We discovered this site quite by chance. We had just spent a pleasant week at the L'Ocean site on the Ile de Re, and decided on the spur of the moment to 'Get some miles in' on the way down to our boat moored near Montpellier. A quick flick thru the Camping Europe book and 200 miles and one morning later we arrived at the Moulin de Campech, to be greeted by a lovely young English lady who couldn't have been more friendly or helpful: we even received a free drink!
We intended to stay only two nights as we were using Camping Cheques, and this site doesn't! However, the setting is so lovely, access to places of interest so easy (Buzet wine cave comes to mind. ), the service, good food and cheap trout fishing conspired to force us to stay for a week!
The place is let down only by the dated ablutions (with the notable exception of the new Disabled facility), but, given the current economic climate and the relatively small size of the site, that update will have to wait until better times arrive. However, they were always clean and the water was hot!
I should mention that the presence of a non-brit traveller was exceptional, so much so that I named my TomTom favourite for it as 'Brit Camp'!
Caravan storage is available at very sensible money, so sensible that we left our van there instead of lugging it Montpellier and paying 35 euros a month for summer storage. We will visit the site again on our way home in the Autumn, and leave the van there until next Spring, perhaps using it as a starting point for a trip to Portugal.
Recommended!

This is a lovely campsite in an understated region of France. We visited on recommendations of family who had stayed on the site - and then migrated to the area! It is suited mainly to quiet adults who appreciate good food in the restaurant (choose your own trout!) and a well-run site. The management was very welcoming and hard working. The pool is super if you can climb several steps. The only criticism is that the showers need updating although the facility was kept very clean. There is much to discover in the area if one appreciates the history, gastronomy and subtleties of rural France. We definitely intend to vist next year (and hope the showers will have been improved)!

Although I have put 2008 as the visit year -- we have been to this site for the past 4 years and each year there has been an improvement -- all for the better.
Number Of Pitches: 80
Information:
This is a wonderful English family run site (99% Brits) something like SAGA on wheels as it was put -- but the ambiance - great.
Good size pitches --some in full sun and others in full shade -- but all good -- only slight problem -- the water taps are slow ! Some mobile phones cant get a signal -- but I considered that a good thing.
The first question you are asked when you book in on a hot day 'what would you like to drink' [free]
They have a restaurant every night food cooked by the daughter and it is simply wonderful French food with a British style.
Fishing -- you can hire rods for the day -- or take your own - for a small fee -- and catch - Rainbows and Tiger trout. Take home and BBQ -- pay per Kilo --
Nice clean family heated swimming pool.
Quiz night and BBQ nights each week -- wonderful laugh. Wednesday and Saturdays
Bar Tab - Pay at the end of holiday on leaving.
