly residential static caravans, was peaceful and well kept. New owners very friendly and extremely helpful. There is also a motorhome service point which was very useful. Will hopefully be returning soon.
