Brilliant 8 nights camping.
I wont duplicate the excellent comprehensive reviews above - I concur!
Could not fault the camp site - maybe avoid pitches near / facing entrance due to late night returning traffic!? ( 11pm? )
Kids ( 12 & 15 ) loved it -
We took bikes - and great place to cycle - locally ( exploring the many nearby ancient monuments ) or a short ride ( 10 mins ) to the shops / beach.
Beaches great - swam in the sea every day - safe, warm ( !?) good choice of coarse sandy beaches - N. B although shallow ( 15 foot - 300 yards out ) water does quickly get deep - so watch young children / non swimmers.
*don't buy bread from the campsite*! make the effort and get proper quality from local bakery.
Will go again - BUT need to find more driver friendly route - I went Dove Calais @ 1 am and avoided pay roads - so took 8 hours driving in France.
Any tips for best / cheapest way to get there?

Visited here for 3 nights whilst touring the south west having previously camped here with our teenagers 10 years ago. La Trinitie sur Mer has a beautiful, well developed ocean going Marina and lovely shops and markets within 2 kms from this site. Turn off satnav at bridge and use visual signs to site. Site is near river and in a quiet area. Delightful. Very helpful, well spoken English at reception. Mixture of mobile homes and touring pitches but separated. Facilities older but clean and never queued. Grassy pitches, some open, some hedged. Different sizes with or without electric. Mostly French campers. Fabulous pool complex of chutes, slides and pools which can be covered during cool or wet weather. Bar, takeway games room and crazy golf available. Lots of safe areas for children to play. This year[ for the summer season ], there was a Trinibus which went from campsites to village and beach and returned several times a day. Provided by the village, IT was Free! We really appreciated this. Thanks. Definitely will return in the future.

So it looks like it's been a while since a review, and I'm pleased to report, according to previous reviews - nothing has changed!
We were so so happy with our first experience of camping on the continent!
Like other reviews it proved to be very clean, great layout of cleaning/washing facilities, the pitches were absolutely perfect size and standard, and the pool. Well, what a superb facility.
This campsite was everything we expected and required for a family of three which included a 3yr old.
As for the area, we were there for 3 nights so didn't get much chance to explore. However, we used the Super you in La Trinitie-Ser-Mer for everything - good fish though we did spot a fishmonger (poissionerie) off the main street in LT-S-M! The beaches around the area all seem to be good and clean and we managed to make sure we were there at the right time with the tide coming in.
We'd go back next year and that's usually a good indication.

Had a stay of six days in July, and have to say it was a great location. No point in repeating what the other reviewers have already said, but I concur with it all. Facilities were spot on, and site was very child friendly. Local area well served by great beaches and safe bathing. We will definitely return at some point in the future. I would say that traffic may be an issue during busier periods, as there is a lot of small roads trying to cope with large amounts of visitors. Found the harbour very impressive, with a huge amount of yachts and cruisers moored. When we were there, there were three ocean going racing yachts tied up on the quay. It was some sight.

Just back from 2 weeks at Camping Kervilor.
Great site - the pitches all appeared to be quite flat and were separated by 5 - 6 ft hedges with a spattering of trees at various heights and age. Overall, the site was very green and well laid out. Our pitch was well shaded by mature trees and was very close to the the 'play' area which had mini-golf, table tennis, tennis and basketball/football courts and a sandy play area with climbing frame. Electricity was 2 pitches away and a 20m extension made it - take a euro converter for your ECU.
The mini-golf appeared to have suffered slightly from tree roots lifting one or two of the holes/courses and cracking the base - hardly a major problem at all and, if anything, only added to the difficulty!
The pool complex is right beside the bar area. It had 2 main pool areas - one covered (retractable roof) and one open. The open area is the 'splash' pool fo the slides - 1 curly slide and a four lane straight with a bump in the middle. The open area also included a swirl/spa pool and a toddler friendly pool with standard French mushroom! The slides are absolutely great and were a real attraction for us! The covered area included the main pool and a toddler pool. You could swim in the main pool - went from approx 2m to 1m depth and was approx 10m in length. There was a separate older curly slide at the side of this however this was not open when we were there.
The bar area is open at times through the day and also has the take-away. Meals were available on either a takeaway or on a sit-in at the bar basis. The food is limited (frites, steak, sausage, croque monsieur and hamburger) however, all offerings are very tasty and well cooked. We BBQ'd most nights - charcoal allowed but no gas BBQ's.
The main reception also has a small shop which carries the essentials (beer, wine, crisps, etc!). The Super you at Carnac Beach is very well worth visiting - excellent shop that has almost everything from food to camping equipment. It's only approx 10 mins by car. We took our bikes and cycled all over the area - found some interesting forrest paths! - and were able to cycle to Super you easily.
The staff were all very friendly and English was spoken by many of them.
The toilet facilities were very good and clean. They contained showers, wash basins and toilets (male and female separate) and a dish washing-up area.
Would definitely visit this site again. But may take an air rifle for the wood pidgeons!
External to the site, would definitely recommend visiting:
1. Lorient Submarine pens - great day out and would highly recommend the guided tour. Whilst in French only, it allowed access into the main sub pen (see the scene in Das Boot) and was fascinating.
2. Quiberon - great beaches all along the penisula, particularly on the W side. Take your pick! Quiberon itself is very nice and quite busy.
3. Carnac standing stones - must do visit - along witgh the main visitor centre.
4. Museum of Prehistory in Carnac - excellent and interesting museum. A great example of a museum set out to inform rather than rip off!
Please let me know if I've missed anything out or can help.

