I booked all 5 pitches for friends to stay here for the illuminations weekend. This CL is a gem, its in a lovely location close to Wrea Green which is a pretty village. Its close to the big resorts of Blackpool/St Annes yet you feel like your miles away as its so peaceful.
Had a meal at the Birley Arms pub, food great and lovely service.
The pitches are gravel hardstanding with all service connections. Lots of grass for the kids to play on and its dog friendly too.
Overall I would recommend this CL and if you cant get on this one ask for Greenacres which is also a CL owned by same owners and next to it with same facilities.
Forgot to mention lovely friendly owners too. Its a contender for the CL of the year!

We bought our van and tug in April 2011, and being new to this sport [sic] we travelled 3 miles from home to this site! It is a CL and has everything to offer to those choosing these sites.
It is surrounded by open country, but Warton (shops, garage, car wash, pub, chippy etc etc) is less than a 10 minute walk, and Wrea green (pub, classy restaurants, shop) is the same distance away.
A shopping trip to Kirkham (Morrisons and a street full of ATM's and shops) is a very short drive. The beauty of Lytham, and St. Annes is less than 15 minutes away, and if you have 'yougun's' Blackpool is 20 minutes.
There is (as you would expect from a CL) nothing on site, but the hardstandings are service pitches at only £12.50/night (including awning) and they recycle!.
The Birley Arms (pub) is a 5 minute walk (fab food), and Rigby's restaurant (fine country cooking) again 5 minutes walk. The unmade road that the site is on makes a great first and last dog walk.
The site owners are nice people too, well worth a visit!

We spent our first overnight break in our new motorhome close to home but could have been miles away.
Good welcome from the owner who escorted us to our pitch on a quiet site with well drained hardstandings and individual water, electric hook up and drainage.
Very secure with height barrier(which the owner unlocked on arrival)and locked gate(£5 deposit for key)Good recycling facilities and emptying facilities.
Within walking distance of local pub serving good food(Bryning Arms) and a restaurant(Rigby's farmhouse restaurant)Weds-Sunday.
We don't have kids but not much for them and a bit out of the way, however Blackpool close and the Bryning Arms pub about 100m down the road has a play area.
Good lane (but very muddy when we were there) for dog walking.
We'll definitely be back.

Previous review explains everything about the site and I can confirm that a year on, the facilities are still as good, as is the welcome by the owners.
We had 2 young children (2 and 4yrs old) and felt very safe, having the gates and fencing around the site.
There are no play areas, but the very well drained grass, gave them enough room to run about and play games. Plus the grass had just been cut, so the grass cuttings kept them amused (Chucking big handfuls up in the air and making nests etc.).
Pitches are very well spaced, so didn't feel cramped at all. Each pitch has its own electric, water and waste drain (Plus night light).
Cost us £11.00 per night, which includes electric and awning.
Pub and farmhouse restaurant within walking distance. Plus Ware Green a 5min drive away, with nice pub and a Spar/Post office.
All in all, despite the very high winds and torrential rain, very enjoyable.

Have used this site twice this year and will be booking again.
It has no Wc or shower facilities but is great in every other respect. Owners extremely helpful.
Arrive at their bungalow and they will then escort you down to the barrier entrance. He unlocks the barrier for you and gives you a key to the gate(£5 deposit)and then takes you to your pitch. On the day you leave the barrier will be unlocked ready. Then just call back at the bungalow on the way out for your £5 when you hand back the key.
5 hardstanding pitches, each with its own electric/water and drain. Plenty of grass between each pitch.
The site surrounded by fields and close to the farm. Very quiet.
Has very tidy waste disposal/small recycle area, fully lit.
Is in walkable distance to a pub/food. And in easy driving distance to Blackpool/St.Annes etc.,
