 This site is on a working farm, sheep shearing was taking place whilst we were there. The facilities are basic but functional, views are excellent and the atmosphere on the site very relaxed.
The shower operates by £1.00 coin for 8 minutes showering - our entire family (4 of us), showered in that time - but you may not be that familiar with your camping companions!
Surrounding area is excellent for hill walking and touring. We visited Heights of Abraham (expensive but interesting) and then the National Stone Centre in Wirksworth (free and very interesting). We also visited Arbor Low and Lathkill Dale - both good historical locations, as well as very attractive.
Shops etc in Hartington. Apparently the farm sells milk if you provide your own container. Check out the fossils in the stones making up the barn walls!