We spent 14 nights on the camp site the last july/first week Aug. The pitches are a good size divided by hedging. We had a pitch to the rear of the campsite & for the first 10 days hardly any neighbours but from the 1st weekend of August the site was busy. We booked about 3months before and said we had a large tent (10m x 10m) but we were easily accommodated!
The Toilets blocks seemed to be cleaned constantly and were always spotless. There was always an abundance of hot water and we never queued for the showers, sometimes the sink cubicles were busy (children's bedtimes etc) but not a real issue (tip - the block behind the pool was nearly always empty!)
The site lent us a BBQ for duration of stay with no charge.
The playground is good, pitch and putt good. My 6 & 8yr olds enjoyed the kids club (not really supervised so not suitable for younger children to be left but parents always welcome to stay). Pool area always clean and children enjoyed the slides. We were happy for our children to cycle around the site on their own to see their friends and to walk the site shop to get bread/croissants in the morning. Equal mix of British, French and Dutch on site which was great. Evening Magic show for Children worth going to. Would recommend this site to families.
This is our 3rd year camping in Carnac area and it is lovely. Would recommend supermarket Super you at Carnac Beach (not town centre one) for ease (about 10mins car journey away) Beaches in surrounding areas are great. Trinite sur Mer is about 10 min cycle from site but not really walking distance with children in tow!
Aurray and Vannes are worth a visit - very quaint.

This was our second visit to Camping Le Kervilor.
Its a great campsite, both our girls 16 (out every evening with other teenagers) and 11 love it.
Toilet/shower blocks kept very clean. We all loved the swimming pool and slides, again kept very clean. Most pitches are a good size, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, we booked direct and chose our pitch.
Le Trinite is lovely to stroll around in the evening and go for a meal, a very pretty town.
Auray and Vannes are well worth a visit.
There are some lovely beaches around Carnac and smaller coves and beaches near Le Trinite and St phillibert.
There is also Quad Biking Horse Riding and other activities within a short drive.
Lots of supermarkets within a 15 minute drive.
Overall a really great place to visit, our 11 year old loved the pool and the beach and our 16 year old made lots of friend of similar age.
An Excellent site for all ages.

Excellent site.
Good size, level pitches. The ground is earth so pitching was easy with no need for extra strong pegs. We had electricity, 10amp and hired a fridge. We pitched our Tigris800 and had space for a picnic table, four bikes and car without feeling cramped. Reasonable privacy with privet hedges and most had some shade.
Toilet block - always clean, cleaned at frequent intervals throughout the day. Plenty of hot water. The same was true of the sinks for washing dishes and clothes. No matter what time of day I used them there was instant and plentiful hot water.
The second week (french holiday) it got very busy but the shower blocks stood up to the extra numbers, still lots of hot water and although I saw some people queuing for showers I didn't need to either for myself or when taking the children.
Kids club am and pm. Ours aged 7 and 5 used it am and thought it was good. There was no need to sign up for the week/session just turn up and take part for some or all of the session. There was crzy golf/scooby, beading/colouring/football competitiions. The children played ping pong (4/5 tables). The play area had a climbing frame, slide and swings.
In the second busier week it still felt friendly around the site and we still felt ok to let the children cycle around the site.
There was a real mix of nationalaties. British, Dutch, French, Spanish.
The pool has 5 waterchutes and the water I'm guessing was heated as it was cool but not freezing! The pools were an ok size, not huge. I only noticed that they seemed a bit small/busy in the second week. It did feel too busy on the sunniest days in this second week. Although signed as not 'non surveille' there was always one or two staff members who were quick to act if they thought someone was in trouble in the pools.
There was a takeaway which had a small menu, the usual burgers/croque/hot dogs/chips. You were also able to order roasted chickens for lunch or evening. We didn't use the takeaway so I'm unable to rate it. There was also a visiting pizza and crepe van 2/3 times each week. They were reasonably priced and the pizza we had was tasty. (The crepe van was cheaper than the takeaway crepe on the quay at Trinite).
The site is well placed for visiting the area. Trinte, Carnac, Quiberon, Vannes all within easy reach/short drives. There are good beaches at the first 3 mentioned and more to be found. Lots of neighbouring campers surfed. All have plenty of eating places with prices ranging from takeaway/cheap and cheerful/a la carte with a price tag to match! There is also lots of choice with fish/crepes/galettes being popular.
We booked via an agent so value for money only 8/10, wished we booked direct!
I would definitely use the site again and would recommend to others.

Wow what can I say 10 out of 10!
We really had a great time at this site.
Total time spent was 11 nights towards the end of the holidays, so the last few nights were cheaper as per French times. This site has 4 large swimming pools, great water slides and loads of seating. I researched it well and toured the virtual site tour on line.
Pitch: -Spacious and secluded , went for a grand pitch in a unit of four close by.
Facilities :- Clean and abundant, just what you expect from a 4 star site.
Entertainment: - Apart from the pool, where we spent lots of our time with the two kids (8 and 5) there was evening Kareoke, Boules, table tennis, Childrens play ground, and Kids Club (which was running down as we were late arriving)
Staff: - Super, friendly and willing to help.
Close By:- Trinite - lovely classic French town, good market (take your own bags remember) Fresh quay-side fish market, and lots of shops.
Utterly recommend this site-You wont regret it!

First trip abroad camping and we couldn't have chosen a better site. Had an absolutely great time.
We got to choose our pitch and managed to get one right on the corner behind the pool, it was HUGE! and in easy reach of the shower/toilet block and pool for the girls (9 & 6 at the time). Kids loved the site, and we often had to go hunting for them in the playground after dark.
Local area is very nice, Carnac has a real holiday feel to it and isn't too far in the car. You can walk to into town and enjoy the cafe bars and harbour.
