The beauty of this site is its location. It is perfectly placed for the beach, which is down a steep path which starts directly across the road from the gate at the bottom of the camping field.
The Pembroke coastal path can be accessed from the same path. The sand dunes have paths criss-crossing them in many directions and the whole area is doggy heaven.
There is a good pub 10 minutes walk away.
The toilet/showers are clean but basic. The showers could do with lighting. I couldn't see
What I was doing in one of the showers so I tried
Another which was facing another direction.
After hanging my clothes on the back of the door I switched on the shower and it was so powerful that the water reached the back of the door and all my clothes were wet through. I am sure that I am not the only person to have experienced this.
The lady who owns the campsite is very friendly and helpful. She was kind enough to buy some milk for us when I mentioned that we had run out of milk. I would definitely recommend this site and would certainly return when re-visiting the area, which is absolutely magnificent.

Stayed here for a few nights and the weather was atrocious. The site Is an open field bounded by low hedges which makes it very exposed as far as weather blowing in from the sea is concerned. Several tents collapsed whilst we were there even though they were using their cars as windbreaks.
I imagine if the weather is favourable the field is in a beautiful position even if it is a long uphill hike to get back from the beach.
You can drive down and back and there's a pay and display car park almost on the beach so no need to break into a sweat. Nice un-commercial beach so take all you need with you.
The elderly lady who owns the site is extremely friendly and leaves you to get on with your holiday with the least interference.
Plenty of toilets, showers etc. But not many water points or grey water drains on the field.
We paid £20/night for our stay here and thought this to be a bit expensive - no tracks on the field and no lighting after dark and the facilities could do with modernising.

The open view of the sea, the location close to a sandy beach and the central grassy space where you can fly kites all make this a relaxing and beautiful place to be. Even though it was the first weekend of the school holidays, there was still a feeling of spaciousness about this site.
The showers were free with as much warm water as you liked and there was never a queue. The toilets were regularly and thoroughly cleaned although inevitably got a bit messy in between times with small children around, but not that much of a problem. The owner was helpful and friendly and let you get on with things basically.
We had been worried about having lots of dogs around as our daughter (12) is a bit scared of them, but this was not a problem. All the dog-owners on the site were responsible and the beach is so huge that you can't imagine it being full of dogs or anything else for that matter. The path up from the beach is steep and long and a bit difficult in places (soft sand) and not for those who aren't able-bodied, but there are other beaches you can drive to.
There was a small snack van on site morning and evening which was a useful thing to fall back on if you hadn't managed to get to the local shop (although the local Londis supermarket was open from 6 until late).
The area has stunning coastal walks such as the Stackpole Estate (National Trust) where you get a map of easy routes and advice at the car park. The Bosherton lily ponds were blooming when we were there, and it's possible to park and walk round these even if you're not very fit.
We visited Carew Castle which has an unusual and striking location on the estuary. There were medieval activities for children going on every day, which were really well done - bread making and clay tile making as well as the more usual archery activities and body armour demonstrations.
Generally a great site and area which we would happily return to.

Just come back from a lovely long weekend at this site, as it was our first visit didn't know what 2 expect. But on arrival we were greeted by a wonderful panoramic sea view the site is clean but left natural which is great;
The owner is a lovely lady who freezes your ice blocks for free if you have them on the wall by the house, she puts them back out at 8:30 each morning
The showers and toilets were always clean and I quite enjoyed the no frills design
The walk to the beach is beautiful but very steep climb back up;
The pub also has a wonderful sea view and serves good home cooked food, dogs are allowed in
We will come back again, loved this site

This is one of our favourite sites for the simple reason it is basic, with plenty of space for the kids to run around.
It's one large field, with hook-ups at the top and side of the field. If you don't want electric, just pitch up where you want.
There are very basic facilities on the site, but they do the job!
The site is perfect for the beach, but beware as it's a steep (safe) climb back up to the site.
There is however one downside to the site. During the winter when the site is closed, sheep are left into the field. Unfortunately, the little 'gifts' that a flock of sheep will inevitably leave behind were not cleaned away for the start of the season.
In a nut shell, if you like basic but beautiful and hate being told what to do then this is the place for you!
